They refinished a clawfoot tub and a year later a flaw showed up. They came back and totally refinished the tub. They stand behind their product and I would use them again. Porcelite was recommended by my Realtor. My mothers home was 30 years old and in need of a change.From pink tile, green tile and gray tile in other bathrooms. Short of major rip out,she told me to re-glaze the walls,shower,tub. I did and WOW. The job is amazing.It looks like white tile. Does not even look re-glazed. I am in process of having floors tiled. The new look is incredible! The re-glazer is totally professional and very cautious with taping all other surfaces. I will be taking a photo after it's all done. It is amazing. I was met by a worker and liked what I saw. Next day I signed a proposal and the worker was on time, called to inform me he arrived (I was at work and teens at home) - FABULOUS result. My tub was the original installed cast iron of 48 years ago when the condo was built. I asked for the brushed nickel drain and over-flow plate and paid a little extra so that all would match. My former tub had been reglazed and when I purchased my unit 4 years ago I had no idea - then the ughly surfaced and Porcelite recommended liner as best and highest use with my family circumstances. Many folks on my neighborhood listserv recommended Porcelite when I inquired about getting my bathtub refinished, and I was not disappointed! I called a few other places for price comparisons, and many of them had a low flat rate, but then charged extra for things like "fixing chips" or "a tub that's been redone before." As someone who hates haggling & fears uncertainty in prices, I was worried about getting nickled & dimed. Then a few people I called for estimates took the opportunity to rail against the federal government and all of their regulations concerning bathtubs (who knew?), which didn't really please me, given that I'm a faithful federal employee (know your audience, folks!). Porcelite offered a reasonable flat rate that included everything, and they kept the political commentary to themselves, so I made an appointment. The guy who arrived to refinish my tub was great. He came on time, brought all of supplies up to my third-floor walk-up, and got straight to work. As it turns out, refinishing a bathtub is one of the most chemically toxic, labor-intensive home-repair projects you can have, and this guy did it with great aplomb. He even had me & kitty leave the apartment during the final stages, because that's when the fumes get really toxic. It took 48 hours to dry, but now my tub looks great and I couldn't be happier. Porcelite refinished my 100-year old cast iron bathtub one year ago. THE GOOD: The tub looks as good today as it did the day they performed the work. What was once a rusty, dingy tub that never looked clean, is now a sparkling white tub. No one would ever know that the tub ever looked anything other than beautiful. THE BAD: The worker did not turn off the exhaust vent in my bathroom, so while he sprayed the tub white, the fan pulled white vapor up onto the ceiling and the fan cover. Porcelite also got some overspray on my chrome fixtures. After reporting the issues to Porcelite, the worker promptly returned and cleaned the overspray off of my fixtures and repainted my ceiling. It is now not apparent that anything ever went wrong. CONCLUSION: Even though the refinishing involved some overspray, the end product is beautiful, the errors were corrected promptly, and the price was fair. I would definitely use them again. read more

Todd installed a liner with no issues - with warranty, good service, etc. Trouble arose when a downstairs neighbor experienced leaks in their ceiling and the source was my tub and a problem with the installation. Fortunately for the warranty Porcelite happily sent Todd out to repair/replace at no charge, and all was well. Until the caulking turned yellow. They I scheduled replacement and one missed appointment, and now another one this morning. Blame it on traffic or poor planning, but they are unreliable for scheduling. read more

I was not certain what to expect with re-glazing. The company re-glazed a bathtub, bidet, and soap dishes. The work was beyond my expectations, the results are amazing and everything gleams.
