I want to give this place its flowers cuz man this place broke da mouth!! So ono, and I'd definitely come back again! Got the #3 sandwich and it was amazing! It's basically the perfect combination of kalua pork in a grilled cheese sandwich. And whatever sauces and extra ingredients they use just adds so much flavor and helps bring out the smokiness and savoryness (if that's even a word lol) of the pork and cheese. By far the most pleasant surprise of my Kauai trip. I'd come back here again for sure!! Service was nice and the ambiance was unique. Especially their beach themed tables that was gorgeous to see in person. 5 stars!! Compliments to the chef yum yum :)

Great spot! Located in an outdoor shopping area, the service is friendly, fast, and the food came out amazing.

Brah.. truly aloha in a bun. Stopped by after a long day riding waves near poipu. I don't even remembah what I ordered, just asked braddah what he would recommend and BAM. What you see is what I demolished fam. Everyone talks about puka dawgs near poipu, but man.. these grinds hit so much harder at porky's. Go chance em.

I did not expect to have the best kalua pork out of a smol place called Porkys, but maybe that's my fault. Girlfriend and I shared the Number Three and while the sammich was definitely filling and very satisfying, the glutton at heart definitely wished I had a whole one to myself. The pork was so tender, and even more flavorful. The cheese blend was tasty and worked extremely well with the pork, and the bread did a fantastic job soaking up all the flavors. The one thing I will say is that the sweet porkys sauce is definitely too sweet, and for me, it was completely unnecessary. Only dipped a finger to taste it but it definitely would've worstened the sammich had we used it. Sammich came with a side, none of which we cared for at the time, so we went with rice. Rice was nothing special. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. Can't really ask for too much more than that. The place is smol but comfy and gives off food court at the mall type of vibes, which given the location makes perfect sense. Overall a 4.5/5 experience, rounded down to 4

7.5/10 Got the #2 which is the beef hotdog and pulled pork. Had high expectations for this place bc I've heard some hype. It was good don't get me wrong, but a little overrated imo. Felt more like a pulled pork sandwich with a hotdog as opposed to the opposite.

Every bite was delicious (portions are large you could even split it) except for the Mac salad you are gonna want your own

One of our favorite places on the island to. Get Kauai pork. It is so full of flavor and let's just say look no further for Mac salad (get an extra side you won't be disappointed) staff was pleasant and friendly atmosphere is comfortable with outdoor or indoor seating. Add this to your must try while on the island.

Omg this place was delicious. Probably our favorite meals of the trip. The staff were super nice, and certainly cooked and prepared the food with love. The place is mellow, low key, easy seating, and they serve you in to-go containers because they know you want to take the rest home if you don't finish it! The meat was so moist and delicious. We will return!!!

A million times, yes you should come here! Staff is friendly, plenty of seating, and it's tasty! My guy and I split the Number Three and it was the best kalua pork we had the entire trip. The sammich was very filling and we enjoyed every bite of it. While the sammich was mouthwatering and is a 5/5 for me, the rest of the dish has me bringing the rating down to a 4: - the rice was lukewarm and didn't add anything to the dish - the sauce was also too sweet, so we didn't use it - it's pricey. I wish they had options to not do a combo because we didn't need a side or a drink Still one of our favorite meals on the island.

This is a cute place! I loved the decor and the tables were beautiful. It is super chill here. They have a few box lunches to choose from. My husband loved his hot dog. My pork was a little dry and it wasn't my favorite Mac salad. But the sauce was really good.

#3!

Love the #3! You can't go wrong with kalua pork and grilled cheese! Employees are always smiling and friendly; service is quick and the food is hot when you get it. I love the tables here; they are super cool. This is a prime spot for people watching. Get the banana bread if it's there - it's delicious. Portions are large and the sweet sauce is killer! Love going here for a quick lunch.

This small restaurant is in the middle of a mid-sized retail shopping center. Their menu is straight-forward, see my pic. Also check out my drink menu pic, particularly their drink pricing. We were a bit early for the lunch hour and we were served quickly. Of course, we had to try the Number One. This is a meat lover's delight: a pork sausage covered with kalua pork. It is seasoned with diced pineapple and grilled onions - can't go wrong. The bun held it all together. Overall, the meat flavors were mild but you go away filled.

The #3 kalua pork grilled cheese was excellent comfort food! Can't go wrong with a delicious hot grilled cheese sando after a long day outside. Loved eating all the poke daily, but fitting in a hot savory grilled cheese meal just provided a different kind of good eatin! Noted the 2 hot dog joints before the trip, porkys and the one by the beach which seemed popular. But I just couldn't consider eating a hot dog in Kauai, no matter how good it may be, so I chose porkys solely for the grilled cheese:) Both sauces were good, but if getting just one, the sweet & spicy sauce is the way to go to dip extra flavor punch to your sando. Pickled red onions was perfect to munch on in between the savory rich bites of the grilled cheese. And the Hawaiian Sun green tea was excellent refreshment. Initially sat inside, but then said why not sit outside in paradise?! But sitting at the outdoor bar seating did expose face to the sun, so do wear a hat or sunglasses if sitting there:) Just choose the #1 entree + side + drink and enjoy!

If you're visiting Kōloa you HAVE to try this spot. A hidden gem, with big portions and great service! I'm not a big pork fan, but it was so moist! Def stop by if you're in the area.

We braved the line and after 30 mins we finally had our Puka Dogs! Definitely, Definitely worth it!…read moreThey're not your cheap, run of the mill hot dogs you'd expect at a beach. Every part of the process, from the worth it wait in line, to placing your order, to moving off to the side to watch it being made is part of a grand story that ends with that first bite. The employees are super friendly and willing to help you make up your mind. It has the look and feel of an indoor street vendor with a beach front ambiance. I definitely recommend the fresh lemonade. I got half the sugar and it was plenty sweet. Lots of seating across the street in the picnic pavilions. Most everyone sitting there was eat a Puka Dog.

She rhetorically asked (i.e., told us) that our job is now to turn away any other customers who walk up and, in exchange, we would receive a free lemonade. I personally took issue with this because they transferred the uncomfortably tense job of sharing disappointing news with customers from them to me, and without my consent. That is completely their job. Never mind that the "free lemonade" costs them almost nothing so it's kind of an insulting exchange even if I had consented. Management should consider having an actual employee outside to do this job, or at least put out a sign saying "sorry we're closed!"

Although you may miss this place as you drive by because it literally is a hole in the wall of a little strip mall of sorts you have to look for it. But as that description goes, typically the food found in a "hole in the wall" it is usually very delicious and they did not disappoint! The lady who took our orders was very friendly. I let her know that I was gluten-free which they were able to accommodate. We have the taco bowl or burrito bowl or a "bowl" as it's listed. You first choose burrito, bowl, or tacos, then choose your meat, which is ground beef, chicken, Carne Asada, fish, which happened to be shark today. Then you choose if you want sour cream and cheese, etc., guacamole, then choose Mexican, brown, or regular rice and then what type of beans, black or pinto. Then you choose your sauce, jalapeño mild up to very hot and then pico de gallo. Then you can choose your jarritos drink or the one canned guava drink. You get a size nice portion in a paper bowl covered with foil and it is delicious & seasoned to perfection. So they did not disappoint! Parking is tight to be mindful of those backing out. Will return before leaving Kauai.

I ordered the chicken burrito and my fiancé ordered the burrito bowl with fish. The bowl was served in one of those tiny Dixie paper bowls..for $17! He ate it all and was still hungry. My burrito had way more food than his bowl. Unfortunately their Mexican rice is really not it...the grains of rice are huge and flavorless. The only thing that saved my burrito was the shredded chicken. It was moist and flavorful, and they didn't skimp on the amount they put in the burrito which I truly appreciate since taking any bite without the meat was super bland. No seating available, this is all to go style. Parking is easy since there's a parking lot right in front. It's easy to locate and is situated next to a small grocery store. I recommend you go grab some banana bread from the grocery store for dessert, you won't regret it. All in all, I think there is better Mexican food on Kaua'i for the same price or less.

Its right off a main road and you cannot miss it. Parking lot was a bit small, but there was plenty of parking. AMBIANCE: When I went there was plenty of seating. A bit dead, but I also did go pretty early. There were a bunch of decor of older American pop culture like Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, etc. But also Hawaiian themed decor (obviously). SERVICE: You gotta walk up to the front to order. I was approached almost immediately as soon as I walked up to the menu on the screen. The girl working was super friendly and welcoming. I made my order and she gave me a pager for when my food was ready. FOOD: I ordered the chili pepper chicken, which was recommended from the girl at the counter. My friend ordered the ahi katsu. The chili pepper chicken was good! It was crispy and extremely flavorful. It was slightly too salty for my taste, but luckily the rice does help balance it out. Some of the crispness was sacrificed for the sauce, but it was overall still pretty crispy. I loved that they used boneless chicken thigh. I was expecting bones or lots of breading but it actually had a perfect ratio. I wasn't much a fan of the mac salad. It was like a mix of mac and potato salad, but more like a potato salad. I'm not big on potato salad, so that makes sense. My friend's ahi katsu was alright in my opinion. The sauce that's on it was good and enjoyed all the flavors. The tuna was just a bit overcooked to my liking, but idk how else one would make a katsu without overlooking it too much. Maybe bread the fish and freeze it before frying? Idk man, I'm not a chef lol but the tuna would definitely be better if it was less cooked. OVERALL: Honestly, I would still come here again. I still enjoyed the meal and the service was pretty quick. Both items were both worth trying. All the flavors were there and the little things I didn't like were just personal preferences. Its a great place to pick up a lunch plate and enjoy it at the beach.

Gentlemen who greeted and took our order us was pleasant. You order your food give, your name and have a seat anywhere. He gave us cups so we could go get our own drinks. I ordered TWO TACOS at $17.00 with shredded chicken wrapped in corn tortillas with coleslaw, cheese, cilantro sauce and pico de gallo. With fountain sweet peak green tea which in itself was new to me. But it was pretty refreshing. The tacos were fulfilling, even though there was only two of them, moist and tasty. My hubby ordered the chicken in A barrel plate at $20 with 1/4 piece (leg quarter) of the signature smoked chicken all plates are served with brown rice and homemade chill & are gluten/dairy free. The chicken was super moist and flavorful. Brown rice was seasoned well. The chili however, was bland. If they don't know how to do nothing else they definitely know how to smoke some chicken. That was the star of the shell although my tacos were pretty tasty as I said. He had a fountain Sprite. Free refills. I didn't get pictures of the large selection of self serve beer on tap because that's not my jam but no, that is there.
