I never made it into the dealership, however, I thought I would give everyone a head's up on their standard practice there. I was looking at a BMW they had and inquired about this. It was already priced on the highest end of only a fair rating due to chip deletions and it not having all packages available on the vehicle. The really questionable practice came when, on other sites, it was stated that the listing price included $1005 in dealer's fees. I was speaking with Isabella, who stated those were actually not included. Then, she went on to tell me that there were also two expensive and unnecessary add-ons that were "both already applied to the vehicle" that I would have had to pay for, even though they were unwanted. These were Starguard and Xpel, with Starguard costing $995, Xpel $549 and a documentation fee of $599. So, before sales tax, which I could guess would've been around $3200, I also had a mandatory extra expense totaling $2143. I'd have been expected to pay $45299 for a vehicle that should've only cost around $39799 out-the-door, at most. The tactic was then used that "someone local was coming to look at it today," although I expressed my disinterest in the overpricing, misleading inclusion of documentation fees on the third-party site and then mandatory, overpriced, unnecessary, and unwanted add-ons. I spoke with another Porsche dealership about the same type of vehicle, but a better deal, who did not add these extras on "to all of their vehicles." Alex Wiltse was our salesman and completely left out some very expensive details on the cars condition and after delivery of the car and finally getting to inspect the car in person finding the headlights were extremely pitted and had a foggy appearance when headlights are turned on at night and also a gouge in the entire barrel of the rim. This sales tactics of locking someone into a car and say it's in top notch condition is completely wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself Alex. They said the car got a 209 point inspection. Obviously brakes was not on the list cause you have to take the wheel off and that would have been seen by any competent Porsche mechanic. It's obvious there so called 209 point inspection was rushed through and not performed. Once it was brought to there attention I recieved a call from Sarah the manager at this dealership, her fix was for me to give the car back. This is the car and color we had been looking for for months so no that is not an option. When I presented to have them send out new headlights and I would pay the labor to have them professionally installed she laughed and said she woulo refund $1500 and for us to go get them sanded and polished. Every shop we went to said that these headlights can not be sanded due to the clear coat on them from Porsche. Again her option was of $1500 again is a no and haven't heard from them since. Even if this dealership has the car you want definitely look somewhere else cause once the deal is done they will not treat you with any respect once they are fully funded. I've had a very disappointing experience with this dealership. The quality of work and customer care are severely lacking. Doug in service has been dishonest, and I've experienced prices being changed from the initial estimate to the final bill. They use questionable auto glass companies and don't seem concerned whether the work is done properly. When I tried to escalate my concerns, there was no one willing to listen, and they refused to provide contact information for Porsche representatives--making it impossible to hold them accountable. Unfortunately, it feels like they care more about covering their tracks than providing the level of service expected from a Porsche dealer. read more

I have used the service department for the last three years and was surprised to find out on my last visit that they now charge 3% for all credit card payments. in addition they do not accept checks. you can pay by debit card but like many people, I do not use this method because they are unsecured transactions. This is a new policy that will get me to look for alternative services. This is an outdated practice and management should realize that it is a cost of transacting business with the general public. I hope they change this policy fast...it is just bad business practice in today's world. read more

While Grant our sales person seemed nice, it's been a 7 month process being bounced from department to department to get something as simple as our license plates delivered. Seven Months. Driving with expired plates and no tag is not something you want to get pulled over for these days. Our sales person mentioned replacing a few expensive shattered peices in interior of the vehicle we wanted (but never followed through and no responsive.) The man on the 2nd floor in charge of writing up our financing was incredibly pushy spending ungodly amounts of time trying to tack on useless thousand dollar plans after being told no. The genius in charge of registering our vehicle decided it would be fun to put it in the system as a gas hybrid when we bought and 100% EV. (Get this,) now the state requires it to get a smog test before allowing us to properly register the car. It's an EV. If you're in the business of selling cars, your staff should know the difference. The saga continues with being sold a vehicle with Multiple recalls for faulty brake lines, electric motors, and the battery possibly catching fire, so the range is very limited and it cannot be parked inside. They'd do anything to get a car off the lot it seems and then leave you hanging out to dry. Once it's not their problem, they have no reason to follow through with promises, to fix their mistakes, no manager will help you and you're on your own to try and force them to get you want you need to legally drive your vehicle. I've had better experiences at an Acura dealership. Even as an experienced car guru, I was never expecting to get blindsided like this at a Porsche dealership. Took 17 days from dropping off (which I had to schedule two plus weeks in advance) to diagnose and repair a broken water pump. This was after they had my car 2 weeks and couldn't even diagnose the problem. Little to no communication, they couldn't have cared less how awful their service is. Horrible experience this morning at this dealership. While in town we decided to stop and get some gifts for the upcoming holiday. As we entered we were told the parts department wasn't in they did not have access to anything that was not in the cases. Okay fine, we found what we were looking for and after we checked out we decided to look at the new Porsches. I own a cayenne turbo and my father in law (gift recipient) has a boxter s. Unless you are a mid 50 year old white man who drives up in a Porsche the employees will just sit in their offices and not even bother asking if you need any help. Or they will be too worried about fixing their catered lunch to see if by chance someone who wasn't wearing anything flashy and pulled up in a truck might need some assistance. I would expect this service from a Honda dealership but not a Porsche dealership. After all that is why I purchased one. Hate to say I will not be back because the Porsche dealership in Evansville is worse so now I will have to go to Indianapolis to go to the Porsche dealership. Worse car buying experience of my whole life, and since Porsche St Louis is the only Porsche dealer in St Louis I am stuck with them until I buy something else. First, they agreed to roll taxes in with the loan. They didn't do that, refused to fix it, and I had to pay many thousands of dollars 30 days after buying the car. Second, my porsche had been in an serious accident, but Porsche St Louis didn't tell me and the car fax didn't show it. Had I known, I wouldn't have bought it, or at least not paid full value. Third, they replace unnecessary parts. Because they're the only dealership within 100 miles, I'm forced to take the Porsche there for issues only the dealer can fix. But they replace parts that I didn't want replaced and charge me for the parts and labor. I've had several Porsches and I love them but this dealership is horrible. read more

Horrible Experience with this dealership. I was offended by the salesman Fred. I hadn't been treated well the first time. It was even worse today. Literally right after I said I wanted to check out the new 911 Carrera Cabrio, Fred said to me "YOU CAN'T DRIVE THAT CAR". And then he KEPT asking me "ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER A CAR TODAY". It felt like I was not even allowed to step in the dealer if I wasn't going to order a car today. He explained everything including the time I'd need to wait (only about an hour service so no need to drop off) and made a suggested service that I wasn't expecting but after his consultation I agreed it was necessary. We recently bought a 911 carrera 4S convertible from Florida and we were driving through St. Louis on our way to Minneapolis. My review is based entirely on my service experience. I was visiting St. Louis with my daughter for some tours. On the way, I noticed a bulge in my tire, never good. I called 7am on Monday morning. They had the tire in stock. The car was in by 8:30, and we were back out the door by 10a. They bent over backwards to get me in and out the door.
