The food was spectacular!! The best diner food I had in a while. Service was amazing with the amazing waitress I had. It's a great, chill spot to eat. The vibe in there is outstanding and I would definitely go there again.

What a nice little find driving on route 9W. There is plenty of parking at this cozy little diner. The interior was clean and spacious. Even though I was party of one, I was given a table instead of asked to sit at the counter, which I appreciated. The service was great. Very attentive and helpful with the menu. The food was good. I had the chicken souvlaki. Was tasty and had lots of crispy fries. All in all, very good.

(Note that they are often not open at dinner time.)…read morewe were told that the food and service were good and that they had a few unusual local ingredients incorporated into their menu. For this reason, I decided to go with an Arnold Bennet skillet that included smoked trout. If you at all like the thought of lox and eggs, then you definitely need to try this one. It also had Parmesan, chives, and crème fraiche mixed in. The taste of this combination on a piece of toast was delicious! And something I would happily enjoy again and at reasonable prices. Plus, it was enough food that I finished it for breakfast the next morning. The seating area looks and feels like a typical NY diner. Our waitress was quick and efficient and the coffee was good and fresh. Especially with the limited number of dining locations in the Catskills area, Phoenicia diner is definitely worth a stop.

This diner definitely gets packed, but thankfully, the wait usually isn't too long!…read more The milkshakes were a little disappointing--they mostly tasted like melted ice cream rather than an actual milkshake. The cinnamon roll was the same one I had back in March, but unfortunately, the texture wasn't as soft this time. It was noticeably harder, although it was still generously covered in frosting like before. The scrambled eggs were soft and cooked well, but the biscuits and gravy were pretty heavy. The potatoes, however, were amazing! They were nice and crispy, which I really enjoyed. My daughter really enjoyed her meal. She ordered the French toast, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and eggs, and she was very happy with everything. Overall, the food was a mixed experience for me, but there were definitely some highlights--especially those crispy potatoes!

The decor, from the booths to the lampshades, seem like they haven't changed in decades and are in excellent condition. The tables have tops that have obviously been replaced at some point, as they aren't the expected laminate, but otherwise it's like going back in time. We were looking for a traditional breakfast place open on a weekday (rather than a bagel shop or a place that only sells breakfast sandwiches), and this fit the bill. Service was efficient and attentive. They have a large array of menu items, but we both chose to get the breakfast burrito, without the meat. There was a bit too much potato inside for our taste, but others may prefer it that way. The side of salsa that came with it was delicious and made up for any lack of seasoning when we removed the salty meat. We would return when looking for a traditional diner with a large variety of choices.

I had the manager come over and an old lady came and I told her my pork was hard as a rock and I was showing her with the fork and she had the nerve to say "Well we have to cook it" And basically walked away! They should of 110% took it off the bill!! The one night I ordered open hot turkey sandwich and the gravy was boiling (literally) I had a burn on my finger for two weeks! It's definitely gone down hill-sad because I've been going there for many-many years!! Andy u should talk to your managers!! Not cool! First time they didn't hand us the bill- the brought it up to the register smh -

Parking is limited, but once you arrive, the property is absolutely adorable with its farm setting and beautiful flowers. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally grown ingredients, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, almost every dish we ordered was incredibly salty. I love well seasoned food, but this was just too much. They definitely need to ease up on the salt because it overpowered the fresh ingredients. I would recommend to the chef - calm down on the salt please!!! The standout dish for our group was the hot honey pizza--it was absolutely delicious and the one item I'd happily order again. One small downside that caught me off guard was the bathroom. It was so dark that it was difficult to see anything. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with great service and a charming atmosphere!

(There was an old jukebox in the lobby, though!). We had already eaten dinner but stopped in for some tea and dessert. We received a very warm welcome and great service. I got the chocolate layer cake. It was very good, not too sweet, but chocolaty enough. The only downside is that they (have to) keep these desserts in a refrigerated case and they get dried out a bit depending how long they're in there. This piece wasn't too dry. We also got a peanut butter cookie and a hot chocolate. I wanted a chocolate chip cookie but they were out. The cookie was too sweet for me. My wife said the hot chocolate was delicious. Couldn't ask for much more.
