Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. We arrived around 5:30 PM and waited nearly an hour to be seated. When we finally were, we were placed at a "couch table" where the table itself was so low that we had to completely bend over just to eat. We were also seated directly next to the DJ's speaker, making it nearly impossible to hear each other throughout the meal. The service only made things worse. Our entrees were completely forgotten, including two sushi orders. At first, we were told the sushi bar was "backed up," but we watched multiple tables that ordered after us receive several rolls while we continued waiting. Our waitress also seemed to avoid our table while we were waiting for an update. After another 25 minutes, we finally asked to cancel the sushi. The manager then came over and told us our order had actually been delivered to the wrong table. She then joked that she "hoped they were allergic to it," which was an incredibly strange and inappropriate comment to make. Nothing was offered or comped to make up for the situation, and two people in our party ultimately left without ever receiving their entrees. What should have been a simple dinner turned into a two-and-a-half-hour ordeal. Between the hour-long wait, uncomfortable seating, extremely loud music, forgotten food, lack of communication, and the way the situation was handled, we unfortunately won't be returning. read more

This restaurant was lovely! The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was amazing. Went to outdoor part of the venue and the view was amazing. Service was excellent. The food is good, the bar TVs are a plus for sports games, the nighttime dj is cool, and I love the outdoor feel above the water. 2. Entrees were brought out with the appetizers. This happened on two separate occasions with different waiters and neither offered to take the entrees back. It feels like you are being rushed so they can turn as many tables as possible. Don't love that 3. The host stand needs work. We gave up bar seats because we got a text saying the table was ready, host said that was a mistake. No table, no bar seats. That happened twice. They're busy and things happen but his non-apologetic demeanor was frustrating and felt like we were burdening him. Arrived at 7:00, which we knew would require a wait, but 1 hour became 2 hours, because they were waiting for 2 big tables to leave and wouldn't push them along. Then they neglected to tell us that they had a couple of bachelorette parties going on and started blasting the music right when we were finally seated...right in front of the speakers and we had to request to be moved. They put us as far away as possible, but the music was still too loud to even carry on a conversation. The server couldn't even hear our orders without us screaming in her face. Ordered the shrimp tacos, which came on a long narrow plate, so that any of the filling that fell out, landed on the table and was lost. For the money that we spent, I was extremely disappointed. We went back to the Port this summer after how good it was last summer. And they changed the menu. We absolutely loved the Brussels sprouts and they are no longer on the menu. They were out of the spring rolls that I really wanted to try. The whipped feta was good, I would get this again. I liked the grilled chicken sandwich but I think $22 is a bit expensive for a chicken sandwich. The grilled corn and avocado salad was okay. I think the dressing needed more flavor to it, it was dull. My sisters said the first tacos were good but better last year. My dad got a chowder and he did really like it. My dad also got the flounder sandwich and it wasn't good! The tap water literally tasted rusty, they shouldn't serve it to anyone. I had a big group so we did have a wait. So be prepared to wait. We got drinks and apps at the bar while we waited. I would go back because the vibes are good. The dj was good. But I might eat before I go. read more

I rarely leave one-star reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience. Months in advance, I planned a girls' beach day in Cape May for a group of 14 friends. Back in May, I called this restaurant to ask about making a reservation for our party. I was told they do not accept reservations for the outdoor seating area, which was exactly where we wanted to dine after spending the day at the beach. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and added our names to the waitlist. We understood that a party of 14 might require a longer wait. However, after watching group after group be seated ahead of us, we repeatedly told the hosts that we did not need to sit together. We were more than willing to split into smaller groups and take the first available tables. Despite making that clear several times, we continued to wait. During the hour and twenty minutes we stood there, we watched numerous parties of varying sizes get seated before us. Since the outdoor area doesn't accept reservations, there didn't appear to be an obvious reason why our group couldn't have been accommodated in smaller tables throughout the restaurant. No one ever proactively updated us on our wait. Every update came because someone from our group approached the host stand to ask. Finally, around 6:50 p.m., we were seated--not at regular dining tables--but on couches with coffee tables tucked away in the back. The only bright spot of the evening was our waitress. She was kind, attentive, and did an excellent job taking care of us. She deserved much better than the situation she inherited. What made this experience so painful wasn't simply the wait--it was how invisible and unimportant we were made to feel. No manager came over to apologize for the excessive delay, acknowledge our flexibility in splitting up, or explain why we couldn't have been seated much sooner. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but after everything we experienced, it was difficult not to feel that the color of our skin played a role in how we were treated. As the host of this outing, I was embarrassed that I had chosen this restaurant to end what had otherwise been a beautiful day with friends. I truly hope the restaurant reflects on how guests are treated. Every customer deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and valued regardless of race. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Cape May. I love the ambiance of the outdoor seating area. They have a nice cocktail menu and wine selection. On my most recent visit I tried the sangria, and it was delicious. The oysters were very good, as was the tomato and peach salad. I had the rainbow roll, which was good but I think I would try another type of sushi next time. The best part of the meal was the crab and lobster chowder. It was so good the notes I took just said "soup wow!" There are so many more dishes on this menu that I hope to try on my next visit! read more

There were many drink options we sampled a few different drinks all were cold and refreshing . We had the orange and grapefruit crushes which were so good . We opted for appetizers to pair with our drinks and a few meals. The whipped feta was so good. The perfect blend of creamy and savory. We also had the fish tacos which Came recommended. I have definitely had better sushi and the scallops were absolutely tasteless and so incredibly small for the astronomical price. We have been outside for drinks. Love the vibe. We have eaten upstairs multiple times. Our server, somehow, is always Lauren and we are always at the same two tables. No complaints there! Lauren is attentive and friendly and everything you'd want in a server for a fun night out. We love the cocktails, the sushi, the lobster ravioli with the edamame whip- so, so good! We've been on date nights, with friends, and with our daughters for sushi night. Always leave happy, full, and excited to go again. The desserts are delicious. Is it cheap? Nope- but it's worth it and it's lovely. You can't beat the views! If you're local, sushi night Mondays in the off season are clutch! Get some sushi, a side of fried rice and a side of noodles and you're golden. For having such an amazing experience the first time, we had a pretty awful experience the second visit only a few weeks later. I learned that you should come to Port Marina for lunch or when it is not as busy. We knew there would be a long wait and didn't even mind the 90 minutes since my husband and I planned to sit and enjoy being outside with a cocktail. Unfortunately when we finally sat, the food portions were significantly smaller than our previous visit, the service was extremely slow and the restaurant seemed dirty. There was unfortunately fecal matter all over the floor of the bathroom. When I reported this to the staff, it still hadn't been cleaned after 30 minutes when I returned. The line for the bathroom was also 15 minutes long. I won't be returned for dinner on a busy evening. read more

Port Marina was nice. The ambiance is all about the vibes. The wait was about 40 minutes but we arrived around 5:20 on a Sunday. In town for vacation and celebrating our anniversary. We sat outside and got a nice seat by the water. Sometimes when you dine with a toddler, restaurants will put you in a back corner tucked away, but that wasn't the case here. Ordered wine and my husband had a cocktail. Drinks were delicious. We ordered their crab cakes as an appetizer, they were good, even my toddler loved them. Husband ordered fish & chips and i ordered a lobster roll. Everything was good. Our waiter was attentive. I took off 2 stars because the outdoor bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. There was tissue paper all over the stall floors. The trash bin was overflowing and there was no soap. No soap!! I'm not sure of the bathroom conditions for those dining inside but this is unacceptable. I hope the workers have soap wherever they use the bathroom. Management, please, make this a priority! More effort should be made to clean the bathrooms and replenish soap and tissue paper. Thankfully, this was after we had already dined and I was grateful I had hand sanitizer in my car. read more

The vibes were good and for the first 5 minutes were enjoyable but it all went downhill from there. They seated the us in the wrong spot multiple times and took 20 minutes of waiting before we had a table settled. The staff was split half and half some nice some terrible. By time we got our food they got multiple orders wrong and then made slick comments when handing our new correct food back to us. The place also has no air conditioning or fans outside at all. The food wasn't bad though but it was the amount of times we were missing drinks to the sweat dripping down my head. I'm not one to complain but this is really bad. read more
