A great spot to grab some coffee and breakfast. It's made out of shipping containers which I think is pretty awesome. I got the grits for breakfast and they were creamy and savory. You also got a huge portion which made me pretty happy. The food menu is somewhat limited and only has four or five items. The drink menu is more robust and has not only coffee/tea drinks but also has alcoholic beverages. This coffee shop is in a black shipping container in RiNo. It is fairly small in space and gets packed easily, so it might be difficult to work. However, they have outdoor seating and benches so it's easier to find a space to socialize. I ordered the avocado toast, which comes with sliced radishes on a slice of French bread, and an iced coffee. The avocado toast had mixed textures, complimentary flavors, was filling, and delicious. The iced coffee came in a cute glass that was a reasonable portion. My only complaint is the drip coffee. The mug that it comes in was too small, and wish it came in a bigger mug or cup. Oh hey, Port Side! You are truly hipster perfection in the best of ways. Trendy AF, but in a cozy and inviting way. Staff is friendly, efficient, and makes great recommendations. I'm oh so glad that the girl behind the counter suggested I get the White Russian with house-made kahlua. That was the tastiest, smoothest brunch cocktail imaginable. My friend also super enjoyed her coffee drink that came out looking like a work of art. You know what else was artfully created? Both of our breakfast sammies. Each had the fluffiest and most perfect egg and the softest bread. The pulled pork on my Duke sandwich was so juicy and tasty. The other components were perfect- the arugula and pickles did not overpower as they sometimes tend to. My friend had the U.T. and I stole a bite- yum! Amazing food! I got the pork burrito and a lavender latte. The burrito is a great size, they don't give you too much but it'll definitely fill you up. Very flavorful! Very accommodating, friendly staff that makes such legit coffee that my coffee snob boyfriend was bedridden and his one request was coffee from Port Side. Their kale smoothie is super yummy and cleans out your tummy (be sure to be near a bathroom for the next couple hours following consumption), and their rice bowl is a mellow spice that even the weakest can stomach (I'm huge weak sauce typically, and I barely had a runny nose after eating their rice bowl). You'll drool over how generous the avocado is in their avocado toast. Free wifi and great spot to do work indoor or outdoors. If you get food to go they use compostable containers. A coffee shop in a shipping container in the heart of Denver's RiNo arts district--does it get any cooler than that? (Nope.) Formerly Huckleberry, Port Side changed its name and added some awesome menu items (read: booze) last year. I love this place and suggest this place often for meetings--it's in RiNo but near downtown and Five Points, making it a super convenient place to meet. Coffee/food wise, Port Side nails it. In addition to awesome local coffee, they have a menu with lots of tasty, healthy options (very vegan and gluten free friendly, too!). I've tried the avocado toast with radishes and togarashi, which was a perfect lunch when paired with an almond milk latte. They also have an assortment of pastries--I've tried their coconut ball and would definitely recommend it for a sweet, healthy-ish snack. Their boozy options are limited, but they cover their bases--Infinite Monkey Theorem wine, a rotating beer list, bloody marys and log cabins if you're looking for something a little harder. Since this is a shipping container, the space can be a little tight (although I'm pretty impressed with how they've arranged everything. I suggest coming here alone or with one other person--more than that, and you might have to wait for a place to sit. They do have wifi and I've worked here before. My only complaint is how early Port Side closes. They're currently under winter hours, which means they close their doors at 5 pm on weekdays and 3 pm on weekends. While I love me a glass of wine, I'm rarely drinking one before 5 pm. I would totally come here for happy hour or beyond if they were open, though! read more

Used the passport program today at Port Side, which gave me access to a BOGO espresso or cortado. Opted for the cortado since it's either that or an iced coffee that I usually order. The cortado was a bit on the bitter side which was disappointing, considering they're using huckleberry roasters' beans. I think it was the barista, since I've never had a butter cup of coffee at Huckleberry and have 3lbs of beans sitting in my cabinet right now. Anyhoo, I gave them 4 stars because I think there's potential there and because the shop used to BE Huckleberry Roasters. I recommend timing it right because it's pretty tiny inside with only a small amount of seating. So worth it though. The food was really tasty and don't forget the brunch cocktails (which were pretty cheap, around $6 each). I had the avocado toast which was topped with radishes and yummy spices. The Duke, topped with pulled pork, is also an AM flavor bomb. Friends love the avocado toast. It's certainly Instagram-worthy. Cortados are good, but so is a simple cup of brewed coffee. I was really impressed by the flavorful menu at Port Side. I feel like their menu is powerfood - meant to fill you up while tasting great at the same time! The chef was super helpful in customizing my salad to meet my paleo diet. Everyone was so dang nice! I saw someone else get the avocado toast and it looked amazing!! I had the Market Salad and it didn't seem like much at first but it totally filled me up and tasted amazing! The tahini sauce they use is incredible. They also have a great variety of coffeEs, lattes, etc. I didn't order one but I saw the baristas working their magic with ultimate care for every cup. This is in an area called 5 points Denver. I was in the area checking out a cool spot behind the Lustre Pearl bar. If you are into graffiti art the whole alley way has been spray painted into fun designs. I happen to see Port Side and thought I would come here after lunch for a coffee. I talked with the lady that worked here and she gave me the low down on the vegan food scene in Denver. In fact I was lucky in that they were having a vegan luau pop up the weekend I was there so got to come back and try that out. Basically the menu is very limited to basically 7 items and 2 of those are vegan. The vegan items are the avocado toast and the one Kale blueberry banana smoothie . They also have little coconut balls to go with your coffee. It's a small little spot with limited tables both inside and outside. The coffee drinks were good. I tried out the almond milk latte and I got one of the coconut balls to try. I enjoyed both and enjoyed sitting outside. The only issue is if you don't like being asked for money on the street you might not want to sit outside. I was approached probably 4 times in 30 minutes time. Normally I don't encounter that in California but Denver seems to have quite a few encampments and they are all trying to survive I guess. Other than that I liked the nice vibe of this place and it seems to draw a lot of the community together like I saw at the vegan luau. It's in a fun part of town so I recommend checking out this part of town. read more

Port Side used to be Huckleberry (I loved the previous name!!). The great thing about this place is coffee! They make a really good regular brewed coffee as well as spectacular lattes! I have. I have been to Port Side several times. It's a cool vibe but it's not a coffee shop where you want to stay and work - not enough space. The bench sitting is very uncomfortable - put some pillows there, it will make the experience way better!!! My friend tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was incredible- for such small space & kitchen they do a phenomenal job! I have not alway been a big fan of the service there but I guess it really depends on the person's day. I wish people working there were a bit "warmer" - but I have a lot of compassion for people working in such small coffee shops. The patio is cool & the location is the bomb! For anyone who is a visitor this is an excellent coffee shop to visit! read more

I ordered the Plain Jane and almost immediately regretted the decision. After all, how good can a egg sandwich with just cheese be? Really good, is the answer. The bread, the perfectly seasoned egg, the cheddar.. all top notch. I scarfed down the sandwich and had an equally enjoyable date/almond ball and vanilla latte. I'm a big fan of Port Side...basically the Huckleberry that was here before (which already had great coffee) added a small food menu and is called Port Side now. So the coffee aspect is relatively unchanged, but now we have another great, easy breakfast option for when the lines at Crema are obnoxious. They have booze drinks now too, but I have yet to try them. They really upped the breakfast sandwich game in Denver for sure. If I'm bringing a sandwich to work, I go for the plain Jane (egg and cheese on a tasty bun) so as not to offend my coworkers with too many breakfast-time odors. But if I'm eating in, I go for the UT. It's an egg sandwich with kale kimchi, sesame soy slaw, and sriracha mayo. If you need to sweat out a hangover (or just like interesting flavors with your eggs) it's perfect. I'm also glad that they still make the same well-crafted drinks using Huckleberry beans that I've come to love. The cappuccino (about 6ish ounces) is my ideal milk to espresso ratio. Sometimes, if you hit Port Side at just the right time, there'll be a pan of warm cinnamon rolls on the counter. If you encounter these tasty rare buns before work, you know it'll be a good day. read more
