Amazing customer service - I had to order a container in a hurry, and was able to secure next day delivery with the help of the lovely agent that I spoke to. No delivery or pick up fee, and they offered the lowest monthly rentals I could find. Delivery guy was wonderful - I needed the container in a very awkward place on a rough, burned-out lot, and he helped me clear the way for his truck and he put the container in the perfect spot. I needed a pod quickly & knew about the other 2 places that rented pods so called & got quotes. Boy, talk about ridiculously expensive! My mom found this place on-line & so grateful she did! From the moment I called they were helpful & accommodating but the even better part is they were only 1/4 of what the other 2 places charge PLUS they don't charge for delivery or pick-up! EVERYONE I dealt with was so nice & professional. Even the driver was fantastic - the pod wasn't going into an easy spot but their driver got it backed in there & did it perfectly! I felt compelled to go out of my way to write a review of this business. They were professional, punctual and always very pleasant to deal with. Informing me as they were on their way with reminder calls. The price you can't beat. We used for remodel. But this detail blew my mind. They accidentally cracked a tile on my driveway which is easy to do given the location the bin was set to be put. I didn't even get a chance to call them to let them know. I came home to a work truck with two guys fixing my tile. Crazy thing is that our tile is nowhere to be found as they don't make it anymore! It's hacienda tile from Mexico. Arturo who works for Porta Stor is such a stand up guy that he called in a friend who happened to have this tile at his house stored fir 10 years... I was blown away! He even swept my leaves left from the storage container while his guy recemented new tiles. It's rare to have such incredible service and honorability like this in a business. Our church, in Simi Valley, needed to buy a used 40 foot container. Their prices were as good as anyone's and they delivered free. I went to their yard out on the backside of Ventura and picked one out. Before they delivered it they called me and said they had a better one that they were picking up in San Pedro. If I wanted it they could bring it straight from SP to Simi for the same price as the one I had picked out. They sent me pictures from SP and it was in great shape. We are very happy with Porta-Stor and will work with them again if need be. read more

My experience (so far, they only dropped off. Still need to move it and pick it up, I will update if my opinion changes.) I have to say I was a little concerned because they were so inexpensive. But so far, wow, they have been fantastic. Everybody has been super friendly and helpful. Paula who took the reservation was super friendly, even though I called three different times with a lot of questions. I also spoke to Wendy and she was very nice and helpful. And lastly, Matt the gentleman who dropped off the container could not have been nicer and more helpful. He really rocked. I was very worried about my driveway and he was so careful and thoughtful of my property, it was very refreshing to have someone who actually cared. I have nothing bad to say. Highly recommend Porta-Stor to anyone looking for storage containers

Our non-profit has been using Porta-Stor as our storage bin provider for a few years now. Their prices are reasonable. Recently, we decided to add another storage bin to our site. As much as I would love to give them 5-stars, their customer service needs much improvement. The couple of times I spoke with staff over the phone, I felt rushed and it did not fail for staff to be unhelpful with short vague answers. One would think, since we are paying a pretty penny for the bin, we can at the very minimum be provide with basic good customer service... that did not happen. I am disappointed. read more

I have yet to actually get a storage unit delivered but just the actual major difference I found from just calling to get information has impressed me so much I felt that alone deserved the attention and I have decided to use this company for my storage needs.The first big difference was the price in comparison to EVERY other company was more than 75% less and for twice as long on the rental (2 months).There was no extra fee for delivery and pickup they had sizes larger than 16 feet in fact they went to 20 and 26 feet. I had spent a whole day shopping all the other well known companies and was discouraged by the expense. Not one place had a quote under $750 for a smaller size on a one month rental with one relocate trip (2/3 of that was just to move the container). Porta-stor only added $50 to relocate which still added up to about the same as renting a Uhaul for two days (with miles and gas )They even made the effort to get it delivered today even though I was fine if it took a couple of days. I Am extremely hopeful the actual service will be just as positive. I will edit and add the outcome. But just on first look A+++ read more
