To hire a boiler companies to come out and replace pipes is insanely expensive, and not really worth it if they are not working on the boiler itself. (I don't think the pipe cares who replaces it)! That part out of the way, after having major disasters in the past, and calling some local boiler companies (who I won't name), I tried Preferred plumbing last year and again this morn. They came out and fixed it before there was any damage. Unlike the boiler company who was scheduled out for weeks and let me stew in my own live steam. Matt, and Brett, and Cooper are the best! Great guys - they know what they're doing, and they don't waste your time. They're so personable, I probably wasted THEIR time talking to them too much! I'm so satisfied that I have decided to finally replace the waterline in my house sometime in the next few months, using Preferred Plumbing, because I completely trust them now. Not only were they quick to respond, they did great work, they did it well, and as usual, they came in at a very reasonable price. I grew up in Michigan, but I've only been back here since 2015, and you know how hard it is to find professionals that you can trust in a new town. After spending two days of the holiday weekend…read moredealing with water leaking into our bathroom and then having to shut our water off and not having water for a large portion of the weekend, we struggled finding a plumber who was available to come and help us fix our problem. We called six plumbers and left messages and Lakeshore was the only company who was kind enough to actually call us back. Even though Lakeshore did not have emergency or holiday hours, they still called to let us know that they would put us on the schedule for first thing Tuesday morning, which was very kind of them because the uncertainty of not knowing was just as painful as the water that was flowing down our walls. They also told us that we should probably just turn our water back on when we needed it because our wall was going to need to be cut open anyhow. Lakeshore, as promised appeared on Tuesday morning and diagnosed the problem (which was unfortunately not a plumbing issue). The young man was polite and professional and timely. He called before he arrived and explained exactly what the problem could be. He took photos of the damage and suggested if the leak starts again to call them back. Really there was nothing anyone could do, but he was very nice about the whole debacle. We need to have three water shut off valves repaired because we discovered they no longer turn properly when we tried to turn the water off at the main and we will be calling Lakeshore back to fix them. Plumbers are expensive and fast polite service makes hiring one so much less stressful.

Every time they schedule us they go to the vendor only to find that the heater is "not is stock." Memorial Day, 9:30 AM. Hubby finds we have a leak in our plumbing, it has been leaking for…read moreprobably a day. My husband shuts off the water. I proceeded looking for plumbers. I called our son in law to see if he knew of one, "DC Plumbing, they're real good!" I called and sent an email. Panicking, I looked for more emergency service plumbers. I called a total of 5, one actually answered the phone. I received a quote,, it was 10:45 now and I was quoted late afternoon early evening. I said I would call them back if I had no luck finding someone else. I checked my email and there was a response from DC Plumbing. The owner was very apologetic that he couldn't get out to our home that day, but he could come first thing the next day. At that point, it was good enough, so we waited. I am so glad we did. We saved money by not using an emergency service, and his workers were here right when he said they would be. They were in and out in roughly 10 minutes and did a wonderful job. The owner was extremely thorough, I sent pictures of the leak to help (as asked). Promptness responding as well as service by great employees! Hard to find these days for sure. I have already sent their information to a few friends. I wouldn't call anyone else. By the way, the other 24 hour service plumbers, never responded back until the next morning, except for one, I never heard from them.
