The service people are professional, timely and pricing is more that reasonable. My furnace was only 9 years old (that DeHaan installed) with a 10 yr warrenty. After several attempts to "fix" it, the conculsion was to install a new furnace vs a band aid as there was no way of knowing how long the band aid would hold. Obtaining the new furnace, installing, pricing and professionalism of all involved is beyond compare. I was given another 10 year warrenty to boot and remember to turn in a form to get the $200 rebate from consumers energy. Above all, the installers left the basement clean and just as they found it when they enterd my home. To hire a boiler companies to come out and replace pipes is insanely expensive, and not really worth it if they are not working on the boiler itself. (I don't think the pipe cares who replaces it)! That part out of the way, after having major disasters in the past, and calling some local boiler companies (who I won't name), I tried Preferred plumbing last year and again this morn. They came out and fixed it before there was any damage. Unlike the boiler company who was scheduled out for weeks and let me stew in my own live steam. Matt, and Brett, and Cooper are the best! Great guys - they know what they're doing, and they don't waste your time. They're so personable, I probably wasted THEIR time talking to them too much! I'm so satisfied that I have decided to finally replace the waterline in my house sometime in the next few months, using Preferred Plumbing, because I completely trust them now. Not only were they quick to respond, they did great work, they did it well, and as usual, they came in at a very reasonable price. I grew up in Michigan, but I've only been back here since 2015, and you know how hard it is to find professionals that you can trust in a new town. I totally trust Matt and his crew, and I would suggest that if you have any plumbing/heating needs you give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

The initial setup seemed competent, yet persistent issues soon surfaced, requiring four repair visits where each "fix" only spawned new problems--like refrigerant leaks, coil malfunctions, and evaporator failures not covered by their warranty. For instance, they charged $1,000 to repair an evaporator leak, only to insist two months later that the entire unit needed replacement at another $2,000--all while billing me for refrigerant refills every time. To make matters worse, their administrative handler was consistently rude, dismissive, and lacking in empathy, turning every interaction into an unnecessary burden. In conclusion, finding reliable HVAC services these days feels nearly impossible--true craftsmanship just isn't what it used to be. That said, the customer service at Nieboer is exceptionally poor, miserable rather; even the simplest conversations with their employees fall well short of basic cognitive function. unfortunately adding insult to injury.

Now that they have been caught ripping her off and "will return all her money" they still have not done so. If you really don't do this on the regular I would have thought that you would have brought my 75 year old mother's money with you when you came back the next day to evaluate if Consumers got it right or your tech did! Just saying if you were truly worried and sorry for the "misunderstanding " that's what you should have done, instead my mom still can't pay her bills! Update: I was contacted by Suburban 1st thing this morning. There was a misunderstanding when I…read morecalled over the weekend. A tech was sent out and the issue was resolved all under warranty. Very prompt. Suburban replaced my very old furnace and A/C Aug 2020. Everything went well. Fast forward to Oct 2021. Chilly cool day turned on the furnace to take the chill off. Imagine my surprise when the furnace wouldn't fire up. Contacted Suburban since I'd only used this system one time and felt they should come fix it. I was told there was no longer a warranty to cover labor and they want to charge me 69 to come look at it and then 145 an hour to fix the problem. I was in shock. Needless to say I told them where they could shove their labor charges and will be shopping around to get fair fee. Stay away from this company they don't stand behind their work. I really wish I had went with a different company.

I have spent thousands of dollars with climate guys expecting my mini split issues to be resolved, but unfortunately, they seem to lack the experience needed to fix them. Despite multiple visits and a significant investment to route the condensation outside the house, I'm left with the same issue I started with and had to pay someone else to come out and resolve it. This is after having the owner out. What's most frustrating is that most recently the mini split continued to leak after they routed it outside so they came back out and told me it was dirty. They "cleaned it" by spraying some cleaner on it, pouring my vinegar on it and blowing air through the line with his mouth. Then charged me $375 for a cleaning and trip fee. I of course complained about the charge given the ridiculous effort and the fact that it absolutely did not fix the issue. The owner came out, told me he didn't know what the issue was and that he would call Fujitsu on my behalf. Well that never happened. So....I called someone else who adjusted and leveled the unit and guess what? Climate guys installed it wrong. I attached a pic of the mess they left outside-filling a gap with spray foam. Instead of solutions, I've gotten excuses and recommendations for more costly work, without results. For the amount of money I paid climate guys over the last year, I expected not only competent service but also honesty and follow-through. I should have known when every single time (and there were lots of home visits, lots...) that they tried to sell me a maintenance program. So I said fine, let's do it. And they never followed through. I cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable mini split repairs. If you're considering them, I strongly suggest doing thorough research first or exploring other providers who will actually stand behind their work.

Especially through the winter. I replaced the control module in hopes it would fix, but still no water flow. After countless manual pumps of a spray bottle to the new filter, I called Hometown and Tim answered right away. Corresponding conveniently through text from there on, he came out to do an assessment and provided a very reasonable quote for a faulty valve, which also happens to be out of code and should never have been used for the purpose. He was able to come out again same day, but I was unavailable, so he came again the very next morning and cut and replaced the piping within 10 minutes, showing me what was done and I am thrilled that the water is now flowing seamlessly. A musician himself, we shared some good chatter about shared interests. All in all, great friendly guy who identified the issue and got the problem fixed quickly. What's not to love about that?
