Fabulous find!! A fabulous Ribeye steak, cooked a perfect medium-rare. There was a larger than expected selection of wines. After a long day on the road, this was a treat!! Shame on Hampton Inn for again trying to send its go the worst Mexican restaurant for a margarita that tasted like the dishwasher made it the night we were there. Another wonderful dinner at a Manning's finest, Porter Jack's. Perfect attentive from young Ethan. His training quite evident. And the food was amazing. One had a large dinner salad, one had country style steak that looked scrumptious, one had 8 Oz ribeye with grilled shrimp and I had 12 Oz ribeye cooked perfectly. It's getting a second round this morning as steak and eggs. We even had live music by young Matthew Varn. It was a great night! Give it a try ... I promise you won't be disappointed!!!! I had the ribeye steak and it was fantastic, so tender and delicious. The house salad was also very good, it had good dressing to salad ratio and toppings were exactly what you would expect from a steakhouse salad. I got the deviled eggs for a side and they were ok nothing spectacular but I enjoyed them. read more

First timer here. Waited 30 Munford a burger to be made. Asked for no onions and got onions on burger. Noticed that not one server would help each other. No TEAM work. Plus the restaurant was not even busy. If you're on a tight schedule. Skip this restaurant for another one. read more

I've been here many times and have to say that the food is the best of any restaurant in Manning. Unfortunately the parking lot is terrible. But that could be overlooked. What can't be is the obnoxious homeless who antagonize customers coming and going. The owner needs to make a personal and business decision on what's more important. Great food and service but very disappointed that the prices for the beers and kids menu's weren't accurate. The response to it is we are getting new menus in the next week well that doesn't help today. Its sad as we were recommended to this place from our timeshare but will be glad to let them know so it doesn't happen to someone else. read more

If I could give this no stars, I would. I used to love porter jacks but for the past few times I've been... the service has been horrible. After waiting forever, getting Mac n cheese with hair in it, and forgetting cheese and bacon on my food, I'll never be back. Also let me add that there was literally no one else there. Came with family on Thursday 12/29. Waited for maybe 15 minutes as they were fairly crowded. Nice quaint looking place, a little old fashioned and rustic, which is appealing if you like the vintage look. Food was really good, shrimp and grits delicious, steak cooked perfectly, and the Carolina Spud was different but the pulled pork BBQ on top made it a really great meal. read more

Delicious! Met my family from out of town on a whim and stopped here. I ordered a second helping of fried green tomatoes at the end of the meal because they were so good. Needs new management. Waitress apparently has not been trained properly. 8 people at our table. Food came out at different times. Orders were wrong. Some of us didn't get all of our food. I had The Salmon... over cooked. Everyones steaks were terrible. The kitchen was so unorganized. People who came in after we had 3 plates( and not all the sides) had gotten their food. It took them a full hour to get our sides and the waitress had to keep asking what was missing. Read the ticket. Food is dependable for type (sandwiches, fried fish and chicken but all in all real simple). Servers are great! My real complaint is the prices seem to change every time we go in. Especially wine...doubled from beginning of July to the end of July. I get it that inflation has hit us all BUT to double in price in less then 30 days without telling your regular customers is just too much. read more

Traveling in the country it can be difficult to find decent food but a local resident recommended that we try this little restaurant and I'm glad we did. A charming little country place which was surprisingly nicer than you would expect in rural South Carolina. They even had a full bar and some wine selections. I was about to give them a three star for not wanting to give up the Wi-Fi code but the server brought it to us. It's 2019... Wi-Fi is essential. The food here was very good. Their crab cakes are extremely popular. I had the crab soup and after adding a dash of salt it was really quite good. My friend had the grouper sandwich with onion rings and both were delicious. The place was clean and fairly priced. The server and bartender were nice. And of course being in the south they had fantastic iced tea. Wife and I stopped for lunch while traveling. Parking area was a little rough. We waited several minutes to be seated at about 12:15 pm. There was no one to greet us at the door, and there were at least 2 signs asking us to wait to be seated. There were quite a few empty tables. Ambiance/decor is sort of rustic, yet classy. Our server was quite busy but got to us in reasonable time. She was very friendly, but stretched to keep up. Wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries. She was quite happy with her sandwich and it looked to have a good amount of pork in it. The catfish stew appealed to me, so I ordered it over grits. It came over rice instead, which was the other option that I seriously considered, so by itself not a big deal. I did not complain. However, what they called stew in no way matches my definition of a stew. The catfish appears to have been breaded and fried before being broken into bite-sized pieces and dumped into a zesty tomato-based sauce. That was the "stew". If there was 4 oz of protein I would be surprised. But the portion of sauce-covered rice was generous and I was unable to finish. read more

while on a road trip needed somewhere to eat. from the outside it doesn't seem like much but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. the steak was perfectly done and the pecan praline cake really sold me, never had a cake so moist and so extremely delicious in my whole life. had to ask the waitress if they had a recipe. read more

An absolute gem hiding in Manning. I am originally from Charleston SC and have lived up this way for about 1 1/2 years. Today is the first time I have eaten here and I swear it is the best place around. Don't let the store front fool you. I expected a glorified Waffle House. A coworker and I were in town for work and found this local spot with great reviews on Yelp. So glad we tried it out! We walked in and were immediately seated. The ambience was beautiful - homey, farmhouse feel with mismatched tables and a nicely decorated Christmas tree. I ordered the butterfly shrimp and they were some of the most flavorful shrimp I've ever had. No dipping sauces needed (and I'm usually all about the sauce). I asked the waitress for a side recommendation and she said the mac and cheese was her favorite. It may be my favorite now too! My coworker ordered the Palmetto chicken and loved his dish. It was smothered in pimento cheese and while I didn't try it, it looked delicious as well! If you're in town, this local spot is a definite must try! read more
