If you have chronic illness like myself then this is the last pharmacy you should use. For the second time in 6 months they have let me run out of my medications. They promised me my meds on Friday and again today and never delivered. They have more internal problems then they have pills. This morning i spoke with Soco and she promised I would get them today. I never received them and it's 8pm, I just called and got there voice mail, they are closed. Yesterday I ran out of all 10 medicines I take. How can this happen? This is Totally unprofessional and tomorrow will be three days that I'm out of my meds. Tomorrow I will call the pharmaceutical board to file a complain. This pharmacy is fantastic, they are on it: friendly and super helpful. I had my prescription called into various pharmacies in the area and they claimed they never received my prescription, but Porter Ranch Pharmacy got all my prescriptions. Nick (who helped me) said one of my orders went to another pharmacy and asked if I wanted him to call them to transfer it to their location. I've never had a pharmacy that had such great and personal service as this. I wish there was a pharmacy like this in the Bay Area. These folks are highly recommended. This pharmacy is ok when you see a doctor in this building and don't feel well enough to go to another place to fill a prescription. What they don't tell you is that they give your phone number and prescription information to a company who will cold call you to discuss your prescriptions with you for "clinical intervention ". They will also automatically refill a prescription without you asking, bill your insurance company and cause delay in filling a prescription at your pharmacy of choice. I rarely give low grade 1 star reviews, since I'm always optimistic by nature. From my profile history, I tend to give high rating reviews for the majority of businesses I visit. But the AWFUL service I endured, as the pharmacy clerks had input my INCORRECT Rx medical record # for my Rx and then, told me my insurance was invalid. I have been 100% paying my insurance premiums and I had to argue with the staff numerously! I contacted my insurance inside the pharmacy, after being placed on hold for 55 minutes, and asked the pharmacist clerks to assist in contacting my insurance, since it was the pharmacist whom told me the contradicting news about my coverage. They declined to assist me in calling my insurance. I had to get the pharmacy manager involved. Such HORRIBLE service, unbelievable! After 55 minutes holding, with much frustration and aggravation - my insurance confirmed my insurance was indeed covered and valid. The pharmacy clerk erroneously entered my medical record #, not my Rx medical # for my Rx. They need to properly train their employees. The clerks are extremely lazy and INCOMPETENT!!!!! Will NEVER EVER use them again. Look at all the pattern of negative 1 STAR ratings, they need to re-evaluate. read more

BEST PHARMACY HANDS DOWN!!! Forget ever going to a CVS or Walgreens ever again cause these people care. My newborn son had just had his circumcision and the Dr. recommended a particular type of lotion to use after the antibacterial ointment they gave us to use first. I couldn't remember the name, and the guy behind the counter came out around and asked me if I needed help, normally I say no proudly and manly lol but I told this guy what I needed and why and he immediately knew what to get for me. Customer service has gone downhill. Kristine was wonderful and helpful,unfortunately, There is one girl who works the front counter who is rude and unprofessional. The times I have gone there to pick up my prescription drugs,she didn't appear to know what she was doing, she easily got flustered and impatient and was taking it out on me,the customer! This review is long overdue but my positive experience has to be shared. A couple months ago I found this local gem while trying to find a pharmacy that had my medication in stock. The usual big chain pharmacy that I used to go to told me they would no longer order my medication even if I placed a special order because they were too busy! Imagine that. So needing to get a prescription refill I had to call around myself but I'm so glad that I took the time to do it. I found this family owned pharmacy and they were incredibly kind and helpful. The pharmacy was actually closed for the 4th of July holiday and Philip, the owner, actually offered to bring the medications to our house. Please read. I think this is the second time I've ever written anything on yelp however this company definitely needs to be praise for the way this business is run. Unfortunately I suffer from a lot of disabilities I don't have a lot of help and so I require maybe a little more attention than most. I was with CVS for many years who judged me like they knew me question my doctors as if they were doctors themselves it's gotten to the point that we pay the price for choices that others make and while that's a sad situation it should have nothing to do with anybody else or what kind of medication they take. When I heard of Porter Ranch Pharmacy being a family run pharmacy I couldn't get there fast enough it's kind of like going to that old mom and Pop coffee shop they treat you like you're human they bend over backwards for you they are just as worried of getting you the medication as you are in needing it and a lot of places like this just don't get enough credit. Phil the owner is the most compassionate caring person I've come in contact with in the medical world in a long time and I just wanted to share this with all of you who are out there fighting to get your medication but maybe just maybe give them a try. While all their staff is very friendly and professional I've taken a liking with Kevin he's so patient so helpful so understanding Does what he says And that's hard to find these days. So if you're just looking to be treated like a human being again and not like your just a number give them a call they only need that first call and they will truly do the rest. This is by far the best pharmacy I have ever been to. The level of customer service is outstanding. From the first phone call to the consultation they go above and beyond in meeting the needs of their customers. This place is the ONLY place I will have my prescriptions filled. In addition, they do compounding. My wife needed some medication compounded on a Saturday. She was in a lot of pain and need a special mouth solution. The girl who took the call said they don't usually do the compounding on Saturday, but said given the situation will try to get it done, or find someone who could. Amazing, right...it get's better. She contacted Phillip (the owner) at home and they were able to fill the prescription. Wow!! I was completely blown away by their extra mile attitude! Phillip takes the time to explain things very thoroughly, and cares about making his customers feel very taken care of. He is very good at what he does. Everyone I came into contact with has nothing but customer satisfaction on their mind and it is very apparent in the way they run this business. This is the way customer service used to be...All this and they manage to be quite reasonably priced as well!! We just switched today and already I am more than impressed with the quality of care and service they provide at Porter Ranch Pharmacy. We bounced from Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS and all were worse than one another. My dad sees Dr. Kranzpillar the Porter Ranch Medical which is in the same bldg and so we decided to give it a try and switch over. I called and did a transfer which was very easy and also very easy to speak to a actual person. For us the biggest service they provide is the car delivery system. No more waiting in line or waiting for prescription to be filled even though you requested it a week ago (cvs). We are expecting our first delivery on Monday. They have a cc on file and it can't be any easier than this! One the things that was awful about ordering refills at CVS was their awful website. At Porter Ranch Pharmacy they have an online request form which is very easy. Enter your info, the prescription name you want refilled, and check off how you want it delivered (delivery, pick up, or by mail) Love the simplicity that I can even have my dad submit the request for his refill from now on. With CVS, the website was so bloated with crap that even I had a hard to requesting the refills. We are so happy and just regreful that we didn't switch earlier. Love supporting local business too. I hope they don't get too big but until then we are a happy customer. Oh and they even ask you if you want "child proof" or "easy cap" option for your pill bottle! WOW. That is terrific service!!! The people here are a refreshing change from most everyone else in the health-care world where you are typically treated with rudeness. They have gone out of their way to help make sure I got my meds in a timely manner and at affordable prices when insurance didn't kick in. I used to be a fan of this pharmacy but in the past year or so their service has gone to NO star. very rude staff in person and over the phone. no medications in stock and multiple errors in getting refills such we did not put the order or the order has not arrived. No courtesy calls when prescriptions arrived after a week of waiting. This happens all the time. I have switched pharmacy for their lack of professionalism. Hire new staff if you want to stay in business longer! read more

Firstly, they care to know us personally and are always willing to go the extra mile to help out. Next is personal care that we were never shown at the big chain pharmacies where we were just RX # - if even that!! They care enough to know the little details about the individual prescriptions and are willing to go out of the way to find a brand when it becomes unavailable instead of just filling the next best. My aunts pharmacy advised me they were unable to deliver her urgently needed medicines on time, so they contracted porter ranch pharmacy to do it for them. I was advised I would have her medication by 4pm. It is now 1030 pm and I just got off the phone with the on call pharmacist who said they are dispatching a driver now and it would take up to 2 hours!!!! Thats at MIDNIGHT! Apparently they had to speak to me about a $3.00 co pay and that's why they didn't deliver, I have NO missed calls or voice mails from them regarding their beloved $3.00 ... I would have gladly paid that when they got here. ..but instead they decide not to deliver or tell me it's not going out. So now, she missed her full day of meds (which could cause a medical emergency again, as she was prescribed the meds from her visit to the ER) and I need to wait until MIDNIGHT to get them...all over $3.00 that could have been paid earlier if they just came. Now they are saying there will be no charge...oh thanks....now the 3.00 doesn't matter? When I go off on them and I'm beyond peeved... Unprofessional and unacceptable!
