Dr. Pham is very professional and knowledgeable. The evaluation was thoroughly done. She was honest in her assessment. She tell it like it is. Thank you Dr. Pham. Office visit cost has increased quite a bit from a few years ago and that's okay. I look forward to good results in the months to come.

Unfortunately, my previous dermatologist did not accept the new insurance. I found Sand Dermatology on Yelp and read through the reviews before deciding to call and schedule an appointment. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The office was bright and modern, the waiting room was spacious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. After being shown to the examination room, I waited only a short time before Dr. Pham came in. She introduced herself and asked how she could help me. I explained my concerns, and she performed a thorough upper-body skin examination. Dr. Pham not only addressed all of my concerns, but she also noticed a few things that I hadn't even been aware of. I left the office feeling very pleased and confident that she genuinely cared about my well-being, even though it was my first visit with her. While I liked my previous dermatologist and would have continued seeing him, I often felt that some of my concerns were not taken as seriously especially after going there for well over a decade. With Dr. Pham, every concern was acknowledged immediately and addressed thoroughly. If you're looking for a new dermatologist, I highly recommend asking for Dr. Pham at Sand Dermatology. Based on my experience today, my wife and our two daughters will be scheduling appointments as well, since they also need to find a new dermatologist.

They did call and leave a message that I missed but after that call, I had two text confirmations from them and called the office the morning of my appointment and talk to someone to confirm. I showed up for my appointment and they said it had been canceled and that they tried reaching out to me. They offered me no alternative solution other than to come back until I had said that I talk to someone and then all of a sudden they could get me in with someone. However, I had taken off work and after over 30 minutes of waiting past my appointment time after they had told me it would be just a few moments I had to leave. There was zero apology, and they tried to blame me and their third-party system. When I asked why the third-party system would be sending out reminder text and confirmation after they had canceled the appointment, they told me they don't actually cancel the appointment until they talk to the patient. When I asked why they would do that when there was no doctor to be seen as an alternative they just said that's the way we do it. While I will take the blame for missing the missed call at 8 AM the day before I don't understand why they wouldn't make a second attempt when the appointment was at 12:50 the next day. And furthermore, why I wouldn't have been told on the phone when I called the day of my appointment. Needless to say, I called Kaiser and ask him not to ever have to go back to the office.

She asked why I wanted the mass on my leg removed and I told her it concerned me and I wanted it biopsied. She did a 5 ml punch and did 4 stitches. I realized there was old blood on the walls and the process was very rushed and everyone seemed ready for lunch. I left confused with Very little instructions for after care and to return in 2 weeks for stitches removal. The day before they were to come out I realized it was oozing and I went to urgent care since they couldn't see me. They said it was infected and gave me antibiotics. I went the next day to see the dr here for my appt for stitches removal and I waited again almost 2 hours. The nurse said it wasn't infected and said my stitches just popped. I had a gaping hole in my leg that had not healed the slightest in 2 weeks. They put sterri strips on it and said it would heal when they came off. 3 days later they fell off and it was completely open and had green in it. I went back to the dr and walked in during their lunch and said I needed to be seen or I was going back to the urgent care and it needed stitches if it wasn't infected as they said it wasn't. She pondered about 5 min whether or not to put stitches back in it. She opted not to and just said to keep it covered. I've spent 3 months with a hole in my leg open to the elements. I haven't been able to swim, take a bath, or even let the shower stream hit it. I still have an open hole in my leg. I'm not sure how biopsy's go but from what I hear this is not normal. Mine came back as scar tissue and now it just going to be replaced with more scar tissue and the most awful scar. It's been truly hindering my every day activities with my babies not being able to get it wet not to mention the excruciating pain I get sometimes. If I would have been given proper stitches this would have never happened. I'm deeply disappointed by the wait times, lack of cleanliness, performance and quality of care. I cannot believe a 5 mm punch has impacted me this way. Basically had the procedure been done the right way the first time and had they put stitches back in it but were too busy to do then this would have been healed long ago. See my photos ....
