Went for dinner a few weeks ago and ate in the "dining room." We had eggplant parm which was okay but the condition of the room was so dirty that I couldn't concentrate on what I was eating. The rugs are very worn and dirty. We sat in a booth and the backrest is cloth which was in such a need of cleaning. Particularly this time of year with flu so prevalent one would think they would clean it. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. Such rude employees, as well as the owner! First, I stood there for a few minutes waiting for somebody to take my order. Meanwhile, there was only me and one other customer at the counter and four employees behind the counter, not doing anything. Then, I needed to pay for my drink and one employee walked past me and then leaned on the counter and proceeded to use his phone while the others were already on their phones! One of the best slices in the area. I come from the NJ side, and have been coming for years. Their plain slice is very flavorful, and the Sicilian slice is also very good. Occasionally I'll pick up a pie which is loved by everyone in my family, tastes great reheated too. When my family from Florida visits, the first thing they want is a good pizza - this is the first place they ask for first! The employees are very Italian - nice but a little rough around the edges if you're not used to that tougher personality. They're typically not concerned with making convo, they're looking to take your order and move on to the next customer (especially because the line does get long at times) - nothing wrong with that! read more

Had a craving for chicken marsala called poser poser ordered to be picked up everything was perfect all the food was included bread butter salad dressing everything not a thing missing and the food was delicious the Tiermas Sue terrific enjoyed it immensely it would definitely be back. Just got a large pie recently and while it tasted okay, some of the cheese overflowed onto the inside of the box and the pie wasn't even round like it was supposed to be. It was somewhat elliptical. It wasn't even busy but I was so surprised by how ugly the pie looked. Messy. Wasn't even cut right. I should have taken a picture. I'm not local so this might be my first and last visit, but I was impressed! First of all, there was a wonderful smell of hot, yeasty pizza dough coming from the open door. I haven't experienced that good, fresh pizza smell since I was quite little. And it was a sign of good things to come. We kept our order simple and got a Grandma's pizza to go. The pizza smelled fantastic and it took a lot of self-control not to pop open the box for a slice or at least a peek. Even though the ride back to the house took a little longer than planned and we had to warm the slices, it was excellent. One of the best pizzas I've had in ages (not counting homemade). The crust was thin, crisp, but not dry or shatteringly brittle. There was a good yeasty flavor, too. The sauce and cheese were also both excellent. Very fresh with lots of flavor. I don't know when and if I'll have another chance to try this place again, but I hope I do! Their Fisherman's pizza and Roman stuffed pizza both sound great! Stopped in to check it out and bought a stuffed Sicilian slice called Gardeners. It was sooo tasty that I literally ate it in my car. It's a crispy THIN Sicilian crust, tons of veggies that were cooked and mozz cheese. I was in a hurry but would love to go back for a different slice or an entree. I have been here many, many times over the years. From lunchtime when I was a senior at NHS, to going here with my grandfather, this place is a tried and true part of Nanuet. The restaurant side of Posa Posa has some really decent Italian food. You won't be blown away but you will be satisfied and will leave stuffed. The pizza side of Posa's has a decent slice but some times the quality of the plain slice isn't what is should be. I have gotten a few pies from here that were really messily made. That being said, Posa Posa has some really great specialty slices (deep dish, roman) that are worth a look! read more

Awesome pizza! My favorite is their white slice, but all of the pizza here is good. The sicilian is also great! There is always a good variety of slices available, and they are always making fresh pies. There are also a lot of rolls and stuffed sicilian slices. Besides the pizza part of Posa Posa, there is a dining area that is a really nice restaurant. I have attended parties in the dining area in the past. There is a big room in back that you can use. I have also been here for dinner in the dining area. Lots of great pasta! Also have delicious desserts and italian ices/gelato. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because in all of the years I have been coming here there have not been many renovations. It has looked exactly the same for as long as I can remember. Always busy so I feel like they must make a lot of money. Feel like it would be really helpful to modernize some areas. But overall great service. Awesome place! Highly recommend! read more

Place has gone steadily downhill in the 2 years and maybe 10 times I've gone here. I usually get table service in the back room and order pizza and dishes. Its not bad, but nothing special in terms of taste and freshness. Expect to wait a pretty long time for service, especially if its remotely busy. Portions are also quite small relative to the price. We've been coming here for many years and usually the food is really good. We were here a few days ago and the food was just OK. The Chicken Sorentina had two small chicken breast pieces covered by an enormous slice of eggplant. The sauce was very watery with little taste. My wife (who is not a big eater) finished it rather quickly and was still hungry. My baked ziti was dry (not much sauce) and the cheese only covered half the dish. The good things about the meal were the bread and the service, but if this had been my first time here it would also have been my last. This place has got the best carbonara I've ever tried! Make sure you bring a friend (or two) as the serving of any pasta here is quite huge! You need space to try their classic pizza which is the cheese pizza. You know you will have a great meal because you can see that the people behind the store are mostly Italians (and of course they've been serving for years already). Based upon a recommendation we ordered a pizza for pickup. We live 5 minutes away. When I opened the box at home. I found a pizza that was obvously cooked well ahead of our order...probably held for slices that didn't sell quickly enough and thrown in a box and placed on top of the ovens. Huge disappointment. I recommend,checking your pizza before leaving. Tried another pizza a week layer in house because my friend insisted and again disappointed. Sauce not flavorful. I normally shy away anymore from pizza places because of the heavy cheese and gluten BUT Posa Posa came highly recommended and did not disappoint! They custom made a pie and even prepared it separately to avoid cross contamination. They went light on the onions and cheese. Sauce was excellent. I have been going to this place for years. Great food and usual good service although the dinner came out while we were still having salad. That being said we were seated in the main dinning room with friends from out of town when the hostess sat a group of two families with the loudest screaming children (6 ) of them to be exact with total disregard for the other patrons in the dinning room. I mean really I expect kids to be noisy, but this was out of control. Patrons were looking at each other throughout the entire room . It gets pretty bad when you can't hear the person at your table sitting across from you speak. When questioned the hostess said it was out of her control because when the reservation was made they were not informed that there would be a nursery school of kids in the group. There is a casual dinning section in this restaurant where children are welcome and children can be as unruly as they like, or more the point as their parents will allow. Being a Friday night the place was packed, and the group in question would have had to wait to be seated. It was quite obvious that this establishment, was more concerned with their cash register proceeds than the comfort of the long time patrons. If you value peace and quite when you dine I strongly suggest you consider other venues. read more

One of the BEST pizza places and restaurants in Rockland. Posa Posa has been a staple of Rockland since the days when Caldor's used to be where Kohls is. So, if you think Posa Posa is a fluke for being around that long, guess again! Pizza place in the front and full service restaurant in the back, with really good dinners. Ziti Aum Aum (ziti with eggplant) I've been having for years and had again this week. It's always that good! All the dinners are for that matter. Full service bar and great desserts. Don't let the pizza place store front fool you, it's worthy of some of the finer Italian restaurants in Rockland. The only setback is, and some find it confusing but you can't order pizza for the dining room. And, speaking of pizza....if you are a veggie queen Iike myself try the stuffed gardeners. So, SO good.
