Went in today to drop off a prepaid package and the owner said it would cost me a dollar. I know a dollar is not worth complaining over but she was rude too! She said "we are providing a service so there is a fee!" Geez! Ok, this is not very neighborly in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if everything here is overpriced. Do not use this service. Marie, the woman complimented in so many of these reviews sadly passed away last year. She was, as many of these reviews said, quite professional and good at her job. I traveled for 15 years for work and Marie would hold my mail and packages. I never worried once and never had one single issue. She was such a delight that many of her customers would bring her flowers, a little snack, etc. The new owners have no idea what they are doing and even more sad, do not care. When they first took over, I just hoped that they were having a tough time getting started, but there were problems from the beginning, including the loss of a hand painted wedding invitation, which they handed to me crumpled up, weeks after the wedding. Today I picked up mail after a vacation and the new owner insisted that I take the entire bin, rather than sort through it there, because her husband got it confused with the "junk bin". Since I saw mail that belonged to other people in there, I insisted on going through it before taking my mail home. Yikes, there were two checks and personal cards for other customers in the box. She stood there getting mad at me, saying "just throw them away". I am finding a different service today and changing my address immediately. This place is scary. You are better off with the USPS. read more

I have been using Post Box for almost 3 years now and haven't had any issues whatsoever. I'm very surprised by the negative reviews I'm reading and feel they are completely unwarranted. My boyfriend and I receive A LOT of packages every week and Peppina and Shaun have always been such a huge help. Not only are they understanding and accommodating of the volume of packages we receive, they also go above and beyond to help us mail out packages (they pack everything up for us, provide the boxes, and take care of everything without charging us extra or making us wait around... so convenient!). They are also very kind people which says a lot because I can imagine that dealing with mail carriers and shipping issues every day must be such a pain. Overall I just want to say thank you for offering such a great service, we couldn't receive any of these packages without you! And I would highly recommend Post Box to anyone looking for mailing services. read more

I walk by this place daily since I live so close by but it never occurred to me that this place shipped packages (I thought it was just a mailbox room that received packages). I went in and rung a broken bell three times not sure where anybody was. A lady who was still talking on the phone quickly came by and accepted my package, had me fill out an address form, accepted my credit card (not Discover Card though) and took care of the rest (all while still talking on the phone). It took me probably less than 5 minutes and even though she was still on the phone, she was nice, quick, and efficient. I have no idea why I've wasted time at the USPS Post Office or anywhere else when I could have been going here this whole time. P.S. I live close by and I have had a post box here for approximately 2 years. Peppina and her husband are warm and friendly and they provide excellent customer service. When I have been away and not able to check my mail, Peppina has kept my mail safely stored away to keep from my mailbox from getting overstuffed. Had a horrible experience with the lady at this store. She tried to charge me for dropping off packages, which is supposed to be free. (UPS, USPS and Fedex pay them as an access point, but it's supposed to be free of charge for the customer drop offs.) When I asked her what the charge was for, she lost her temper and accused me of using her store without paying. I was very polite and reiterated I can pay if needed, I just want to understand what the charge is for. She made it clear that she didn't like me, and she was charging me because she "felt like it." I asked her if I did something to offend her, and asked if me using tape is what upset her. I was very confused and doing my best to understand why she was so angry. She was out of control and told me to leave. I paid the fee, but wanted to take my package back since I was worried she would harm it or throw it away in bad faith. She refused to give me back my package. I felt targeted and discriminated. I will be initiating formal complaints. read more

But they take serious precautions (door open, hand sanitizer available, person who helped me was masked), and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! This is by far the most screwed up run business I have found in my 62 years on this Earth!!! On February 7th I was home to receive two boxes from Amazon and I left the UPS driver a note that I was home and to ring my bell. Of course he does not ring the bell and leaves a door tag that it will be brought to this 1592 Union Street location! That is on UPS! They are idiots and we all know that! That was a Friday. The "Box" place did not get the items until the following Tuesday. I went up there and the woman told me she signed for both but now suddenly they can't find one of them! I took the blanket box she gave me but no double boiler pot!! I called Amazon and they issued me a credit so I could buy a new one and have it delivered to my office! We don't lose packages here!! I received it and that's it. Then I get a call days later from the lady at "Box" saying she now has my double boiler! Well lady, send it back as I already got one. Then I receive a notice today that my blanket was going to be returned yesterday (I got that when I originally picked up my blanket on 2/11) at 7:30pm!! Then I get another notice that it would be returned to Amazon at 7:36pm! Really???? You guys have to get it together! I picked up the blanket and no pot then repurchased pot, got pot at work, and now my blanket is being returned, which I have on my bed!!! People, have things sent to work if you can!!! I will never go through this insanity again. Even Amazon said this is one of the worst stories they have heard! read more

I recently shipped some wine with Pepina. It unfortunately was broken in transit (not pepina's fault). I called UPS to file a claim, after getting the run around with them I called Pepina. The owner is a lunatic and the place is mismanaged. After carrying 3 large cartons for mailing and waiting for her to wait on everyone else that came in after me, she became angry with me because I was willing to wait for my packages to be posted - she expected me to leave them there, give her a credit card and to come back later to find out how much it was going to cost. At the same time, I went in to pickup my mail after having a mail box there for a very short time and she looked through a huge pile of mail on the floor behind the counter for my mail!
