I've used this store multiple times to send large clumsy items, and every single time the staff has been incredibly helpful. Just today I had to send off approximately 150 pounds of books and they were very helpful in the whole process - they're boxing it up and distributing the books evenly. They let me know that they'd call me when everything was boxed up with the price so that I could give them my form of payment. Maybe I'm used to corporate-run stores, but this friendly mentality keeps me coming back. read more

Thorny, burnt out people working there who have no awareness that people are waiting and no desire to provide good customer service. They argued with me for at least five minutes about a zip code until they looked it up in some big heavy book that confirmed that I had the correct zip code. I rented a uhaul on 9/30 and was charged 48$ which is fine . then a couple of hours later I was charged an extra 100$ on my card which I assumed was for the deposit. A couple of days went by and it never got refunded so I co tacted my bank. They said they couldn't dispute it since I had signed a contract. When I contacted uhaul about it they said they wouldn't refund it because I had "driven over 100 miles" which is preposterous considering I moved a couple of blocks away. When I explained this to them they said they had to open an investigation to see what the actual mileage on the truck was. So here I am 3 months later out 100 bucks. I basically paid 150$ to move 12 miles. Ridiculous. read more

It has become somewhat uncommon to be served professionally, courteously and sincerely in retail stores, so it was with distinct pleasure I found myself at Postal Annex. The store is well-stocked and offers full-line shipping and mailing services such as Fedex, UPS etc. Additionally they have a useful notary service. If you are in need of business services such as mailing, packaging materials copying and faxing and loathe the Kinkos experience, give these really nice folks a try. read more

I needed to rent a U-Haul trailer to move my daughter back from college for the summer. I stopped by Postal Annex because it's close to my house. Kurt was very helpful! He helped me figure out what size trailer I needed. I made the reservation for the trailer and a few days later I got an email from U-Haul telling me I had to pick up the trailer in ARTESIA, which is about 5 miles from where I live. I called Kurt and he said don't worry about it. Short story long, I got to pick up the trailer at PA and not Artesia. Kurt was a great! read more

I had a PO Box here for several months while I was starting up my business. They were always very nice and patient with any questions I had. One thing that was nice is that they can accept UPS and Fed Ex packages and the PO Box through the actual post office did not do this. Another benefit is that you have an actual address (as opposed to a PO Box) so when you give people the address they would assume it is a home address. For privacy issues, this is nice. I would definitely recommend postal annex. read more

I recently moved to the area and decided to go here instead of the post office since it was so close. The first time I was sending a small package to a client. I was charged $7 for something that should have been less but I went ahead and did the transaction. 2 weeks later, I received the package at my work with a note that said it did not have enough postage. Second and last time I went I was sending out some Christmas cards. The man who helped me said i would need 2 stamps per card. I paused as I have never had to pay for 2 stamps per card but there was a line behind me and I thought maybe prices had gone up due to covid. Anyway I paid almost $30 to send out 15 Christmas cards! I came home, told my fiancé and he said I definitely overpaid. We've received about 10 Christmas cards the same size from friends and family and ALL had only 1 stamp. I will definitely go elsewhere if I need to have something sent and I recommend you do too unless you don't mind overpaying. read more

I have come in here a few times for the services they offer and have always been helped by a nice lady on weekends for notary. But yesterday Sonny and Kurt went above and beyond to help me out with my wedding invite dilemma! My invitation was misprinted without the RSVP information and I wanted to print up a small card to be included. Kinkos was super unhelpful and ridiculously overpriced. I had all but given up but I stopped in here for stamps and figured I'd ask and let me tell you... They delivered! Sonny was super helpful and patient and Kurt was honest and fair about what they could do for me and I couldn't be happier with the result! I have rented a mailbox here for the past three months and it has been a wonderful experience. They text me and email me when a package arrives. They open at 7am which works great for me as I can swing in on my way to work. Kurt always greets me with a smile and I often forget my key but he is always gracious and helpful in retrieving my mail. Laura, the clerk, knows me by name and always greets me with a hello. I would highly recommend anyone who wants a safe place to get their packages and mail. It is the best money I spend every month. read more

In the past, I have done some small postage purchases here and shipped a small box. I have also succumbed to some impulsive buys on their gift shop type goodies and was satisfied enough to think I would want to support the local business. Recently, my husband and I went to ship a box to our son who recently deployed. The service was OK but not extremely helpful and we were shocked at the $70 charge to ship a square box to an APO address. True enough, now that I check USPS, the military rate for our box is $56 ---the markup was a full 25%! We will be sending things frequently and will definitely not be using this service again. We understand free enterprise and shame on us for not asking what amount they tacked on; it did not occur to us the fee would be exorbitant especially for military! It occurred to me to check because the clerk told me a large flat rate box would be $25. The military rate is a discounted $16.75; so the markup on that box is slightly over 49%!! Lesson learned and a heads up to other military families --- take the few minutes to get to a post office and save yourselves some money. For us it may be hundreds over a 9 month deployment. Our son chose to serve so we do not expect special privileges for his sacrifice, but this kind of thing is distasteful. The clerk told us of others who frequently send the $25 box to their servicemen. Clearly posting the surcharge amount would be the decent, and least thing, they could do. read more
