Dropped off a few packages here over the last couple of weeks and none of the employees wear masks. This is just a heads up.

I run my own business and I've started to ship letters a lot more. The post office in Bel Air charges me about 3.55 for tracking a small bubbled envelope. One day the line was out the door for bel air and I decided to try postal annex to save time. NOT AT $8 PER PACKAGE FOR THE SAME PACKAGES I SEND AT BEL AIR. Plus the owner is rude and cares less about retaining customers especially residents that have lived here 25 years. read more

This location does not provide drop off receipts. And, according to the employees, packages have gotten lost in the hand-off between this location and the shipping provider. I was dropping off several bulky packages for USPS and UPS, and I placed them on the counter. One of the employees said, "Are you dropping off? Okay, you're all set." I asked for a drop off receipt, and the employee told me the tracking number was my receipt. She said it slowly while pointing at the tracking label (as if I was unable to grasp the concept). I asked if they have anything that shows the transfer of possession from me to them. Another employee joined the conversation. The employees said the shipping providers do not provide them with receipts, so they can't provide customers with receipts. I asked if there have been lost packages in the hand off between them and the shipping provider. Without hesitation, the answer was "Yes, absolutely; packages do get lost." One of the employees said, "if you're not comfortable, I think UPS might provide receipts." The oddest part of this experience was how both employees acted as if it was unusual to provide drop off receipts. When I decided I needed to go somewhere that provides a receipt, I gathered up my packages, and the employee handed me a document-sized FedEx envelope, saying, "you forgot one." It wasn't mine! That could have been another lost item. No thanks. read more

Went in on Friday 1/22/21 to mail two Fed Ex packages and girl behind the counter was sick (coughing, sniffling) and did NOT have a mask on. As a very busy Notary Public I've been dropping FedEx & UPS packages off at this location years. Staff is friendly and helpful. They always have supplies on hand when needed. Not sure why there are any negative comments. Possibly impatient rude entitled customers?? I've seen this first hand. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews AT ALL! I rented a mailbox here almost 6 years ago and never, not one time had an issue. Obviously this is the reason why when I needed a box again, I came back to this location. I have never experienced a situation where anyone was rude to me, or the story was dirty, I was talked to in a condescending demeanor, none of these things. There is a reason this location has been open for so long. I believe an establishment has the right to their own prices and or policies, if you don't like it simply go somewhere else. It's that easy! I personally look at reviews and try to determine if the person writing it is giving me a REAL and HONEST review or if they are just throwing a tantrum and using Yelp as an outlet. read more

I recommend my son go to this store to have his college project bound and laminated. The man there, Steve (possibly the owner), said he would try to have it done by 6:30pm and recommended my son call ahead to ensure it was complete. My older son went in to pick up the binder for his brother. The lady working at the store said the order was not complete but she'd do it while my son waited. He said it was no problem that he'd just shop around. He was the only customer in the store other than a woman working on a computer. He told the employee to take her time and not to worry if she needed to help other customers ahead of him because he was not in a rush. The employee was just about finished when Steve came out and started ranting about the order not being done and that my son should not have come in to get the order without calling. His attitude was very condescending toward both his employee and my son. When my son came home he told me about the situation and how uncomfortable he was. He said he'd never go back. I called the store and asked for Steve. I told him I was embarrassed at having recommended his store as opposed to Kinkos, not because of the order being delayed but because of the unacceptable treatment. As he got very defensive I kindly told him I was calling simply to give him the feedback because if it were me and that were my store, I'd want to know why I lost a customer. This is the kicker, he really didn't care! He said no problem, go elsewhere and then hung up on me. This store deserves to lose business. read more

Fine and friendly. But for some reason they refuse to give receipts for dropped off packages. They say if I want that I'd have to go to the post office. But every other Postal Annex has provided receipts no problem. Dropped off about $1,000 worth of returns in several pre paid shipments and I have no proof that I actually sent them. read more

This is the worst postal store I have ever been to! I dropped of a box containing my mom's Christmas gift worth over $1,200.00 at Postal Annex on December 15th, 2012. I used the Fed-Ex online system to print my label and I taped it well to the box. A few days later when I went to track the item, it showed that package never left Postal Annex. I went down to the Postal Annex store on 4010 Foothills Blvd. and talked to Steve (the owner). I asked him what happened to the box I dropped off and all he could do is talk down to me like I was some dog that had defecated on the carpet. He started to get really defensive. Steve then started to yell at me while customers were in the store "are you stupid? Can't you look up the tracking online like a normal person instead of wasting my time?" I was shocked to hear this kind of response coming from the owner of the store. He then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't his fault and maybe next time I should support his store by purchasing the postage from him instead of going directly through Fed-Ex and maybe this wouldn't have happened. I believe that Steve had kept the package for himself because he was mad that I did not buy his overpriced shipping services. I had to put a tracer on the package through Fed-Ex and they said that most likely since it was never scanned by Fed-Ex, the owner or someone stole the package out of the store. Steve (the owner) didn't want to do anything about it. He said tough luck and get out of my store. This guys business will slowly fail once people find out about the terrible customer service. No one deserves to be treated like this and this is the last postal store that anyone should be visiting. A little tip for anyone out there. Go next door to Bel-Air, they have an actual USPS store inside with much cheaper prices and friendly staff. read more

Three clerks at the counter, no one wearing a mask during this pandemic, and they refused to take my packages because supposedly I had too many. I walked in with two packages, and told them I needed to go back to the car for 3 more, and they said no. They said they can't take that many and that I should go to the post office instead! I work during the same hours as the post office, I came here to be able to ship at a convenient time for working people! Don't operate this business if you don't want to do your job!!! I'm sure there's plenty other people who will happily have your position! I'll be reporting this to the BBB and to the heads of this organization. I went to The Postal Annex today and out of three people only one person was wearing a mask behind the counter. The older woman was wearing a mask the other two were not. I cannot believe in this time of covid-19 that you would run a business without wearing a mask. Also there was no social distancing no marks on the floor. The customers had masks on but everyone was leaning on counters and very close together. I could tell that if I had asked him why he didn't have a mask on it wouldn't have been nice. I use this Postal Annex often. The owner and staff are always helpful and accommodating. AND, they have the best greeting cards around...Along with lots of fun novelty items. Even if you aren't shipping anything, this is a great spot to pick up cards, or a small gift. I love giving my business to a small businessman who gives great service and values my patronage. read more

I've previously been pleased with rates and service here but today was exception. Male person who attended to me paid no attention to what I told him I wanted and rates were much higher than previously. When I mentioned high prices I was told I'm welcome to go elsewhere. I wasn't pleased with rates or his rudeness so I won't be returning but more so because he wasn't wearing a mask. Obviously no concern for customers. I have been going to this location which is close to my home for years now. And in the last several years I have used this for business needs such as Shipping, packaging and sometimes even faxing. I have a business is located directly across FedEx on Douglas. But I still choose to go to this location closer to my home because of the customer service. I read and I get what some of the people are saying about perhaps the owner is that always friendly. As a business owner I can understand sometimes of the day sometimes you have bad days but the customer service is always the same I have good prices and the work that they produce is amazing. I will continue to drive from my store to this location for all my shipping and shipping product needs Because the service is consistent. I'm thankful they're in my neighborhood and that I have this option. read more

I went into the PostalAnnex on Foothills a little while ago to mail a birthday present to my sister. Two out of the three employees I saw were wearing masks. However, it is a small and narrow store. The one person who did not have a mask on was talking to another customer close to where I needed to stand. So, I kept backing up as much as I could as he processed my package. Once he looked up from the screen to take my money I said "She doesn't have a mask on, so..." in order to point out why I was distanced, and handed him my money. He very calmly said "You don't have to mail the package". I was stunned. Didn't understand at first what he meant. I said that I did want to mail it. He repeated himself and stated that I seemed angry. Shocked, I said "I'm not angry, I was concerned since she didn't have a mask on. And I don't appreciate your attitude." He said "I don't appreciate your attitude." I payed and left. In tears. I am very non confrontational. This is why I don't normally say a word! But, suffice it to say, I will never step foot in this place of business again. read more

I would give this Postal Annex location (Foothills Blvd, Suite 103) negative stars if i could. The owner of the store was not only incredibly rude and unprofessional, but was borderline in violation of the law. I was prepared to sign up for a mailbox there. Because it was my first time using such a service, I asked questions. The owner was very sensitive to the questions, and starting accusing me of trying to "catch" him in something. He also became very condescending in his responses. In the end, I decided to take my business elsewhere due to the shocking degree of his rudeness. I took back the papers i had signed so I could shred them, since they contained photocopies of my passport and driver's license. Given our exchange I did not trust him with it. However, he quickly snatched back the documents and insisted on shredding them himself just to have the upper hand in the situation (ie, to show me it was he who was rejecting me, so to speak). However, I am extremely disturbed that he would go so far as to not allow a customer to take their own very sensitive personal information and dispose of it as they choose, just to prove a point. For that alone I could have called the police and made an identity theft claim, because after our exchange I have no doubt this person would act vindictively. By the time he grabbed the documents out of my hands, I was already feeling very uncomfortable. I was afraid attempting to get my papers back might lead to a physical confrontation, and i am much smaller than he is. But I am sitting here with the deepest regret at not acting more forcefully to ensure that my information was protected (i think i would have had to call the police right there in the store in order to gain his cooperation), and I hope in writing this others can more effectively assert their rights. Further, the owner knew I accidentally left my business credit card on the counter and had walked out without it in my haste to leave the store. Luckily, i realized this soon after i left the store and was in the parking lot. The owner made no attempt to go out and let me know that i had left the card, even though he surely was aware of it at the time i walked out. I went back, asked for my card, and he gave it to me with a smug attitude. This person does not truly know what customer service means, and the length he is willing to go to show a customer he does not need their business is borderline in violation of the law. Condescending little man that owns the place is the #1 reason to avoid Postal Annex on Foothill in Roseville. Let me explain. I had been there before to have a document notarized by an Asian woman not too long ago. I had not signed the document and while she notarized it I said to her, "I figured you needed to watch me sign so I left it open." And she said it didn't matter. So this time, same kind of document I mistakenly signed ahead of time, based on what she had told me. Fast forward to today. Little man immediately told me that I wasn't supposed to have signed it. So, I tried explaining about my prior visit and why I had signed it ahead of time. He in his condescending little tone said," Well, I'M the one notarizing it now." I said okay what would you like me to do. He told me that he would need to attach another sheet I said that is OK. Again he told me I wasn't supposed to sign it. I asked him if he would like me to sign over it and he in his prickish way said that that would be called "tracing." At this point, losing my patience, I explained to him that I was trying to verify what he wanted me to do. He replied, "I said that you will have to cross it off and sign... by now I was seeing red, told him, " I heard you," called him a d!ck, and grabbed my stuff. I have to start out by saying that I have been using Postal Annex services for the past six months because my work is right across the street and it has been convenient, but over the past few months, I have really learned what this store really is made of and how how rude the people are over there. I have never been to a more disorganized postal store in my life. The employees are not knowledgeable at all and the owner (Steve) is a real jerk and talks down to his wife that works with him all the time and tells her to shut up when he is talking. I am a 5' 6" 115lb. female and every time I walk into the store with large boxes, he never ask me if I need any help while he clearly sees me struggling with the boxes trying to get them up onto the counter. He makes derogatory comments toward me saying because I am a woman, that's the reason I could not lift the boxes up. Total jerk! Don't ever use this facility. read more

There is a reason why the PostalAnnex on Elkhorn has 5 stars and this one has 2.5. Most of the reviews are consistently echoing the same message. The one star is for the cleanliness of the store and the two ladies that are employed here are generally pleasant and competent. The owner, Steve, is extremely passive aggressive and clearly does not care about your business. Especially if you are dropping off a package that already has postage on it (such as an Amazon return). Since each PostalAnnex is independently owned, this owner has decided not to give receipts, and will direct you to the other store or UPS. Well, if your package is "lost" don't be surprised. Take the extra 10 minutes and drive to the store on Elkhorn. At least they are friendly and won't misplace your items. Additionally, they are willing to print out a receipt with the tracking number for your records. They are not accepting liability for anything lost, but at least you have a receipt you can reference and you won't get a horrible attitude from Steve. read more

I really don't like going to the post office, so sometimes I go to this postal annex instead. The employees and owners have always been very courteous, but sometimes the owners move at a snail's pace. I wish they'd be more upfront about the shipping surcharges. I recently asked about the charges and got a very unclear answer. The only info I was given was "a 46 cent stamp costs 55 cents here". Geez. No wonder I'm always leaving this place feeling ripped off. I understand they have to make money somehow, but I'd be more willing to pay the premium for faster service. read more

I'm really surprised by the mixed reviews here. I've never had an issue at this location. I'm in and out in literally minutes. The people are genuinely nice and kind to me. The prices seem fair, the cost of everything has gone up. I like to support local businesses. They have little knick knacks in their store as well. They should maybe rotate some of their stock, they are selling this spice mix for salads, chicken, etc. etc. and I swear it's been there since 1992. (It's by the front register.) read more

I have used this Postal Annex NUMEROUS times to send packages. They normally are helpful and decently kind to customers. I came in today to send IMPORTANT documents to my son who is military and stationed in Europe. These court documents needed to be scanned and emailed to him. To be fair there were 19 pages and because they were certified, I couldnt take staple out of documents (per court employee). I explained this to owner/manager Steve and he literally laughed at me. He then said I would be paying extra cost because it would take longer. I understood and agreed to pay more. He then looked at the employee and made snide remarks, one of which was "guess you'll just be standing there scanning all day for her". I could tell she was irritated and he was being very passive aggressive. I said "I guess I could go to Kinkos" he said "Okay bye!" I was floored by the passive aggressive attitude and THERE WAS NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE!! If my son who is stationed in Europe didnt need the paperwork so badly, I wouldnt have asked for someone to have to scan all 19 pages but like I said, I even agreed to pay more.
