My rating of 1 star comes from 2 bad experiences. First, we mailed a small parcel to a family member in Folsom--a birthday gift. The clerk miscalculated the postage so badly, the birthday girl was required to PAY postage due to receive her package. That was extremely embarrassing for us. Today, I had to return an item with a prepaid FedEx label. The man behind the counter refused to give me a FedEx envelope for the label I printed--supplies that are FREE at any other shipping center!! What's worse, he said I'd have to buy an envelope or box to mail my item. Right behind him was a sign that identified their store as a FedEx authorized shipping center. There are too many choices to accept bad service like this--recommendation is to AVOID this location. read more

Although I have been a steady customer for the past 11 years, I can honestly say, the business is absolutely better than it's ever been. New owners took over earlier this year and the quality of services provided improved greatly. We used to walk on eggshells with the previous ownership. Gury and staff have created a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers of all types. Everyone is just as important whether shipping large boxes or making 3 photocopies. Lies, woman did not accept my FedEx return! I have a FedEx return with a scannable QR code and the lady who works there said she doesn't accept prepaid return for FedEx. The website clearly states it accepts FedEx return! Then proceeds to tell me to go to Rocklin FedEx. Don't you think, I've done my research for the nearest drop off? That lady is incompetent. She was pretty much useless. I then found another place. Walgreens off of Blue Oaks takes FedEx packages. The worker scan my QR code and took my package. Super easy process. read more

Went there to get some keys cut. Jessica was very patient and did her absolute best. The keys were too thick for my locks, not her fault, and did not work. She refunded my money without hesitation. Shipping parcels is mundane at best, and frustrating at worst, BUT the people who work at this location of Postal Annex are truly wonderful. It's an anxiety-relief to come in and ship from them, because they take such care with each package, offer sound advice for shipping and packing options, and are unfailingly helpful. I recently started using PostalAnnex on Foothills Blvd for any shipping needs for the company I work for. I usually used UPS, FedEx and USPS but after coming to this location, I will never go anywhere else. The staff, especially the new owner, has been nothing but wonderful, very helpful and I feel go above and beyond. UPS, FedEx and especially USPS are not really willing to help you when it comes to finding the correct box size, providing tape, etc.. sometimes it's the little things that matter. For me, the first time I walked into PostalAnnex, I was helping myself find a box, like I normally do at the other stops and an employee immediately stepped in and helped me find the perfect box, and then they printed out my shipping label (at a very fair and low cost - just had to email them a PDF) AND provided the tape and boxed it up for me. Other shipping places, especially USPS DO NOT provide tape. You must buy it. I was like WOW, that was so easy.. Another time I went there to have something printed on cardstock... again, everything went so smoothly. I emailed them the PDF, then printed it for me.. I paid a very fare and low cost and was on my way. I wont go anywhere else! read more

I went in there Friday to just do a FedEx drop and there was so many people in there. The two people working in the back was so professional. Everyone that was waiting in line was waiting patiently because of their energy and friendliness with smiles on their faces. Every time I go into this postal annex, I get the best customer service! There's a female in there with strawberry red curly hair I cannot remember her name She is absolutely amazing. Don't go here if you want a record of dropping off any packages. I tried to drop something off and asked for a receipt because it was for work and they need to have a record that I dropped it off. They said they can't provide a receipt. When I pressed because a different Postal Annex was able to provide a receipt, one of the ladies condescendingly asked why I need one since the tracking number is my receipt. I replied that I wanted a receipt to prove that I handed the package to them. I found it ridiculous that since they saw no point in giving me a receipt, they just flat out refused to give me one. I guess if you want boxes or any of the other Knick Knacks they sell, this might be a good place to go. I then went to the Postal Annex at 5325 Elkhorn Blvd in Sacramento and when I handed her the package she asks, "Would you like a receipt?" They should have all of the employees at the Foothills location get retrained at the Elkhorn location. read more

They're always helpful when I have questions, and I've always had a great experience shipping items from this location. The first time I visited this business everything went smooth and had a pleasant exchange with the man helping me. Unfortunately on my second visit there yesterday, this same individual who had helped me before seemed to have had a personality transformation. He was impatient, rude and snapped at me when I was just asking a simple question. I wanted to get away from him and paid quickly when he said I owed $4.50. I gave him a five dollar bill, he slammed the register shut, handed me my receipt and walked away. I said " I didn't get my change". I thought he was going to burst into flames. He came back to the register, opened it and gave me my .50 cents in change. All done with bristling anger. Please explain to me why people go into this business when they have to deal with the public and then treat them in this manner? There is no excuse for rudeness. I was not rude. I am 70 years old and trust me when I say I am not rude to anyone. I need help whenever I can get it. This man became impatient from the moment I walked into the store. We have used this mail/shipping location for the last few years. Today, we went in to get something notarized. There was no line, just one other customer at the counter having something notarized. We needed to have a few things notarized. The woman behind the counter told us that they don't notarize during this heavy shipping time of year. Yet, they were clearly notarizing documents at the other end of the counter. Again, there was NO ONE behind us in line. To refuse to perform a task that they advertise is terrible business......on so many levels. We will no longer do business there. We went to the UPS center down the street. There was a short line (which really is a good sign of good business practices). We waited 4 or 5 minutes and all of our documents were executed. Go to them for any shipping, mailing or notarizing services. read more

I walked in off the street @ 12 pm looking to have a document scanned. Gray-haired gentleman (owner) happily helped me thinking it was going to be a reasonable expense. I didn't ask and he didn't volunteer the cost. After he finished scanning he informed me it was $44 and I almost fainted! I don't understand why a scan would be so expensive? I mean there's no printing involved at all, he has virtually no cost of goods on something like that. In hindsight I should've asked him what the cost was and had I known I would have walked out the door. This kind of fee for a scan is outrageous and a clear example why small businesses today are being run into the ground by online services. I guess the old idiom applies here, if you don't take care of your customers someone else will! Update as of 2 PM today, I contacted Fedex to find out what the same scan would've cost there and it was only $27!I knew I was correct in thinking that the rates this place charges are outrageous! I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior in my 46 years of life! I sent a package to my son at SDSU through Postal Annex. While they did deliver package, UPS store at SDSU cannot find it. I was told to file a grievance with the company I sent the package from to start the process. Postal Annex refused to help me. Basically, they did their job, it's up to customer to deal with lost package. They refused to call UPS store and speak with them and tell them they have receipt for delivered package. Basically, "we did our job, sorry about your bad luck". I know it isn't their fault but would not help me, the customer, in the smallest way to help rectify the problem. "Your package is lost, your problem." They could not be bothered in any way, no compassion whatsoever. They also yelled at me in front of other customers about how dare I come in to their store and request assistance......basically threw me out of the store. I have never been made to feel like such an unimportant customer and have never seen such lack of empathy in my life. Needless to say, I will NEVER use their services again and Steve (manager of store I'm assuming) needs to be retrained on customer service skills. Every time I go in there, he is rude and cold with no emotion or people skills, and now, he's yelling at me! This is what our world has come to. Absolutely perfect customer service on several visits to this Foothills location of PostalAnnex+. I had my questions answered quickly and accurately regarding International shipping, along with great suggestions on saving money on domestic shipping. Nobody in the area has a better selection of shipping boxes, with at least 75 different sizes of boxes and shipping containers. The store is neat, clean, well organized, and the staff during my visits have been very helpful and professional. Shipments made from this location go out on time and I've never had an issue with any of their services. I wouldn't consider using any other store for shipping needs. I was just amazed that I got ripped off over stamps for 20 pcs they sell it in USPS for less than $10, to my surprise, postal annex charged me $13.50 for 20 stamps. I didnt realize it after I paid.
