Had a terrible experience at this location. Had a PO Box for a few months, everything was fine, then started having problems with my packages and mail. Picked up a package, got mine and someone else's. I returned it, didn't think much of it. Happened again, this time the package was a completely different PO Box. I returned it and started to worry. By this time I had 2 letters from another box in my mail. 3 time, package missing. Since I had received other people's packages 2 times already, I immediately got worried. Went back a few times to check and couldn't get a hold of supervisor, didn't get a call back, was told they couldn't do anything, to contact the shipping company. After that, I had 2 more packages missing. One mysteriously appeared the day I confronted the owner with the postman present. I know I was not the only one also having problems as one time another person also returned a package that wasn't theirs. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. Good luck! read more

Okay to bad service. A few months ago I was searching around to find a place that can accept UPS drop-off packages nearby instead of going to those real UPS locations. I remember passing by this place many times and seeing the UPS sign since I go to the Safeway next door. One day I had 2 boxes taped and already had UPS shipping labels on both of them. Out of convenience I decided to try this place out and stopped by in the afternoon. I was lucky that day to find parking right in front. Because my boxes were very heavy, I decided to walk in first and ask the lady if they do accept UPS packages for pickup. The lady replied yes. Then, I asked if I can get some help or at least borrow her moving tool thing I saw hiding beside all the mail boxes in another room. She basically replied NO and suggested me get a Safeway cart from outside. I remember during that time either my back or foot was hurting...so I was very irritated to be treated so insincerely without any offer to help. Obviously, a person would not ask for help if he or she did not need help in the first place. In the end, I had to find a Safeway cart, heft the 2 boxes into a cart, push the Safeway cart into her establishment, then lift the 2 heavy boxes up and and over the cart before she put the 2 boxes aside... Then, she had the nerve to ask me to push the Safeway cart back outside... I had to withhold my anger and vowed to write this Yelp one day, and today was the day. I hope nobody else will get this terrible experience. It was supposed to be a simple and easy breezy drop-off, smile and go type of thing. I already had everything ready from home. Ms. Devi seemed quite nice this time around - I didn't sense anything off about her as others may have complained about. She seemed a little busy, but she managed to help me out fairly quickly. The document scanning was done fairly quickly and, aside from waiting to be assisted (she was helping another man first), it was basically an in-n-out job. I do not believe, however, that the document scan is worth a few bucks. I am sure there are other places that would charge me for mayhaps less than a dollar. I hope that they rectify that and that they provide better/competitive pricing because I felt like it was more than what I expected. I may be back for future business - but I will be comparing it to future experiences elsewhere. I am happy to help local and small businesses when I can, especially one run by families, so I am not too particularly upset about the possible loss due to a higher cost, however I can't help but question if the rates were fair or reasonable... This particular location has inconsistent pricing with their print and copy service. It can range anywhere from $0.09 to $0.15 depending on the day and or person for each black and white photocopy. They overcharge for the printing services and were very dishonest about shipping costs. When I went to the Post Office behind them, I realized that Postal Annex charged me $15 more for a package (with the same delivery date, weight, service, address, etc) than it's actual cost. They gave her a package bag that was the size of a TEXTBOOK and charged her $17. That price is way too much to ship a tiny keychain. NEVER coming here again. The owners of this Postal is a man and a woman who already know me and are always very kind and helpful whenever I come in to ship out a package. Yesterday I came in to get my fingerprints done and realized that the owners weren't there and instead was a short lady with glasses working. She was not giving at all good customer service. She kept going to the back to do whatever she was doing while my boyfriend, another lady who was there before us, and I were waiting for her to help us when we finished filling out the documents for the fingerprints. She was also wearing a earbud while talking to us which is unprofessional because you can't be working and talking to a customer while listening to music at the same time. She was giving the lady and I horrible attitude, she kept raising her voice at us, and whenever we had a question about what to fill out in the documents she will be rude and tell us she didn't know and to figure it out ourselves. Once I finished filling out my documents I gave it to her and she was about to process it but then there was one box I filled in incorrectly and she told me to call the agency who was hiring me and to confirm with them what to write down or else she won't be able to process my fingerprints. I asked her about that same box before filling it in and she said she didn't know what to write down and all of a sudden she knew what I had to write down in the all along? She also started to raise her voice at me and started to sound annoyed for not filling in the box correctly. My boyfriend and I had to leave without my fingerprints because we couldn't deal anymore with her rudeness when my boyfriend and I were always being nice to her. She is also racist because she was treating me and the lady who was there before us differently because were Latinas. Once I see the owners again I am going to tell them about this lady because this type of customer service is unacceptable and not tolerated especially when the customer needs help and is being kind. read more

The 3/4 of times I've been to this location the workers seemed like the don't want to help. I never left a comment or review because I normally brush it off but this time I can't. I normally go to a different location on south white rd and they workers there are EXTREMELY nice and helpful. It was just a drop off and they told me to drop it off and I asked for a receipt. I usually ship UPS and USPS and I always get a receipt from ANYWHERE that ships and they said they don't give USPS receipts or anything, because it's USPS that if I want a receipt I need to go to them personally. I told them I've been to many before and they all and they said no. I told them I'm not picking them back up if they get lost I'm going back to them. I walked out near my car and they were yelling at me to come get my packages. They I told them it's in their In their possession now I'm not getting it. I found this Postal Annex location to be a pretty good one. I needed a heavy Dell workstation (seriously, this thing is like solid steel) shipped out to Boston, MA via Fedex and didn't want to risk having it get damaged in transit. I took it in and the folks behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. They got it all set to go with lots of bubble wrap/peanuts while we waited. I'm also a fan of being able to drop off any carrier's packages if you have a prepaid shipping label - Fedex Office only accepts Fedex and UPS Store only accepts UPS, but Postal Annex accepts Fedex, USPS and UPS - saving me time and gas. As an added bonus, it's pretty much walking distance from my apartment. read more

Instead to make an extra buck she sent me to use their computer where I was being charged by the time. She said that both her computers were down which was hard to believe. Two days later, the lady behind the counter remembered me when I came back with an urgent batch of docs, this time to mail. I arrived at the same time as the last pickup from the USPS, so was told it would go tomorrow. Just a little worried look on my face sent the sweet ladies behind the counter scrambling to meter my mail and run it personally out the door to the waiting postman. Friendly courteous staff. I live near this location and have been using it for years. Honestly, it's been a mixed experience. It's run by a couple that I assume are husband and wife. I've always had a positive experience when dealing with the man, but the woman just gives off an air of not wanting to be there. I often just print a prepaid label and drop the package there. I wonder if they realize how much it is hurting their business, especially with the Post Office being next door (literally). Recently I dropped a couple of high-value items off to return. Having had returns 'go missing' in transit in the past (doubt it was the fault of Postal Annex), I wanted proof that they'd accepted the packages from me, just in case they didn't reach their destination. This is apparently an unusual request, and not easy for them to satisfy. And they charge for it. Well, Ok, I guess... But then after one package was dropped accidentally (with no apology) and the other deliberately (rather than bend over to put it down), I was beginning to wonder if I should drive to the local FedEx store next time. Yes, I realize it'll likely go through much worse on its journey, but somehow I'd feel better if they were handled with more care while I'm standing right there. Normally there's little to find fault with, but this experience was definitely mixed. I had a mailbox here for a year when I was working in the bay area. They were very good to me. Even though I was only in a couple times a month they always greeted me by name. Sometimes I would have a giant package sitting there for a week and even in their small shop they didn't complain. I can also state that I felt much safer having my items sent there rather than my apartment. One time my roommate tried to pick up a package he had sent to my address by mistake. They were very firm in not allowing him to have access to my mail without contacting me first. If you need to send something USPS, however, I would probably recommend going to a real post office. They charge a fee (they have to make money somehow). read more

Went in for a notary on one document for hubby and myself. Two signatures. Max charge as a notary is $15 per signature so when he said $30 charge I knew that was correct since I'm a notary myself and walked away while hubby paid. Didn't know til later we were charged $60! That's double the legal rate! Store was closed by the time I learned this but will definitely be calling Monday morning for my refund! Also didn't even fingerprint us. Will not be going back there for any service. Disappointed because so many similar business but this location seemed to have so many more services. I went to get my fingerprints done. As I waited the older Indian lady said it would be $70, I thought that was a bit pricey but I was going to be reimbursed anyway. The younger Indian lady did my fingerprints and it did seem like she was trying. She only charged me $20 as well. My complaint is that I had to wait 6 week for my potential employer to call me and say that the department of justice never received my fingerprints and I'll have to redo them. They could have cost me a job! Be very careful where you go to get your prints done for a new employer! read more

I went there a few months back because I needed something mailed and didn't have any stamps. It was literally right around the corner, so I figured it was convenient enough to give them a shot. When I got there the lady told me that to send a letter would be 75 cents. Which I was shocked because the stamp only costs 43 cents (or was it 42 at the time). Anyway, I asked the lady why they charge 75 cents when the postage was only 43 cents. She looked at me like I had stolen something. She then said she would do it for 60 cents. To which I looked at HER like she stole something. I was about to walk away when she said she would do it for 50 cents and made the argument that I would probably spend more than the 7 cent difference on gas cost driving to a post office... what the hell kind of joint are they running over there? read more

Went in just after 4 and they were to busy talking and chatting they didn't even notice me. I said I want to drop this off for UPS to go out today. They both looked annoyed and said it's too late for today it won't go out until Monday then turned around and finished their conversation. No customer service at all. I have to be fair and say that I can't rate them on their services as I did not pay for any services nor goods there. I did however drop off a prepaid package for Fed Ex pickup. Much like a few others have said- I was greeted with a friendly smile at first by the older Indian lady, but then as soon as she realized that it was drop off only, her friendly demeanor was erased instantly. Isn't this one of the services that they can provide to the neighborhood? And by being friendlier- you would increase the likelihood of someone paying for goods/using services in the future. There was a new lady in there today and she charged me for using the internet the problem with that they have Never charged me before. And the cashier i previously mentioned her name was Young I asked her how long gave you been charging to use the computer she said 12 years.
