I've been using postal annex for over a decade. Bianca, Cindy and team are amazing. They're always so kind and helpful. I don't know how I haven't left them a Yelp until now. I'm embarrassed! But I'd rather be late than never. It's a bit bitter sweet writing this because I am moving out of the area and was so worried how I'll adjust without them! Throughout the years we've taken advantage of their services: lamination, copies in a pinch, last min gifts or greeting cards, passport photo pictures, etc!! They do it all. First class service across the board. Their pricing for a box is very competitive than other PAs in the area and their customer service makes it a no brainer (for us). Glacially slow, notably more expensive than the post office. $19 to send a very small, lightweight envelope with an inexpensive piece of jewelry might be reasonable if it was very convenient and quick. Ten minutes into the transaction we were no closer to generating a shipping label. Whether it was the cashier or the technology, clearly something is not working here. I took the same package to the post office and was only charged me eight dollars. Did Postal Annex lie when I was assured that these were regular USPS rates? Or was my time simply wasted there? I'll never know because I'll never go back. read more

Lady working said that they don't make receipts and they just have the packages out in the open by the door. Everytime I drop a package off here it always misses scans. read more

Got passport photos taken here for Canadian passport renewal. The application got rejected due to poor quality and glare on the forehead. It cost me $50 in shipping fees to receive and reapply. Never get passport photots taken here. read more

I'vebeen going here for about 12 of my shipments now and didn't realized this place was scamming me. Don't be fooled by the family shop. They will scam you....I was charged almost 43 dollars here for a 4 lbs box. When USPS weighed it for only 4lbs for $20 priority mail. Look at pictures. I took a pic and realized they put it as 17 lbs, when it's light as hell! It's basically feathers in there! Medical supplies that was wrapped individually so it needed a box box. Watch out neighbors... this family are pocketing the extra money! Drive further to usps . We all should report to bbb about this business. read more

Very friendly staff, but have had several packages go missing here over the last few months. Even with different carriers. Tons of small packages and letters have been fine, but a few higher dollar items I've mailed have never began tracking or made it to the shipper. Every time I've called, the staff has no clue and says to contact the shipment company (usps, ups, fedex etc.) a bit concerning, for some reason I kept going back, but it's been three separate occasions now. read more

Great service. They helped reduce my box size to save me $20 in shipping costs and gave me better packing materials for free.

The good: This is one of my go-to stops to drop off stuff for UPS or Fedex and to buy mailing supplies. There is plenty of parking here. My dad comes here a lot for his Amazon returns. The bad: The shop is pretty small and can be confusing when you first enter. There are signs everywhere so it is overwhelming if you're looking for something specific (i.e. UPS or Fedex drop-off area). For one of my Amazon returns, Amazon said I didn't need a box and that it'd be free for UPS to provide packaging but we had to pay here since it isn't actually UPS but they just take packages for UPS I guess. The interesting: One day after I decided I would eventually buy a back scratcher on Amazon, I came in here to drop off a Fedex package and saw that they sold tons of backscratchers in different sizes and colors. I got a green bear-claw retractable one for $4.99 (they had mini ones for $2.99 as well) and it has been wonderful and satisfying. My husband is happy that I no longer bug him as much to scratch my back. read more

The customer service folks here are nice, however, their operations is very poor. I went to the San Jose location to buy a stamp and had them mail an envelope to southern California. The content in this envelope was time critical. I contacted my friend to let them know he should receive the envelope within 1-2 days. After 1 week, my friend called me and said he didn't receive it yet. After 2 weeks, he called again and said still nothing. Finally, the envelope arrived after waiting 2.5 weeks! When he showed me the envelope, the postmark from the post office showed that this envelope went to Cincinnati, OHIO!! I was shocked! Totally unbelievable and unacceptable! Hence, do not mail things from here, just go to the U.S. post office instead. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR LIVESCAN FINGERPRINTING I made an appointment here for fingerprinting. When I showed up at the scheduled time, I was told the person who does the fingerprinting wasn't working that day. They told me that appointments don't matter, and I should come back another day when the person was available. What a waste of time! read more

Dropped off a package in a designation on the floor for packages labeled and ready to ship. Thought it was a little awkward to leave packages there so open to the general public where anyone could simply pick them up. I called Postal Annex, where I had left the package 2 days ago inquiring if she might have any knowledge of what might have had happened to the package, because it still didn't show my package received on tracking info, the lady was very rude and insulting. I wasn't accusing her of anything, just hoped she could give me suggestions (don't understand why some people are so rude in business. I had a business that was extremely busy for over 26 years, and I assure you, none of my customers could ever say I was rude, even under pressure) . I had even considered purchasing a mailbox there, glad I didn't. I never go to this location to leave packages for mailing, just happened I was in this area. I usually go to the location on San Felipe - EZ Mail to drop off packages. Been sending packages for many years. Never ever a problem (the packages are held behind the counter, not in the open), the guy there is friendly, and provides professional and courteous service. Check out his yelp. All 5 star ratings!! I have to resend the items my customer ordered that were left at Postal Annex, loss of money. Not blaming Postal Annex, things do happen. But she could have showed some concern, but showed anger. I come here often to drop off UPS and USPS mail/packages and have never had an issues with lost mail. Recently, I've had to use their notary service several times and it's always been a breeze. Note that the notary comes in a little later than PostalAnnex opens - around 10:30am. You can purchase all your mailing/packaging and postage here. They also have various gifts, trinkets and greeting cards available. The employees are all courteous, friendly and very helpful. read more

I agree with other reviews that say they overcharge. I had to mail out a bunch of mail for work .. they said postage is now .75 cents per first class letter which I know is a lie (it's $0.51). I know they have to charge a little bit extra since they're a third party but 1) they tried to lie and say that's the price of a stamp/postage 2) almost 50% mark up ? Oh come. I still had to use their service cause I was in a time crunch but unless I was desperate like I was this time, I would not give them my business again. I ah e use them for notary related business a couple times and it was fine, they're slow but gets it done. read more

I normally love coming to this location since it's convenient for me to ship things out and they normally have great shipping prices. However, this time I ended up paying 2x the price I would normally pay to ship out something within the US and for now big the box was ($40 label just to ship my package when I went to check USPS SELECT PARCEL is only $14?). My bf and I have sent out paintings at this location and it was cheaper than what I shipped out this time around. Sadly, we won't be returning here for their postal services. I tried to call to see if this price was correct but was told the manager isn't taking calls as they were busy. :( read more

Do not EVER, and, I mean EVER use this store for FedEX shipments. Postal Annex canceled the shipment of my son's college transcript two hours after I walked in, paid my money and was assured as I was walked out the door that the document would arrive at its destination the next morning. I went on line the next evening to track the package and received a notification that the shipment was cancelled by sender. Postal Annex printed and labeled the FedEx envelope, processed my credit card (which has no issues an plenty of available credit). This entire disaster is due to the 100% incompetence of this establishment. This could be one of the worst things that happened in my life. The transcript deadline for validating college acceptance was today. Hence, 12 years of education ruined by a Postal Annex clerk. Don't WALK, RUN from this establishment! read more
