I was just there today for much needed fingerprinting process and wish i had not. First off, the employee that helped me seemed annoyed and was on his phone attempting to seek help with his website from his support site. Multi tasking is impossible for this employee as I found him to bluntly respond to other customers walking in. I was "odered" not to look as he was actually attempting to take my fingerprints which required several attempts. He never even checked my 2 id forms, only asked me which ones I chose. After my signature, I asked where else to sign meaning the actual computer screen and then he asked me if I was him and then he proceeded to sign. Arrogant and condescending. read more

Obviously the one "review" here was posted by the company. Had fingerprinting done here and the results were completely unusable. Took WAY too long and burned up 2 hours of my work time (lost wages) Owner was rude and belligerent when we called to suggest there was a problem. Insisted there was NO problem that they had done "thousands". They won't refund your money or compensate you in any way. Had to get the cards done at another company who said they were aware of them as they get people who went there and had such a bad experience. Costly mistake, don't YOU make it! I will give PostalMax this, they are very clean and go out of their way to make sure everything is sanitized in their stores. I appreciate that they are taking fingerprint appointments during COVID. However, I don't plan on ever returning to this location again. The owner is standoffish and rude. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, but I had such an unpleasant experience here. He seemed almost angry that I was in his store to begin with. When taking my fingerprints, he was very gruff and commanded I stand and look a certain way. Again, not sure if this is protocol, but it made me very uncomfortable. I made the mistake of not looking correctly and was immediately scolded by him. Furthermore, he asked some polarizing questions (e.g., political views, stance on current events) that weren't necessary during the appointment. I was there for a service not to hear Michael's opinions. While I appreciate conversation, it was not pleasant conversation. I hope no one ever has the same experience that I had. read more

Been here twice. Once for finger prints, second time to try to ship something. For finger prints the owner was on the phone with his lawyer the whole time arguing with her. For shipping the lady working the desk just got done tossing someone's package to the ground when I walked in. Then I get a quote on shipping that's more than double anywhere else. I tell her I'll ship it somewhere else and she just walks off and I have to walk around the desk to get my own package back. I will never go back here. read more

There is another shipping store down the street from me but I drive an extra 5 minutes to go to Postal Maxx. I moved here 7 months ago from Chicago and I regularly send packages back home. Michael always greets me with a warm welcome, helps me figure out the best way to ship my items (I am clueless how to pack odd shaped bulky toys). He even used the software on his computer to show me a picture of the house I was sending it to, this gave me even more peace of mind actually seeing the house I was sending my gifts to. I greatly appreciated all the help I received and they now have another loyal customer :) read more

I recenetly left my keys in Phoenix, and I live in Dallas, TX. I called and spoke with Mike, the owner, and he was able to over night my keys for an affodable price. I went to mail a package today and was told that if I didn't give my address, phone number and email address to put into their system they would not mail my package. I mail through UPS and the general post office all the time and have never been told that I need to give my personal information to be logged into a system I order to mail something. The owner "claimed" that he would need to contact me if there was a problem with the package (yet my package had a return address label that should ensure that if there were a problem that it would be mailed back to me) but when I told him that I would provide an email address and that is all he said that would not suffice. I asked why he needed all of my personal information and if he was planning to sell it to a third party or add me to their mailing list (b/c I don't want any more junk mail, telemarketer phone calls, etc.) and he did not answer my question. He said rather, "Take Your Business Elsewhere," if you can't give me your personal information. I was appalled! I promptly went across the street to UPS who mailed my package without any of my information for their system with no problem-- MAILERS BEWARE! Do not go to this place! Would not recommend at all! And, the lady whom was "trying" to put my information into the system could not spell... I had to literally spell my name out three times before she understood and its a common name! read more

I went to Postalmax for their passport photo services. I called prior to going in for my passport photo, and was warned by the store owner to never get a passport photo done at a Walgreens, Costo, SAMS etc... due to the fact that "they were not a professional " as he claimed to be. He said I should come here to Postalmax to get the photo taken because if I went elsewhere I would be risking the chance that my passport photo would not be accepted. His fees for the photo were $20 (higher than everywhere else). Because I did not want to risk the photo being unacceptable by the state, I went to Postalmax. I took my photo to the Post Office in Fountain Hills along with all of my appropriate documentation. The postal worker, with whom you are required to make an appointment with just to get your passport mailed in, informed me that my passport photo taken by PostalMax was not acceptable. We had to re-take the photo and I had to pay an additional $15. I called Postalmax and told him of his unacceptable passport photo and asked for a refund. After a lengthy conversation, he would only refund $11.79. To me this is poor business. I should have received a full $20 refund. If his photography skills are that of a professional, which he claimed, then the passport photo should have been a decent photo, accepted by the State, However it was not. His dimly lit back room of the postalmax store, where he takes the passport photos, should have been a red flag that he was not a professional!!! I trusted his age for experience! Don't waste your time or money with this guy! You are better off going to Walgreens Costco SAMS or the Post office!! Cheaper and Professional!!! read more

I realized that I needed to renew my fingerprint clearance card and I wanted it done quickly. On a Saturday, PostalMax of Scottsdale was able to take my prints and complete my application. It was quick and easy and I was assured that my application would be mailed in by noon the same day. I did not have any wait and I would definitely return again. The IVP services cost $35 for teachers. The owner was very friendly and competent. read more

I took my three small children in to get fingerprinted for a Child Safe Kit. My children are one, four, and six years old. The owner did the fingerprinting himself and did a fabulous job. I hate to bad review this place but I feel I owe it to the universe!!! While I had pleasant experiences with the staff, I have NEVER had items returned to me for insufficient postage from any outlet I have ever used in 30+ years of adulthood. Yet I managed to have this experience with PostalMax twice! Yes 2x my mail was returned to me after paying a premium for them to get it right, twice!!! Better yet, the mail I was attempting to send???? An amendment to my AZ taxes! Thanks a lot, not good. You need a much better, more accurate and reliable system. read more

Came in to get finger prints done. Michael was very rude, made me feel quite uncomfortable. Would have left and went else where but I was curious to see if his customer service would get better, I was wrong and left there feeling a bit disturbed about some of the comments he had made while I was there. Service took long and prices are high. I left that place as one unhappy customer. Went there today to get fingerprinted. The guy there was totally rude and inpatient. He had one customer infrint of me that needed a photo and this was stressing him out! He told me it would be awhile before he could get to me and was downright rude. While in Postal Max on FLW, I picked up a dusty packing envelope, clearly marked with red pricing tape, as being $2.15. However, once at the counter the manager told me the item was $3.15. When I replied and showed him the price marked on the package(I wasn't rude) that the price marked was $2.15, he informed me rather rudely that is was $3.15 and I couldn't read correctly. Since there was a line, I payed for the item and left. I will never set foot in this place again and i will also inform others not to as well. I have never had a problem at the UPS store on Via Linda and am more than happy to pay more for better service.. read more

Zero star if it was possible. The first time I came to this location there was a woman at the counter who was very nice and helpful. Today I came in to simply buy stamps and ask a question about mailing out a package with weight. The male at the counter ignored me as I came in which was the first bad feeling of this incounter. While I waited patiently as he finished up with what he was doing on the computer a customer came in and he greated her. He finished up what he was doing and then before asking me what I neeeded help with grabbed my mail and said how are you sending it. I then proceeded with the question came in to ask and was inturuped as he was telling the customer who came in goodbye I ignored this and then continued with my question only to me completely ignored. He did not make eye contact with me what so ever. He then asked me why I wanted to send my mail that way and that it makes more sense to have them send it out. I felt as if he thought I was stupid or incompetent when i told him I was only there to purchase stamps. I then felt I needed to take my business elsewhere and told him he was very rude. He then told me to leave him alone and I walked out he door. This was the worst customer service I've ever received when simply trying to send mail. I only used this location because it was close to my work but I will never give them business again after being treated so poorly as a paying customer. Horrible customer service. If he was having a bad day it happens but leave your s*** at the door and do your job the right way. read more
