First time dining here. Decided to have dinner here to celebrate my husband birthday. I made reservations about 2 hrs before the visit. Arrived and was seated immediately. We started with the calamari. The taste was decent; however, they filled the bottom of the plate with the dipping sauce and they included fried lemons. Not really a fan. We ordered the salmon, trout, succotash and scallop potatoes. The trout had no seasoning and the potatoes were really salty. When asked how was our food, we informed the waiter that the potatoes were very salty and he said there's a layer of Parmesan cheese on top that made it salty. The manager came over and we shared the same feedback m, he asked if we had high blood pressure and was the salt going to do something? No funny and a pretty dumb ass response. They also served us really cold/nasty sourdough bread The service was slow and food was just okay. Likely won't be back for the price/service.

This is a restaurant located in the bowl community of Ballentine. You can park in the street parking or the shared lots. It's apparently a chain restaurant the menu is limited. We had the calamari as an appetizer which was salty. A cook was just too heavy handed with the salt. My burger and onion rings were salty as well, however I really did like the mimosa that I was able to create. It wasn't on the menu. They use some of their pear juice, which made it quite delicious. Will definitely come back for that again. The waiter was professional. The restrooms were clean. Overall, there was nothing that released stood out about my experience. It seems to be a very popular place.

Man Listen. I love this place! I find myself at their bar for dinner and drinks at least once a week. However (Stephen A voice). I decided to be adventurous an order their $75 ribeye. Quite possibly the worst ribeye I've ever had -including that time I ordered one at a local sports bar. I asked for medium and got a rare steak. They took the steak back and brought it back out at medium rare. I ate it that way because I hate sending food back. It had absolutely no flavor. Zero. It's a 15oz steak and 8.5oz was fat. I was charged $4 for adding butter to the steak. That is what it is I guess. I could go on but you get the point. The au gratin was solid and as always the staff was amazing.

Consistently good. I'm so glad this spot is in the Bowl. Kelly C took care of us tonight and she was great. The Bacchus Cabernet Sauvignon is a must try. Because I started with red wine, I decided to try the short ribs to go with it. That was the perfect choice. I didn't need a knife to cut these extremely tender short ribs. We had macaroni and cheese and collard greens. Both were amazing.

The hubby and I stopped in during the week for a spontaneous date night dinner. This was his first time and my second but it's been years since then. Well we opted for the Mac and cheese and the onion rings for appetizers. The Mac was okay but a little too watery versus creamy. The onion rings are shoestring thin and they come in a big pile. They were tasty but a lil too salty and limp. We added the onion rings to the Mac and cheese and it was perfect. For entrees I had the trout and he got the wings. The trout was beautifully plated but overly salty. My hubs liked the wings and the ranch dressing. Drinks were good. I had an old fashioned but inky b/c the whiskey selection is limited for sipping. All in all this is a great spot for dinner, drinks and ppl watching out on the patio. We'll definitely come back and try more menu items.

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. We were able to make last minute reservations. The meals are all a la carte. Everything ordered was tasty. Our server Melissa was great. She remembered our orders, kept our glasses filled and kept checking on our table. The salad was the most delicious and the anchovies on top gave them the right amount of flavor and saltiness. The fried oysters were crispy outside and tender inside. The Chicken was cooked to perfection. The succotash and mashed potatoes took me back to my childhood. My mother used to cook that for my father on Sundays. Everything we all ordered was delicious. I'll come back for the seared scallops or sea bass next time. The apple butter pie wasn't sweet but it was good! I'd order it again.

I waited until our 2nd visit which was only a week after our 1st to review. Our lunch server was fantastic. She provided recommendations and told us that because the pizza station was on the other side of the kitchen, it may come out before or after the others entrees. Dinner server was okay. I mentioned I wanted my salmon medium. It was dimly lit so I didn't realize it was actually more raw the closer to the center I ate until it was just raw. She asked if I wanted to box it up. When I mentioned I didn't because it was raw, she said she forgot to tell me to get it medium well because the kitchen was still figuring out temperatures. Lunch - chicken pizza. I don't know what herb or spice is on it but it was less than appetizing. It tasted like an overdose of cumin. It's large enough to share between 3 women. I suggest a bbq pizza w/a bbq base and role the bbq chicken in it. The fries at lunch left a lot to be desired. In some cases, it was not totally fried. Double dunk'em. Onion rings are like Noble Smoke. Those are to die for. I could eat those all day. It's a new location so there are some kinks to work out like shades on the top windows - multiple tables wore their sunglasses the whole time, my dining companion could not find a spot at one point that wasn't blinding her. The layout I feel bad for their servers it's not the easiest to navigate and lots of sharp angles for patrons to walk to the restroom and collide with wait staff. During the day, blinding and at night very dim so I couldn't tell how my fish was cooked. There must be a happy medium. After it works out some of the kinks, Roosters will be a welcome addition to the Bowl.

Our first time trying & absolutely no disappointments. We had the lamb meatballs as an appetizer and although the portion appeared small at first, the quality and taste made it worth every penny. Their pizza was the best I've had. My husband got the lamb sirloin and he loved it. The green circle chicken was tender, juicy & flavorful. We were celebrating my MIL'S birthday and had the hazelnut cake & coconut cake. Best desserts that I've had in a long while. Kim was our server and she was a 10 all the way around. Super pleasant, very knowledgeable on the menu and extremely attentive. The ambiance is casual yet nice enough to take a date or celebrate a holiday. We can't wait to go back and try more menu items!

Service is excellent! Ambiance is chill and food was delish. The smoked wings were surprisingly amazing, will come back just for those really. The scallops were equally delish, and so was the brisket and scalloped potatoes. Wine and cocktails were on point! Great spot for a date night or meet up with friends.

A little putting with my sister.

Service was very attentive from the server to the management. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and seemingly enjoying their time at work. The food was equally good. I wasn't very hungry so I just got the coconut cake while my sister enjoyed her first Roosters experience with sampling a few things from the menu. She said the salad was well prepared. The burrata hit the spot and the calamari was tasty. All in all a Sunday afternoon outing amongst sisters.

The food is over the moon delicious with plenty of options and reasonable serving sizes. Even with the slightly high price point, it is well worth every penny. And they take allergies SO seriously! Literally went through a bunch of ingredients to find what would and wouldn't be dairy-allergy safe. Atmosphere is fun but cozy, too. 100% recommend! In-depth: Postino has quickly become one of my favorite places in the CLT area after my 10/10 experience here. To start, the food. My word, it's amazing! Everything my friend and I tried was delicious. The bruschetta is 100% worth trying (the spinach artichoke one is my favorite), and the west coaster panini + romaine salad was tasty at every bite. Their wine is also good quality, with a decent-sized portion poured. Allergy safety is a major thing for them, too. Our server (Lee = the best waitress!) and her manager looked through their bread and ingredients for about 30 minutes to confirm what was and wasn't dairy safe (I asked how dairy allergies are handled for when I bring my husband next time). They also had quite a few gluten-free options, too. The manager explained that she wants people to be able to just come in and relax for a few hours without worrying if they'll get sick, which I truly, truly appreciate. Lee shared a similar sentiment, which was amazing. Now price... Yes, it is a *bit* pricey, but it is well worth it. Nothing felt lacking as far as flavor goes, and the allergy safety is a huge thing. This is one of the few places I felt my sandwich and salad were worth every penny, even if it was $17. Also, their rewards program is great. I got a free bruschetta board, and they offer several other perks. Make sure to sign up before or while dining there to get some good deals! In addition to their sincere care for allergy safety, the service is fantastic all around. They do group service, meaning you'll have several servers, and they encourage you to grab anyone if you have questions. This takes the pressure off of waiting for one server to walk by and really helped me relax. And the atmosphere? I could stay there all day! It's a really fun vibe, but the lighting and seating are very cozy. Overall, I've already recommended this place to 5+ people and will be returning soon

The staff was amazing and I was astounded by their dedication to their craft. The best part was the food. We started with the chefs board which had an array of cheeses and spreads. The most memorable was the whipped feta. OMG. The Ambiance was the only thing I feel could use some tuning as there's not enough sound deadening to make the music out? It sounds like a heart beat and makes it hard to make out conversations. Major shout out to Leigh for taking care of us all night and making it a memorable night. Our group of 11 experienced good service at the beginning, but it fizzled after drinks were served. The food was quite delightful and the ambiance was perfect for a birthday. As for the food, salmon was served well done and we were not asked how we like it prepared therefore several people felt it was overcooked, Overall taste was good but you should request blackened if hoping for more flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the burrata salad. It's simple yet the drizzle elevates the tomato and bread effortlessly. Everyone was pleased. My only request is to train the staff on how to split the birthday meal across checks. Most restaurants have an easy way to do this.

Server was Michael B. who knows the menu and how things are put together and took good care of us in pacing our orders. You will not order drinks and appetizers and your main dishes and get them all at once. Remind you server to do as Michael did: wait until the table is generally finished with one course before bringing out another. We had the grilled artichoke ($16) which was excellent with a light garlic dip. Went well with too expensive glasses of wine, which the pricing is just way out of bounds, management. Duckhorn SB was $20 per glass and the Super Tuscan was $22.50. In the future we will pass on the wine. Wife had the Chicken Pesto at $24, which she liked but got tired of the pesto taste. I had a super excellent Spicy Rigatoni Vodka at $24.50 which we both sort of went crazy for. It was so flavorful and the generous portion meant that we took some home. Highly recommend this pasta dish. Aside from the over-priced wines, you will get your money-worth on the food and service. Bring friends and family. But make reservations as this restaurant is becoming very popular.
