I made a reservation same-day on a Friday and the only options left for dinner were 8:45PM or later, which is pretty late for us. We arrived at the restaurant around 7PM and luckily two seats opened up at the bar. We sat in the corner and were greeted by Kevin and Stephen, both bartending and taking orders. The bar was packed full and very busy but the service was still exceptional. I loved the ambiance at this steakhouse- moody, dim lighting, a lot of black, and I liked the decor. It felt like a very classic steakhouse. We started off with Manhattans and a wedge salad. For dinner I had the filet, medium-rare and we shared the whipped potatoes and broccolini. We also ordered a side of the house made steak sauce. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie. My filet was amazing! Cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The steak sauce was also good but not necessary for the steak. The whipped potatoes and wedge salad were also great. The potatoes were buttery and tasted like something my mom used to make! The broccolini was a little too overpowering with garlic, so we didn't eat much of it. They key lime pie was good and unique. Made with passion fruit and served with kiwis and whipped cream on top. Overall, I had a wonderful classic steakhouse experience and highly recommend this place if you're looking for an exceptional steak. read more

We started with the Caesar salad (with homemade dressing) and bread & butter. Followed by trio of steaks, shared amongst 7 adults. We tried two of the sides too, which were ok. Arrived 30 minutes early and the host was nice enough to check if he could seat us early. They were full so he could not but we still ended up with a table about 10 minutes prior to our reservation time. The service was amazing, we were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us some champagne on the house. I had the Waygu flatiron and my husband had the ribeye, we asked for medium and they both came out medium rare but it was not the end of the world. The fries were phenomenal but the broccoli rabe was extremely bitter. The horse radish cream sauce was exceptional and the waitress suggested we dip our fries in it which was absolutely amazing! My husband and I came here on a whim on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. We could not have been more pleased! The bartenders gave great recommendations (table side Caesar is a must!) and were super friendly. The filet mignon was fantastic and was cooked perfectly. When I arrived I wished they had a more extensive by the glass wine list but I was not disappointed with the Chardonnay I had (and I'm a little picky). Located near Pearl Street in Boulder, CO the building is easy to find and boasts an elegantly decorated interior and warmly lit which sets an intimate and inviting tone that carries throughout your meal. The meal will be on the pricier side, but is reflected with the quality of culinary offerings and high level of service you receive. One of my most enjoyed meals of 2025! This place is something special. Steakhouse No. 316 is a restaurant we go to when we want to treat ourselves or celebrate a special occasion. It's such an elegant place. The red booths, the dark wood, the mood lighting - it makes you feel like you have traveled into the past - it almost has a speakeasy feel. The food is just amazing. The herbed butter and the freshly baked bread were delicious. We LOVE the table side Caesar's salad! Watching this salad being prepared feels like watching a piece of art come to life. The steaks are perfectly cooked. There are some truly yummy sides to choose from. Our favorite is the Loaded Twice Baked Potato. The Key Lime Pie is sublime! Place fells like an intimate speakeasy. Our server was friendly, attentive and made some great recommendations. Dirty Martini was yummy! Wedge Salad was okay, could have been more robust dressing. Porterhouse for 2 was a big hit! Cooked to perfection and a great cut. The sides were fantastic with the Haricots Bert and Mashed Potato being the favorites. Great place. Has the look and feel of a classic western steak place. Service was very good; there were plenty of people taking care of the floor. Starting with the bread service, they provided an excellent butter. The wine list was not huge but had a proper variety. There were fun and interesting cocktails and some fine bourbon on pour. Our server was really knowledgeable about both steak and wine - I had neither but my companions considered her recommendations excellent. The tableside Caesar salad was a neat presentation and sooo good. A triple size was more than enough for I've people. The arctic char was delicious and the fries were fabulous (I think they were done in duck fat, which did not jibe with my vegetarianism, but I had a few before I knew and yum). I chose the Truffle Gnocchi side as my dinner, but sadly I didn't like it. I was torn between that and the risotto and after tasting my friend's dish I wish I had gone with the risotto. It's not that the gnocchi was bad, just too "truffle-forward" for my tastes. Maybe cooked a bit too long, also. I know, I know. It is a STEAK house... We brought my husband's guests from Asia for a business dinner here. First the good stuff. The service was excellent and the restaurant is lovely, but a warning: it's very loud. Between the general acoustics and the loud music, we had a hard time hearing each other. One of our guests also complained about the lack of lighting; we were okay, but I noticed other tables using their phones to read the menu, so he wasn't the only one. Now to the food. The standouts were the fried green tomato with truffle burrata and the table side Caesar salad. They were not to be missed. I also enjoyed the frog legs. I had scallops and everyone else had steaks. My scallops were good and cooked well, but they were very small and quite overpowered by the sauce. Not worth the price honestly. People said the cuts of meat were excellent but over seasoned. Our waitress Riley kicked butt she gave some great insight on the menu and provided great service the entire time 5 star service from her and the team that worked to ensure our experience was awesome for date night with the wife. We started out with the Cesar salad table side and it was delicious. A must have at the restaurant definitely a recommendation. Wifey ordered 8oz sirloin with crab Oscar on top. Perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the Butchers special recommendation from Riley. It was delicious the photo does it no justice but it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our meal was ridiculously expensive. $24/person for a smallish Caesar salad. Albeit table side, but seriously?! Keep in mind, there is no protein in this salad, outside of a couple 2" anchovies. Over priced cocktails as well. Two drinks were $40+. Food was delicious, no doubt. Very nice atmosphere and vibe but the service felt like it was more about building a high check total and earning a commission, than it was about creating a lovely dining experience and a returning customer. read more

I've had 16 addresses since leaving the nest. Getting my folks to explore with me has been a real challenge, but they've dropped in PDX, Las Vegas, & now Boulder! Their trip was short but I had to take them to Avanti Boulder for the views & beers, up Flagstaff road I dream of climbing on my Cervelo, & a 15 yard penalty hike in Chautauqua Park. I call it a penalty because I swore to them we wouldn't climb a 14er like I did with my sister her first time here. It was the last time she ever used hiking shoes. We made a memory! My niece still claims that's her hardest achievement to date. Now I'm sure you want to know where this foodie took them to feast? Steak and bougie cocktails rank on my top spots especially for folks who are not into omakase. I also love circular tables for larger parties because no one is stuck on the corner. Vegas was the best at this so far! After experiencing Steakhouse 316 for dessert & bourbon, I knew I had to take my family. Portions of our feast included the frog legs, caesar salad, duck confit, oysters, & of course the largest tomahawk on the menu. I'll never forget the waiter challenging me on temp. I rarely go against my gut, but my buddy looks at me & goes, "at this place, let's trust the chef's recommendation." It was one of the best, easily top 3, full flavored perfectly prepared cuts of tasty tasty beef I've ever had. It was a perfect night, I'll never forget. Everything here was unbelievable! I went over Christmas with my family and everything was scrumptious. To start, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half shell. Our waiter informed us that we had to order our appetizer and meals together per the restaurant policy. Not a big deal but we were starving and had no idea what we wanted as our meal so that caused a little hiccup. For my meal, I got the scallops which were a little too salty but other than that they were delightful. My family got a strip, ribeye and whatever the chefs special (believe it was fish) was. It's very hard to impress my family with steak since my dad breeds cattle for meat. They were all thoroughly impressed with their meals as well. This is an incredible, upscale restaurant that evokes memories of a "fancier, more formal time in dining." The reason for my lack of a fifth star will be revealed in the final paragraph. So reader, please... do proceed... Every classy dining establishment does benefit from having a well-managed Coat Check. That was a nice and unexpected surprise. The bar was extremely well-tended and outstanding specialty cocktails were made without hesitation or (ahem) complaint. So many times I have heard bartenders express discontent about making certain concoctions. It was wonderful to only hear positivity in this regard. There was a bit of an odd delay in the service of the four people in our party while waiting at the bar. Two of us ordered and received drinks within the first ten minutes. There was a delay in getting the attention for the remainder in our party; however, that was remedied within the next five to ten minutes. The bar was full. We did arrive before our reservation and were told to check back in twenty minutes. It seemed as though at least fifty minutes had passed. We were told "something" about the kitchen being backed up; however, we could be seated ... it almost seemed as though the host forgot that we were given the option to return in twenty minutes. I think we felt as though if it wasn't possible to be accommodated for an earlier time, it would have been helpful to been told upfront. Also, we spent at least $150 at the bar while waiting. We were celebrating my stepson's birthday and told the host, server etc that this was a special night for us. Our server was extremely attentive through the first 2/3 of our appetizers and meal. We had the Caesar Salad prepared table side which was truly a special treat. My stepson's girlfriend enjoyed the French onion soup (although it lacked in the cheese department). The men ordered the lobster bisque. It was eighteen dollars. Lobster was $24 or $40 extra (sorry it's a blur now). The bread was incredible as the salted fresh cream herb butter. The steaks and sides were delicious, especially the truffle Mac and cheese and the mushrooms. We were discouraged from ordering one of the desserts because of the fifteen minute prep time. We ended up sharing a huge, delicious portion of bread pudding with lots of caramel sauce. All night we watched small birthday desserts with candles being brought to diners. The bread pudding arrived sans candle. I honestly thought we would have received an individual birthday treat. We even reminded the servers prior to dessert. After we were halfway through the bread pudding, our server came out with a candle in a little sauce cup. (See photo). She said she didn't want to put a candle in the bread pudding because we were sharing it and it was not hygienic. This was understandable. It was all somewhat puzzling because we did spend a significant amount of money on this special dinner and it seemed as though we were annoying the servers at the end if the evening. We wanted to have a special night out so chose Steakhouse No. 316 and we were some happy eaters that night. The restaurant has a retro feel with dark colors and red seats. I ordered the bone in ribeye and my guest had the halibut. The ribeye was delicious but not as fatty as I would like for it to have been. I eat steak whenever I get the chance and I would rate this a 7 out of 10. Good but not top notch and at their prices I would expect a 9 or 10 self rating. My guest loved her halibut and I had a bit as well and it was definitely butterty and cooked perfectly. One of the highlights was the table side Cesar and it was truly a great salad. I would certainly order the Cesar again! The staff and service were truly amazing and that was a 9 out of 10 for me. Maybe next time get the ribeye cap instead of the bone in ribeye! For starters, the decor makes you feel like you're in a sexy vintage speakeasy with deep reds and black walls and tons of really interesting time Pieces scattered around the booths & tables. Even the bathrooms are nice. The service was ON POINT. We had Riley as our server and she was great, super on top of everything and a great sense of humor. She made us feel right at home. Now for the best part - THE FOOD. We started off with the table side Caesar and all I can say is DO IT. Best Caesar I've ever had and super cool to watch how it's made. Next we had the French onion soup (may be the best I've had NGL), tower of onion rings (delicious, perfect crust while being juicy and tender inside and paired with ketchup and house made steak sauce), pork belly (packed with flavor and melted in your mouth), and the halibut ceviche (bright, citrus flavor and super fresh). Almost forgot - they also give warm bread with delicious creamy butter to start. The star of the show however were the STEAKS. I had the cowboy ribeye (MR) and OMG I believe this was the best steak I've had to date. Perfect savory, crispy crusting and the meat was tender as all hell - I LOVED IT. My first bite I said "this would convert a vegetarian it's so damn good." My husband and our friends got the wagyu and that also was delicious although I did prefer my ribeye. I topped it with caramelized onions and we got the truffle butter and blue cheese on the side - BANGIN. We wanted the creamed spinach but they were out so we had the asparagus and twice baked potato - both very good. We also had the Old Earl cocktail (basically an old fashioned with Earl grey syrup - amazing) and finished with 3 scoops of ice cream. We were so full and wanted to try more desserts but settled for the vanilla, peanut butter, and a coffee crunch scoop which were all super tasty. First of all, the wait staff was great. Second, be aware, this restaurant is very expensive. Third, it wasn't as good as it was the first time we went, last year. Now, for specifics: the martini was on the skimpy side--seems to be the norm now in Boulder; the mussels and frites were very good and the frites are generous, so don't order a second one with dinner; the rack of lamb was 3 small chops with a delicious coating; the tomahawk ribeye for two was also delicious; the Kansas City strip was tough; the asparagus was not worth eating. If you are seated in the front of the restaurant and the sun is coming through the window DO NOT EXPECT THE MANAGER TO LOWER THE BLIND! Promises, promises to do so and it never happened. We had 8:30p reservations graduation weekend and weren't seated until closer to 9p bc the hostess told us they were preparing a "special" table. The table was fine certainly no different than any others it was a little silly to be making this up as excuse for seating us so late. We were a table of 3 surrounded by larger parties and ignored a good part of the meal. I had to ask multiple times if we could place our order at one point pulling over a manager to please find our server who just kept telling us "I'll be right with you" when we tried to get her attention for anything (bread, water, question, etc. ) and we aren't needy diners. The table side caesar salad which is $$$$$ was one of the worst I ever had and we have had many made table side. It was basically a very heavy mustard dressing saturating the lettuce and so salty we could not eat it. None of us wanted to make a big deal of anything bc it was a celebratory dinner and we didn't want to ruin the vibe. Meals were fine nothing special. I understand graduation weekend puts added pressure on restaurant workers but this experience was incredibly sub-par especially for what we paid. Very disappointed. read more

Celebrated my birthday here on a busy saturday evening! It was very classy inside, I loved the decor and the overall vibe. Definitely a steakhouse from Aspen. We started with the tableside caesar, which was run of the mill honestly, but we enjoyed it. If you order anything to start, get the caviar! To die for, the folded potato that came with it was sooo delicious with the crème fraîche and salty caviar. Probably my favorite part of the meal. My partner got the chef or kings cut of ribeye, he enjoyed it, it was cooked to his liking. I don't love steak, so we ordered the onion rings, the potatoes pavé, and the truffle mac and cheese. They were all very good, but nothing was super standout honestly. This is great spot for a date night if you love steak, sides seems to be a bit lacking.
