I had high hopes based on all the reviews I read but was disappointed. The tacos (I ordered chicken, pork, and shrimp) were not that good and overpriced. The nacho chips were overly greasy. One of our servers incessantly interrupted our table's conversations to ask if we wanted to order anything else. I don't mind getting checked in on once in a while but over 5 times in the span of about an hour was a little much. The silver coin margarita was decent, so a star for that. The ambiance was casual. So the food is great. We started out with guacamole and chips. I don't particularly like guacamole but this was fantastic. Lots of flavor and fresh, warm chips. The tacos were very flavorful. I had cojita, barbacoa and carnitas. They were all delightfully spicy. I liked the cojita the best. Service was friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. My only complaint was that the bathroom could have used some attention and the floor was sticky. Also, a note for people with sensory issues: this place is LOUD. The acoustics are such that the music is intense and it's very hard to hear. Great and fun spot for a group on taco Tuesday (and great deals)! It gets pretty busy, so definitely make a reservation before coming. They have nice outdoor seating for good days. We hosted our son and his roommates graduation party at T/aco, and it couldn't have been a better experience. Everything--from the margaritas to the tacos--was absolutely delicious. Our server, Boden, was incredibly helpful and accommodating; she even assisted us with setting up our graduation decorations. T/aco is a popular casual taqueria in Boulder, especially on Taco Tuesday. I'd heard of their strong margaritas and yes, they deliver! We went recently with another couple on a Tuesday night. The place was packed, with a 30-minute wait and no space to hang out. Unfortunately, you can't order a drink while waiting, since alcoholic beverages aren't allowed on the sidewalk. I get that it's a rule they can't control, but still, it's too bad. The space is fairly small and very loud, not ideal for conversation, but I suppose you don't go there to philosophize. The hostess and our server were very friendly, despite the hectic night. The house marg is too sweet for me but my husband loves it that way; the coin is perfect, and definitely strong! We started with a salsa trio, which was very good. The guac could have used a little less salt and more spice, but it was still satisfying. The tacos are yummy and generously filled, and the Taco Tuesday price can't be beat. They are served on a tray for the entire table, which looks cool but makes it a bit tricky to figure out which is which, especially when it's so loud you can't hear the waiter. Decent restaurant with really good taco Tuesday prices. I had the Buffalo chicken, Barbacoa, and cheese with steak. The chicken and Barbacoa was dry. The chicken one was interesting and had a pretty good spice to it. The cheese with added steak was probably the best but I wish the cheese was crunchy for a different texture since their tortillas were super flimsy and not great. The chips and Queso was pretty good, the Queso texture was a bit too thick and seized up even though it was still hot. Service was ok, they were super busy though. This place has a very cool atmosphere and a great vibe with just the people, the music and the inside decor. It's kind of divey but not if that makes sense. I met up w some old high school friends. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and the portion was enough for 3 people. It's was very cheesy and tasted okay, it definitely could use some more seasonings! For our appetizer we got the chips queso and three different salsas. I really liked it a lot. Our server Kevin was beyond amazing and just such great customer service. We had a few hiccups but he IMMEDIATELY rectified it. Overall a cool place but I probably won't be back just cause I'm super picky w my Mexican food. But great atmosphere. Partner and I just got back from a long camping trip in Baja Mexico. Had a blast and ate lots of street food, etc. for variety and quality, T/aco has Baja beat in my opinion. Tacos were not good here. The cojita supposed to be grilled cheese, it came cold and it was a frisbee cheese sitting on the top- making it hard to even fold the taco. Shrimp was mushy and not fresh. The chicken was dry. The mushrooms did not even taste like mushrooms. It was a mushy spinach consistency. Everything was not fresh made to order. A fabulous little restaurant featuring great tacos in both an indoor and outdoor setting. Parking nearby can be a little tough, but the parking garage across the street is inexpensive. We had fish, duck and carnitas tacos, and all were wonderful, and each quite different from the other. High quality ingredients, great flavor combinations, and a varied menu -- this is about as good as it gets. The duck was amazing, the carnitas had a great combination of pork, pineapple and veggies, and the fish tacos were good too.
