Anxiously waited for Postino to open in Tucson since we'd been to the Scottsdale location. We were fortunate to go to soft opening. All I can say is WOW! Complimentary food with 2 drinks per person was awesome. We tried butcher block, every bruschetta, meatballs, and 3 desserts. Service was wonderful. Melissa took great care of us, but we had numerous others checking to make sure we were taken care of. Location is just right being across from Culinary Dropout and next door to Snooze (opening soon). Went for second time and had 1/2 panini and salad. Amber was our server and was great! I keep coming here. Once every weekend. They have messed up my order the two previous times so now it's three weekends in a row. At first my food was just cold twice, no big deal easy fix the food is good. Today I got the most degenerate employee, Jackson, I have ever gotten at any restaurant . I have a flu so I decide to go in and get some soup, my girlfriend gets her food and we've been waiting for 30 minutes. I'm not feeling the greatest but the idea of soup is keeping me alive. The soup doesn't come, 5 minutes later Jackson comes out and asks how everything is going, I ask where my soup is. He then asks me if I got some other kind of soup, not the one I had gotten. When I ask for the one I had gotten he told me they had been out for hours. We left immediately and I will not be coming back I have never been more disappointed in any establishment. Yesterday, my husband and I decided to enjoy Sunday Funday with a bit of brunching, so we decided on Postino because it usually offers great food and yummy mimosas/ wine. We decided to get a couple of different food items, which included their grilled cheese and a charcuterie board. Everything was quite tasty and we washed it down with wine and champagne. However, feeling a bit snacky afterwards we decided to get a midday crème brûlée. I love crème brûlée so I was pretty excited to taste theirs. Unfortunately when it arrived to the table, the sugar was visibly burnt. We figured it might not taste as bad as it looked and tried to eat it, but it was quite bitter from the burnt sugar. We opted to scrape the sugar off and just eat the custard. I'm sure if I brought this up to the server, they would have happily replaced it, but at that point we were drunk and not that concerned so we just made a note of it. Everything else was delicious, so it's a bummer the crème brûlée didn't match. I think next time we will order the monkey bread, as it appeared that several people around were eating it and it looked really good...and not burnt lol. All in all I give them 4.5 stars... it's a great place and we will be back! read more

The bruschetta boards are delicious no matter what option you choose. I also like how there is outdoor patio space and the restaurant opens up an entire wall which makes it more covid safe to me. However, was very disappointed with the portion of the Brussels sprout kale salad I received tonight. $11 for what turned out to be a side salad portion. Expected more for the price. read more

I love Postino, and I am happy to finally have one in Tucson. It can definitely get a little pricey, but at least you get what you pay for. I have never had something off the food menu that I didn't enjoy, and there are lots of wine and cocktails to pick from. The vibe of this place is dark and intimate, so it is fun to come later in the evenings, however, I know the drink specials happen before 5. This is my second visit, the first was on opening day. Don't know why I waited so long, the food here is really magical, especially since my companion is gluten intolerant. There is something for everyone here, paninis, bruschettas of plenty, and wonderful boards. We started with sweet potato fries served with a Calabrian Chile/Cheese dipping sauce. The flavors truly complimented each other, and the black sesame seeds on the fries added a beautiful color contrast as well as a subtle crunch. The whole roasted cauliflower with Romesco is always my favorite. Topped with golden raisins and sliced garlic, I made this my main course and was truly satisfied. Bruschettas are plentiful and imaginative. It's a nice option to be able to mix and match and try the variety offered, and gluten-free diners can rejoice. The patio has ample space, and heaters made it very comfortable on this chilly day in the 50s. Next time, I won't wait so long for my return visit. read more

I have been going to the Tucson location since they open right before COVID shut down in March of 2020. Recently I have noticed some of the items have changed on their menu and it's not the same quality of food. The bounty use to be my favorite and I enjoyed the brussle sprouts, however they are no longer cook the same way. I'm pretty disappointed at the decline of the food. read more

Postino is an awesome place for dates or meeting up with friends. The boards are their claim to fame, but the rest of the menu merits a try. They offer gluten-free options, which is nice. Their GF bread is pretty good. Their happy hour is a great deal for beer and wine, but it ends at 5, which is my biggest complaint. People who work until 5 are thirsty too. Let me start by saying I am industry and always try to be as understanding in the details where other guests may not be. My experience today was completely bewildering and felt I had to detail it. Guest and I arrived as first time diners, excited to try out the hot new restaurant in the area. After being sat, we waited at least 10 minutes for our server to arrive with waters and take our drink order. Another 10 minutes go by before the manager brings over our 2 pitchers and sets them on the table. He sees we are missing glassware and says he will be right back. He comes back with our glasses and says, "Sorry they are not chilled, we are very busy right now." I grab my glass and it is not only not chilled, but straight out of the dishwasher hot. This to me was as disappointing as it gets. Shows laziness, lack of care for the product going in front of your guest, and no sense of ownership. To cool our glasses, my guest and I poured our waters into the hot glasses to at least get them down to room temperature before pouring our beers. Next, another 20 minutes goes by and our server has yet to come by our table to check on us or take our food order. After 40 minutes now, we decided we'd be better off going to another restaurant and getting food. We made eye contact with our server and made the universal sign for 'Check please'. 10 more minutes later we signed our check and left, going across the street to Culinary Dropout for our meal. It was beginning to end an awful experience. We came in wanting to give Postino's our money, only to be ignored and treated with little to no care. Instead another company got our business and we enjoyed our lunch there. In these COVID times, I believe it's important to be as understanding when restaurants are having a tough shift. Today however this experience went beyond being understanding and instead making a guest feel unwelcome and unsure about ever returning. read more

We have eaten here five times now. The atmosphere here is very nice. The lighting is pretty--dark and very romantic. The wines are good. However, the food is average to below average. For one example, it is obvious that they don't taste their fruit below they serve it to you--the apples have no flavor and other fruits are not served ripe. The salads are small and expensive. Their tuna is not top quality. We have tried pretty much everything on their menu and nothing is that great. Go for the pretty interior or sit on their sterile patio overlooking the parking lot, have a nice glass of wine, and just don't expect much from the flavor, quality, and variety of the food. read more

4th of July...slow day there. Nice and quiet. We sat at the bar and Matthew was an extraordinarily attentive bartender. He did a splendid job explaining everything and made some excellent wine suggestions. We ordered the soup and a board with a variety of stuff. The soup was great, the board was very good (they all tasted great but some of the bread slices weren't cut all the way through, making it tricky to handle.) After that we had a chicken and bacon panini with home made chips. Very good. When I asked Matthew if we could split the sandwich, he offered to have it brought out on two places for us.
