We were aching for something new for Monday lunch so we decided to give Redbird Scratch Kitchen Sam Hughes a try. After all, we had gone to the original one on the west side and loved it. We were properly greeted and sat at the bar. It did take a little bit to get drinks going but in their defense, we were the first ones there. We ordere a couple of beers and they were nice and cold. It was also martini special for Monday and they all looked good. Hubs ordered a burger and it was huge. I ordered a carne asada taco, pollo asado and birria. All good, birria had a weird but good taste, the carne asada was a bit salty and I loooove salt and the pollo was delicious. No rice or beans, just the tacos come with the order. The place started to fill up around noon . Lots of business people enjoy the lovely place and surroundings for lunch. It wasn't too loud. I'm overall great, will def be back and try something different.

I saw a social media post about nachos in Tucson, and majority of the comments pointed towards Redbird as having the BEST nachos in Tucson...I had to see for myself. The elote nachos are right up my alley - and they were FANTASTIC! Such a fun twist on nachos with excellent elote flavor and perfectly seasoned birria. They aren't your typical nachos and that's what makes them so good. I've been thinking about them since! The kids Mac and cheese was also very tasty and comes in a fun noodle shape you don't see everyday. Paired with fruit and fries, my toddler was happy as can be...as was I! Have to shoutout to our server, Madeline - we bonded over her sharing her name with my toddler. She was wonderful!

This was my first time eating at this establishment. I used to go when the location was Rincon Market. I never made it to Floras, so I was anxious to see what Redbird would bring. I met with two friends for lunch and was not disappointed. I love what they have done with the space- clean and spacious. I like also that it opens up to Sonoran. The hostess was welcoming and gracious. We had reservations, and I recommend them. Even though the restaurant businesd can be slow in the summer, they were packed! Our server was, in a word, fantastic! We loved the extra touch of warm hand towels at the end of our meal. Two of us had burgers and fries; one of us had tacos Everything was correct in temperature, large in proportion and delicious!

First time here! Food was pretty good, we had a big party for a family member birthday. They accommodated us well. It was when USA and Paraguay had their match so the bar was busy and lively! Parking can be a hit or miss, took some time to find a space so consider adding time for that when going. Loved the ambiance of real plants around us! Dim lighting. I would like to go again to try something other than the ceviche! The salsa were pretty good too!

Finally checked out the new Redbird location. The food was good. I had the elote nachos which are technically an appetizer but the portion was large enough to be a meal. I added carne asada and guacamole for $5 each and both were worth it. The service was good as well. Our server was friendly and overall we had a positive experience. One thing though is that the restaurant can get a bit loud, especially since the tables are pretty close together. During our visit, we could easily hear conversations from tables next to us. Seemed like the couple next to us were having an argument, which isn't exactly what you want to hear when trying to enjoy a meal. To be clear, that's definitely not a reflection on the restaurant, just an awkward situation that happened during our visit. Overall, Redbird was a great experience. It's a fun spot to meet up with friends and the food was solid. I'd definitely come back.

The nachos were incredible! Like a million flavors exploding in your mouth!! Also our server Lola was amazing!

My son had been wanting to try this place so when I was in town we went there for dinner. So many options to choose from. He had a burger and I had a chicken sandwich and we both loved them. So many other delicious options to choose from. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had dinner at Redbird while visiting Tucson for a conference. We were told the menu would have something for everyone, and it was a relatively convenient drive from our hotel. W head a group of six. We were able to get a same-day reservation, and were seated immediately. Our server was Abby and she was so friendly and helpful. We all thought the menu looked amazing and there were many things we'd like to try, including the mocktails. Many of us ended up choosing the Mangorita mocktail- the description of the tajin rim is what sold us, and we were not disappointed! A few in our party got burgers, one got tacos (which came with an adorable array of pickled veggies on the side) and the rest of us got taco salads topped with various protein. This was not a boring taco salad from my youth! This was delicious and unique, with candied peppers, pickled carrots, pepitas, and more. Everything was gently tossed in avocado like vinaigrette and it was amazing. I could eat that every day! Highly recommend Redbird!

Red Bird has been on my list for quite some time sand last Saturday was my opportunity for lunch. At 50, I had my share (honestly, more than my share) of nachos over the years, and I think their elote nachos were the best I have had. I really enjoyed the birria as an addition. I also had one of every taco they had and they were very flavorful. My wife also enjoyed her salad. The place was clean and the hostess was friendly. Our waiter seemed disinterested and we felt he tried to rush us. I am unsure why, as there were empty tables and we wanted to enjoy our appetizer. The waitresses serving the other tables were attentive to their customers. Luck of the draw I guess.

Adorable restaurant with a great outdoor patio. I ordered the freshly squeezed lemonade along with the fried shrimp tacos and shared the super waffle fries with my friend. The shrimp tacos were flavorful. The batter was just right with the perfect seasoning. I decided to go with the mild salsa and got pickled veggies on the side which were amazing. Words can only describe how delicious the super waffle fries loaded with cheese, tomatoes, guacamole and maybe some other stuff, the fries were yummy. Lastly, our waitress was great and attentive. This is definitely a spot I would recommend.

Pretzel appetizer is served with 3 but we ate one so quickly. It's that good.

Our experience last night was definitely 5 star worthy! Tried Redbird on a whim and it was quite busy with an hour wait for a table indoors but the hostess offered a spot in the patio and it was great. We had a table on the sidewalk side and it was fun watching all the street activity and people. We were lucky enough to have Brooke as our server and not only did she provide excellent service all around but her shining, warm personality is what truly stood out for us. My guy had Appleton Estate rum and Coke but the Gold Grade Martini was calling my name. Delicious pineapple drink shaken and poured tableside - what a treat! We started with the pretzel appetizer which is served with a really nice triple cheese sauce, mustard, roasted and candied peppers and garlic confit. It's definitely elevated and is probably the best pretzel appetizer I've ever had. My guy had the BBQ Bacon Burger and I had the Early Bird Burger. Both were cooked to perfection and the smash patties have a nice crust and are really juicy. We also had a serving of waffle fries. Now I'm not a big fry person and waffle fries are always so thick and heavy but not these! Light, crispy and expertly seasoned. We also ordered some Mac and cheese to go simply based on that cheese sauce served with the pretzel and were glad we did. My guy ate a bit of it reheated at home late last night and said it was sooooo good. We took a lot of food home so we've got a full lunch waiting for us in the fridge today. I highly recommend Redbird and should you get Brooke as your server well, it's your lucky day!

Different location same great flavor and service. I'm happy to know the food is consistent from the original spot. This place is fresh, welcoming , modern and a good time. It fills up fast so make a reservation. I'm a creature of habit I got the elote corn nachos with chicken. Those are dangerously delicious. I love that they offer a full bar , plenty of seating and access to the place next door. Brooke my waitress was exceptional! She was personable, attentive and sweet.

The December specialty cocktail: "All I want for Christmas is Booze." It was delicious, fizzy, and festive!

Friends, Redbird achieved a holiday MIRACLE. We took a notoriously hard-to-please out of town guest here (background: this family member has been neutral or negative about at least half a dozen of our favorite local spots), and he really liked it! Dare I say, he may have even loved it. He finished his whole plate. He complimented the food and ambience both while we were in the restaurant and then again as we were saying our goodbyes in the parking lot, AND he mentioned bringing other people here next time he's in town. Truly, we've never achieved this kind of success with any other independent restaurant we've taken him to. Tips for any trip to Redbird: - the Garlic Confit Pretzels are a must-get appetizer - the Elote Nachos are delicious - the seasonal cocktails are super fun and always delicious We'll be back, both on our own and with guests in tow.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We'd heard good things about this place and have been trying to support local downtown bars this summer, so we stopped in around 11 on a Friday night before heading home. As we sat down, we watched the bartender be pretty dismissive toward another group at the bar, so we were already a little unsure. We started talking about the decor because we liked the eclectic vibe. We jokingly pointed out that one of the pictures had a joint instead of a cigarette because someone in our group hadn't noticed. One of the bartender's first comments back, completely seriously, was, "I'm from San Diego. Have you never seen art before?" Honestly... what? It was such a weird, unnecessarily condescending response. I brushed it off at first as awkward banter, but it was a really strange first impression. The drinks were decent. The Loverlist was really good, and the Unicorn Fluff and Old Fashioned were fine. The bartender was quick to talk up their whiskey selection, but when we asked for a recommendation, she mostly gave reasons why she couldn't recommend anything and just kept saying they had "over 90 different options." Without a whiskey menu to look through, that wasn't especially helpful. We also asked for a shooter and were offered half of a cocktail instead. That would've been totally fine on its own, but combined with everything else, the service just never felt welcoming. We ended up leaving pretty quickly. I'd give the place another shot because the atmosphere is fun and has a lot of potential, but hopefully with a different bartender behind the bar.

I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.
