You can tell these chiropractic doctors are the best in their field and at their craft. Not only do they have treatment equipment there that they do not have other places, but they also specialize in scoliosis and all sorts of back and neck pain issues. My 11yo daughter has been going to them for her back/posture and it has been massively helpful to diagnose, manage, and support her as an elite level dancer and athlete. I can't imagine taking her to anyone else because you can tell they are the best of the best. Each one of the doctors here works as a team with the others ~ and you can tell that they manage their patients' cases thoroughly and effectively. They each play a part in helping their patients heal, and genuinely care to see their patients get real and measurable results. Each and every doctor here rotates the patients around effortlessly so they all get their treatments without waiting and you always feel tended to. The fact that they take before and after X-rays shows that they are serious about getting their patients fixed long term and your money is well spent on these treatments. My daughter has benefited from their back and neck adjustments as well as their traction machine and long term home care PT plan. We will be coming here for awhile and I have utmost reassurance that my daughter's back is in the best hands. They are experienced with working with pro level and elite level athletes, who have to manage not just a busy school load and practice schedule but manage pain and growth and posture all in 1. We travel over an hour to see them, because they are worth it. With more than enough resources in the Silicon Valley, we could stay local, but after doing tons of research we landed here, because I could just tell by the reviews and the consults in person that they knew everything and more. They even teach classes and educate in this field. These folks are great at what they do. After years of trying to improve my slouch on my own with various devices and techniques, I decided to call in the pros. So glad I did, my back feels amazing and my posture is dramatically improved compared to where I started just a few months ago. The doctors are meticulous about checking in with you about how your body is doing, the front desk is quick to respond and always helpful, and everyone here is really supportive of helping you achieve whatever your treatment goal may be. They seem to have a unique approach to treatment as far as I can tell. It's not traditional chiropractic care and they'll tell you so up front. Spent too much money here trying to fix upper-back posture using CBP (chiropractic biophysics). They charge around 140 a visit and you have to go twice a week for 3 months, not 1 or 2, before they let you do x-ray again to see progress. I was told that because I was infrequently using the "home care" denneroll that I would PROBABLY only see a 5 degree change in my spine after spending around 3k and doing traction/adjustment for months. For that kind of money, I was looking for a lot more change or complete "cure." The doctor said he really wanted to help me with my health status but then I never heard back after I stopped going. I've had a lovely experience at PostureWorks so far. Having struggled with chronic back pain for 10 years, I was struck by the simple fact that I haven't ever had an x-ray taken of my back. Out of the countless back specialists, doctors, and physical therapists I've seen, none have considered such a simple approach to diagnosing my pain. Lo and behold, my spine is off-axis in many spots from top to bottom. This was news to me, although it explains the pain I've been experiencing. I've committed to visiting PostureWorks 3x/week for the most effective treatment following the diagnosis. I must get as much out of this experience as possible, considering the price of each session and the total cost incurred by going so often. My treatment has gone incredibly well so far. The tractions are challenging, especially considering the degree of change we are striving for with my spine, but the effort has been worth it. For the first time in almost a decade, I've had entire days without *any* pain! I can actually feel the improvement day-to-day. It's important to note that all of the doctors at PostureWorks are kind, patient, and helpful. I can't overstate how important this is, especially given the circumstances required by being a patient (i.e., long commute via bus and difficult tractions). Some days I'm *really* not in the mood to have my spine yanked around, but the positivity exuded by the folks I'm working with makes everything feel more manageable. For what it's worth, I practice yoga 6x/week and other mindfulness techniques such as meditation. While I believe these have helped relieve tension throughout my body, I've never experienced such pain-free relief as I have since working with PostureWorks. Overall, if you have severe body pain, the folks at PostureWorks might be able to help. This is such an amazing clinic! The doctors are highly knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely warm. You feel like you're in good hands from the moment you walk in. Dr. Levin and his staff put so much science and love into their work - it's truly remarkable. I've never been to a chiropractor who is more transparent, method-based, gentle, and collaborative. They ask you to attend a class and to be accountable for home exercises for your wellness. They show you your progress. If you become a mother you can even bring your baby in for complimentary adjustments for a time. I love these people and the difference they made in my body and how I relate to it. I came in on a referral from a TMJ specialist and learned that my neck was missing some curvature. Gradually, with home props and in office weight training, we put the curve back in. This experience happened a while back, but I felt discouraged from writing this review, since it seemed like most of the reviewers were so happy with the services provided, I thought maybe it was just me. Recently I learned that this happens all the time, and thought it was only fair to warn people. It's not just you! First of all, let me say that I came in with some dizziness issues I thought may have been associated with the my upper back scoliosis (a known issue since I was a kid, I exercise enough that it's never bothered me at all). It later turned out to be iron deficiency, and all is good now. Initially I called and tried to get a sense of costs and services they offered, and I got very little information. I made an appointment at the front desk later, and specifically asked what the range of price for the exam was and was told "79 for the exam". On the day of it turned out it to be 270 (always great to learn about the actual price halfway through the exam)... It didn't sit right with me and I wrote the feedback to the clinic later that evening that they should be more transparent about their pricing, to which Dr Levin defensively replied that this was, with all the x-rays taken, the price at a 40% discounted fee (gosh, thank you, good sir!) At the exam itself Dr Levin completely ignored my upper back, but became convinced my whole spine was shifted to a side (later confirmed to be not true, but okay). His spiel was to convince me of the urgency of all my current issues that, of course, contributed to my feeling unwell, in a pretty condescending manner. During x-rays he said "because your spine is shifted, I need to shift your hips for the x-ray", which he did, literally moved my hips to the side from the center. He later sent me the x-rays demonstrating the bend in the lower half of my spine. I know, it sounds like a joke, but it was not. Was it a very sloppy attempt at fraud? To this day I'm at a loss for words as to what the hell this was. I repeat, I have never had any spinal problems or pain. There is no shift in my spine, which my current doctor has confirmed. After thus interaction, I asked for the refund, which they thankfully granted, and never came back. I'd run away as far as you can from this place. read more

I absolutely love PostureWorks - it has almost become like a day spa to me! I didn't start going to a chiropractor for any specific reason other than that I felt my body could be better, could be stronger, comfier. Because of PostureWorks - I've never felt better! When in the clinic, the staff is superior. I go 2 - 3 times a week for adjustment and traction so its really important to have people I trust and enjoy. Now with the care plan I am on, I typically end up falling asleep because of how relaxed I feel in the moment but also how relaxed I am in my surroundings knowing the guys got me taken care of. It's not just me who feels this good - I can see people's faces when they get out of their own traction and you can tell their care plan is helping them to feel better. When at home, the guys have really helped me to tweak everyday moments to enhance my physical performance too (simple stuff, like how to sit properly for best spinal alignment). I have hurt my body and my back slowly but surely over the years from snowboarding, dancing, surfing, and just daily life. Jolting back and neck pains for certain movements occasionally and sometimes a lingering dull pain was normal and I didn't really think much of it. Once i started going to PostureWorks i realized this wasn't the norm, and PostureWorks is not the typical chiropractors that I had been to in the past. This wasn't a quick back crack bandaid fix for these persistent problems, this was a treatment plan design for long term results. PW has helped me immensely in my daily life and I know it's going to last for the long run. They have been able to correct the curvature of my spine by a significant and noticeable amount not just from the x-rays but also in the pain that i experienced. I wasn't very interested nor believed in chiropractic care until my friend who previously worked here recommended I come for a consultation. I had rather bad chronic shoulder and lower back pain, so I figured I'd give it a go during the pandemic once the office opened up (not like I had anything better to do than fix myself, hah). I've been coming here for almost a year now and it's been a fantastic experience. My shoulder and lower back are significantly better than before an are continually getting better. I love how they set expectations and explained in-depth what was going on with my body. They told me there was no quick fix but it'll be worth the effort in the long run. I've been going here for about two months to treat chronic pain from scoliosis and the team at Postureworks already feels like family. They really keep it positive and put the patient first. Tl;Dr -That was a ridiculous experience and I'm sorry for all other honest chiropractors. I recommend never waste your time going there. I do jiu jitsu and once in a while I go to chiropractor. I decided to check out Dr Levin because its a several blocks from the place I live. I made an appointment with Dr Levin on the phone. First of all I asked to tell me the rates and they didn't. Then I asked to send me the rates to my email when I called them later and they didn't again, but that's OK. I came to Dr Levin's office and first thing he showed me was a graph that shows how spine connected to all organs. He started explaining that everything can be treated by treating the spine. Then he started asking me about problems that I had and he would find how that problem related to the spine. All recent problems that I had was allergy and shingles a couple month before, but in his opinion were problems because of the spine. Also sinus that I had at the time was a spine problem. After showing me that graph he asked me 'do you believe in this?' And I said 'sure'. After that he said that I need to do Xray right now( he had xray in his clinic) because 'something might be shifted in your body' and that would cost $400. When I said that if my physician makes a prescription to do xray I'll get it for free with my insurance, he said that those are no good xrays. I asked if he's sure that I need it because its a small radiation exposure he said that I totally need it and 'there's a study' that says that xrays are totally harmless and you can do it over and over again. After that he accused me the I have some 'trust issues'. After that he was still trying to convince me that I had a lot of problems. He was taking my pictures with iPad, showing me the correlation with ideal posture. And it didn't make any sense because I just recovered from my for injury and I was limping for 2 month and that's why I was there so they help bring my muscles into balance. He used some other tricks and measurements showing me that I should definitely spend a lot of money in his clinic. He was calling his clinic 'advanced chiropractic clinic' or so.. .. Next day I accidentally met Dr Levin in a bar by my house, we recognized each other and he asked me how I was doing, and I said that I thought he brainwashed me during his appointment. And he replied that was a 'pure science' Every other chiropractor would be better. read more

I'm 24 years old and I was having severe back pain every 6 weeks. I always thought I must of slept wrong or was just stressed out. Finally my boyfriend tired of being my personal masseur and suggested I see a chiropractor. I was a bit hesitant but having reached a new level of excruciating pain I did some research and called PostureWorks. I called and spoke with Dr. Levin, he could tell I was in a great deal of pain and was able to see me that afternoon. After getting x-rayed Dr. Levin showed me what was causing my pain; my spine had 2 curvatures and my neck was unnaturally straight. I was relieved to have a cause of my headaches, dizziness, nausea, asthma attacks, and of course my back pain! Dr. Levin gives a detailed explanation of the causes and a plan to correct them. He strives to help you better understand your body and teaches you how to be more aware of it. I have now been going to PostureWorks for 3 months and am ecstatic! Dr. Levin is a rare find. He is one of the few doctors I have met that truly cares about his patients' health and not just one aspect of it. He genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are healthy in every way. If he can't help you he will go out of his way to refer you to someone that can. 2 weeks prior to my visiting PostureWorks I had one of the most severe asthma attacks I've had in years. Dr. Levin has taught me breathing exercises and I haven't had ANY asthma issues in the last few months. BEST decision I ever made. After more than a year of agonizing pain in my back, neck, and migraines, I came across Postureworks and I'm so glad I invested in MYSELF. I started seeing results just a month or two in, and I can't believe it because with my schedule, I was only able to make once a week visits (plus home care). Dr. Levin was so flexible and supportive! After approx 8 months, I'm at a 90% reduction in pain and other annoying symptoms throughout my body. Even though I still sit in traffic, I don't live everyday thinking about pain. My menstrual cramps also decreased! AND, my favorite reduction is maybe unusual, but I can pass gas easier. PostureWorks changed my life! The care offered by this office as a whole is unparalleled. Dr. Levin was able to identify my needs and areas of pain and prescribe a plan that not only completely removed my back pain, but allowed me to live a normal life at the same time! I used to not be able to sit in a chair for more than an hour without severe discomfort and after the pain was there, I just couldnt shake it. Now I'm able to sit, stand, bend, etc. without pain and without the fear of pain returning. I thought it was inevitable because bad backs run in my family, but after learning more about the philosophy behind PostureWorks, everything the doctors here do is logical (and they're more than happy to explain). I see there are some haters that have given poor reviews - if you read them, you'll see that Julia never actually got care from PostureWorks and Devisor is complaining about the part of the practice I love the most - the full body attention. Not only did Dr. Levin focus on my back pain, he also cared for the other parts of my body that were also painful. I have terrible shoulders from years of competitive swimming and water polo - they feel better than they ever have. I have bad knees, they now feel great. Even when I come in after a hard workout and am just generally sore, Dr. Levin has ways to ensure I'm feeling better the next day. I used to have severe stomach pain - gone! The idea is that the spine is the control center for most of our internal organs, so if your spine is in good health, your body will likely be too. I am glad to report that since first attending PostureWorks I am healthier and happier. The best part about PW is the staff. Dr. Levin is great as is Dr. Miller and all of the assistants that work there. Everyone is super knowledgeable and so nice. Buyer Beware. I came to PostureWorks in 2016 after a major incident with my back. 10/10 pain all of a sudden, not from a specific injury but was probably coming to me for a while. I went through 3 full rounds of treatment at PostureWorks over about a year and a half, going in 3-5 times a week. When I wasn't there, I was doing everything possible to heal my back without any Western medication and doing all the physical therapy exercises/homework given to me by PostureWorks. By the end of all three rounds of treatment, I was still experiencing 9/10 pain frequently and could not function (couldn't cook, exercise, go to work, etc). They helped me improve my posture, but did not help me return to normal nor reduce my pain to allow me to go about my life normally. That's fine, but I put way too much trust in them and invested way too much time and money (thousands and thousands of dollars) in their treatment. I was at a very vulnerable place and was swayed too easily by their adamant argument, and even promises, that if I followed their program 100%, I would be better. I take full responsibility, but wish I had been smarter. I finally ended up having to move back home and out of the city to receive care from my family in San Diego. My back pain still wasn't allowing me to go into work, enjoy time with friends, exercise, or even bend to load the dishwasher. I told everyone at PostureWorks that I was moving. After about a week in San Diego, Dr. Levin called me to review my final set of x-rays. His tone had taken a drastic 180, he had become cold and even sounded very resentful that I was no longer a patient. This hurt, since I had spent the past year and a half, 3-5 days a week in his office and finally made the extremely difficult decision to move home and out of the city. He seemed displeased that I was prioritizing what was best for myself over what was best for his business. No one from their office has even followed up to see how I'm doing since I moved. This is in contrast with some fitness practitioners I saw in SF a month before I moved who have kept in touch and set me up with great recommendations in San Diego (Perform for Life, they rock!). Not that following up is a requirement, but considering the time I spent at their office, and how vulnerable I had been while there, dealing with a serious back issue, this made it seem like they only cared so long as I was giving them money. Even more, before I had moved and was telling Dr. Levin I would be moving and asked for recommendations in San Diego. His response? No one could do what they do. He was adamant about this and never gave me recommendations. Lo and behold, there is someone who practices the exact same Chiropractic BioPhysics less than a mile from my new home, they're extremely qualified AND so much cheaper that PostureWorks ($60/session and they don't lock you in or push you to buy thousand-dollar package deals). The only good thing I can say about my experience here: the treatment assistants and front desk associates were very friendly and my posture improved. However, this was not worth the thousands of dollars I gave to PostureWorks, nor the time and effort to get to this office 3-5 days a week (45-minute commute, 1 way) from Bernal Heights. I truly regret the amount of time and money I spent here, and hope to warn anyone else before they hand over a lot of their money. You can improve your posture and reduce your back pain elsewhere in the city, pay a lot less, and have a better experience. read more

Having never visited a chiropractor before this was a great first experience. All the staff members were friendly and helpful when it came to setting everything up. I had been suffering from a laundry list of symptoms that were preventing me from working out and doing my job. I'm a personal trainer and it was embarrassing that I was having difficulty demonstrating things for my clients. I even had clients that would out perform me in the exercises. Once I had my initial appointment with Dr. Levin I was so relieved to hear that all my issues were simple fixes that just needed a little time. After the first week of my adjustments I could already feel the difference. I was getting about 6-8 hours of sleep a night, but I would always wake up feeling as if I hadn't slept at all. Dr. Miller and Dr. Levin are absolutely wonderful. I went to see them because my TMJ was acting up and neither my dentist nor my physician could help me (nor did they seem to want to!) and I didn't want to continue to pump myself full of medication. There are not enough stars to review this practice. I have been searching for decades for a practitioner to evaluate my spine and treat holistically instead of following the pain. The initial assessment was incredibly informative and we have made huge progress in posture, eliminating pain and spine health. They have also improved my daughter's spine curve almost completely. The doctor's all work together and truly know each patient and their cases in detail and it is so reassuring. They also are all super kind and supportive. This is definitely the best chiropractic office have been to and let me tell you I've been to number of them. Some of my favorite aspects are the friendliness off the front desk staff, the chiropractor's assistants, and the skilled chiropractors. Yet the main reason for my five star review, is that they have traction machines to speed up progress and provide quantifiable results via x-rays! I've definitely seen postural improvements and pain reduction in various joints thanks to the team here. I've never gone to a chiropractor before but after my whiplash when snowboarding I felt a series of pains throughout my neck and back. My coworker had told me about this place (he has been to many chiropractors before) and I think the selling point is that they "look at your body from a structural engineering point of view" (absolutely true). I started with a free one-hour consultation where Dr. Levin asks a series of questions, questions that makes you think and lead to other things that you realize. He was very detailed and descriptive in explaining how the body works and why certain things affects other parts. I also had a set of photos and x-rays taken to see how my body aligns itself. Afterwards, I began my sessions. Within several weeks the constant pain in my neck was gone, the pronation on my feet was gone, and I am more aware of my neck posture and how it should be. Also, when I had an injury from backpacking, Dr. Corey took time out of our normal sessions to tend to my ankle injury and taped up my foot for me. They are very flexible an everything, such as working out an affordable payment plan, and are fully concerned with my health and progress and how that aligns with my goals. I'd love to highlight the fact that they always take an overall perspective of the body, rather than focus on one part at a time. This place is amazing and I would (and often do) recommend that everyone come here and at least get checked out. At the very least you'll experience some of the nicest, most intelligent people in medicine. But what they offer is so much more, it's literally life changing. Two months ago I could barely walk from a bunion on my right foot that had been escalating for over a year. Finally I saw a chiropractor on a whim and was referred to PostureWorks. I never would have thought my spine and neck could cause problems in my feet! I'm happy to say I'm now walking all over San Francisco pain free.
