Whew-this place was everything that I needed on a calm Sunday. As mentioned, I ordered online so I haven't visited the location in person yet. But, after my experience with the food, I'm eager to take the trip and check them out. I ordered the 2 piece tenders which came with a side of duck fat fries. I then paired it with the mother sauce and extra pickles. These chicken tenders were huge cuts and perfectly fried. The seasoning on this meat was perfect, not too salty and not bland at all. It was just right! The mother sauce took the chicken tenders over the top with each dip and honestly, whatever is in this sauce needs to be bottled and sold lol. The duck fat fries were addictive because of a dry seasoning sprinkled on them. Add that to hot crispy fries and you've got magic! Definitely recommend this menu selection. My boyfriend had the Queen Mother's classic sandwich and he raved about the flavor profiles and soft bread. He said that the chicken sandwich was a hit to him and that he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. As mentioned, I think that this place might be worth an in person visit to try another one of their great chicken sandwiches and those amazing fries.

Who knew that there would be a cafe in Pentagon City with this option? The interior is a bit cramped with many cardboard boxes piling up. We were able to order the food at the counter and waited about 5-10 minutes before the food was ready. BRAISED PORK OVER RICE (卤肉饭) - 15.49 Lots of rice, more rice than I could finish with the amount of braised pork belly they give. The pork was very fatty, which made it tasty and juicy, but it wasn't very saucy. There were two halves of a bokchoy and half of an incredibly boiled egg, which was meh. Still, I finished all the toppings and maybe a little less than half of the rice. I was full, but $15.49 for the food was not worth it. Overall, 3.5/5 but bump it to a 4/5 since there's a scarcity of food like this in the area. They sell other comfort Asian dishes too, like coconut chicken cutlet rice and Japanese eel rice.

With an impressively high Yelp rating, I was disappointed to hear the new owners say the glowing reviews are from the previous owner (though I respect the honesty). Despite that, we really enjoyed our visit. The new owners live up to the legacy. First of all, the service is excellent. An older man makes the food and who I assume is his daughter takes the orders. Both are kind. At the end, she gave my daughter a granola bar for free. The menu is a mix of Korean food and the small market in the back sells Korean products and more. It's very fun to browse and pick up some snacks and treats. My daughter loved the juicy grape fruit snacks. To eat, we ordered the Japanese curry and milk tea. Both were full of flavor and made with love. "This is my new favorite meal of all time," said my daughter. She devoured the bowl herself! There's a small parking lot in front of the cafe. It's within walking distance from the Crystal City Metro.

It's probably because people avoid this place like the plague, and the one drop that they do in the morning just sits all day for the next unlucky customer. It's pretty much an average McDonald's in terms of food, service, quality, and cleanliness. The parking is pretty small and it sees a lot of people since it's the closest location to the Reagan National Airport in Crystal City. Parking is pretty small so when you're entering through US-1, it could get backed up due to the drive thru immediately on the left. You may need to drive around the building if the line of the drive thru gets backed up. This location is a 2 story building and it looks updated with its interior decoration. You can order 4 different ways: through the counter, the self-ordering kiosk, mobile app, and the drive thru. The day we decided eat inside, the stairs to the second level was blocked (not sure why or for what reason). It was also not busy for a weekday afternoon, so we were able to sit at a large booth. There were even counter height seating available. Food is as expected, just average, but at least it was hot and came out fairly quickly. Service was good and decent.

When you order the chicken, you can choose the level of spiciness you can want, but it's not a big deal since the chicken isn't prepared in the sauce, it's given to you in dipping packets. I found the chicken itself to be dry, so I wouldn't suggest it to anyone, but their menu is so extensive (I think 2-3 different restaurants operate out of the same building) that I wouldn't rule out coming back to try something else especially if it's late at night. The restaurant itself was interesting because at first appearance you'll think it's a fast-casual spot, but the furniture looks like it's from a lounge. Nothing bad, just interesting. The staff were friendly and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time.

Decided to try the peri chicken strip salad. The server at the counter was super friendly and helpful when I needed to decide what seasoning I wanted on my chicken. And she offered to put the salad dressing on the side since I am taking my order to go. I sat at. A booth while I waited and the furniture was pretty comfy. I was blown away by my salad. There were probably 5 chicken strips (grilled chicken breast tenders) covering the entire top of the salad. The marinade (lemon and herbs) created enough of a sauce that I didn't need dressing. Salad included olives, tomatoes and cucumbers sort of like a greek salad.

We went here because I was craving carne asada tacos. We ordered few birria tacos, chicken tinga tacos, and carne asada. The birria tacos were great and had a lot of meat. The consommé was also great. I also liked the chicken tinga tacos. However, their carne asada tacos were extremely salty and weirdly cooked that they were rubbery. Between the meat being hard to chew and being too salty, I couldn't enjoy the carne asada at all. I asked the server before ordering if the birria tacos or the carne asada was better and he unbothered-ly said both are good. We also got a Pina colada to share since we wanted to eat our calories than drink. But this upset the server and he was also upset that we weren't ordering more drinks. The service felt a little off due to his cold attitude. We do plan to come in the future but hope we are treated better and not judged for not drinking crazy amounts of alcohol at dinner.
