So, here we were. The space was open, clean, and inviting. It reminded me of a number of restaurants I've visited in the Middle East, and particularly Dubai. Not fancy, so much as down-to-earth and inviting. My wife and I shared a Chicken shawarma platter and a plate of fries. Simple things first, the fries were perfection. Crispy on the outside, hot and tender on the inside, and tasty through and through. The shawarma had plenty of chicken over a bed of soft white rice and was accompanied by some salad. It was a perfect meal for a weirdly cold May afternoon. On our way out, I mentioned to the owner that the food was really good, because it was, and mentioned that the shawarma wasn't quite as tasty as some that I've had in my travels. His face brightened, and he said that next time I should ask for it a bit spicier. Next time I'm back, and there will be a next time, I'll ask for spicier.
