The A-wreck sandwich wasn't overflowing but also didn't skimp on any of the toppings/meat. The sandwich was toasted well and wasn't dry. The mac and cheese was also very tasty, I am a big mac and cheese fan. TMI I had to take two lactaid to eat this it's so yummy and cheesy! Haha. The customer service was very nice and efficient. Stopped in at this potbelly location to meet up with a few friends for lunch. Overall the first impressions were very nice - bright and clean, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. This was my first visit to any Potbelly location. I ordered a steakhouse beef sandwich and had it customized according to my wishes. Nice selection of toppings as one would expect. Unfortunately this sandwich missed its mark in several areas for me. There was nothing wrong with the sandwich, but in terms of taste I've had far tastier roast beef or steak and cheese sandwiches at many other restaurants in the area. And unfortunately I really struggled with the value proposition for my lunch. I know food and labor costs have gone up for all restaurant operators, but I've had similar sandwiches at other establishments that were priced less and offered a far better value to me. Employees don't know how to use the computer systems, neither does the manager. Let my order sit there as "received" and never marked it in their system as being prepared (which sends the order to doordash so a driver can accept/deliver it) I called after an hour (took 3 times to get an answer) and let them know the reason nobody was picking it up was because they did not send it to doordash and the employee said "ooooh i see that now. Yeah, thats what happened. Well the manager is on the way to you with it now anyway" great! But no. After another hour I called and the manager himself answered and said he could "TRY to deliver it IF I have time.". This is 2 hours after the delivery window and the entire problem was an employee not sending the order through to Doordash. It's food, no big deal in the long run, but I didn't get to eat lunch on my break yesterday and had to deal with a rude person instead. No indication was given on the website that there was no such service, and the charge for delivery was on the receipt. *Drool* Today was my first visit to the Potbelly in Manassas. I go to the one in the Reston Town Center (Reston, VA) - at least once a week. But I've been lusting and dreaming about the Wreck on Wheat at the Manassas location - with everything, including extra hot peppers and one of their delicious, massively large, sour, crisp dill pickles, sliced and quartered lengthwise. Was out running errands today, taxes and financial stuff. My Mom and I visited here for lunch. She has never experienced the goodness of Potbelly before. She opted for the Turkey on Wheat - and I of course, the Wreck on Wheat, with Dill pickle and a bottle of water. The sandwich was, as always, very tasty. I love the Wreck so much that I almost want to make moaning sounds as I am eating it. Like: Mmmmmmm, this is so damn good! I frequent the Potbelly in Sterling, close to the office and have started taking my son to the one in Manassas on weekends for lunch. What is great about this Potbelly is how they have realized that they are in a small town with lots of families and have tailored their service to take advantage of this. On weekend afternoons (not sure when else) there is a guy and a guitar singing kid-friendly songs and talking with the kids. In October on Tuesdays, every table had baloons, kid's activities and crafts. For me, the "Wreck", loaded, is the ultimate sandwich (not to compare with a 5 Guys burger though!). The amount of spiciness from all the peppers is pretty incredible and I wonder how they can get away with offering everyone that amount of heat by default on a sandwich. For me it's just right though! My son discovered the Pizza sub and has never looked back. Any place which sells pizza in a sandwich is perfection in his world. My only wish for Potbelly's would be to offer half or 3/4 sandwiches. The Potbelly company is starting to offer kid-sized sandwiches in some areas which will be good. Co-workers and I have tried the salads a few times, but weren't able to get the same "Wow!" party in our mouth like with the sandwiches. read more

Outstanding service, fast and easy move through the line. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. Employees are super friendly and always have a smile on their face. My favorite is the chicken salad salad and they always give me 2 dressings! Love the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Stopped into this shop on several occasions, today was unlike no other. Exceptional service, always greeted with a smile! The staff here go out of their way to make you happy. I have a regular sandwich that I get when I come, today the manager suggested the turkey club and I went with that and the potato salad (which is surprisingly delicious) I usually get the Mac and cheese, but wanted to try something new. So, today was a good experience! They have live music during the lunch hours quite frequently and if you miss the live music, no problem there is always something on the radio! I ordered the original chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread minus the provolone cheese and a chocolate brownie cookie. The chicken salad sandwich was ok but not better, and maybe not even as good as subway. The sandwich was kind of dry and the chicken salad wasn't very flavorful. The bread was ok but nothing special. The chocolate brownie cookie was one of the best cookies I've ever had but I'd still prefer a good old fashioned brownie. I have always been a fan of Potbellys..My family and I eat here several times a month. Over the past few months I have noticed a decline in the service..groups if young people behind the counter who are more interested in joking and playing around than serving customers. For me it all came to a head a couple weeks ago..I walked in late afternoon and once again the group of staff were huddled up behind the register..boisterous and loud..but this time they were around a guy in a dirty sleeveless shirt who was eating McDonalds. He had a burger in his hand fries and a drink on the counter..waving his hands full of food over trays of baked cookies sitting in the counter. As I watched him strands of condiment covered lettuce flew off his burger and landed on the tray if cookies..a young women standing next yo them calmly picked the lettuce off and dropped on the floor..and continued chatting. At that point I lost my appetite and left. I realise that its cheaper to hire kids to work fast food..but the owner needs someone to manage their behaviour.
