The wings are a must! It's nicely crunchy and decent sizes. Recommend the soy garlic. It has a good balance of sweetness. This goes great with plain white rice a pickled radish. Another good dish is their bulgogi Bibim bap and spicy cucumber salad. We were there late afternoon and it wasn't busy. So the service was pretty attentive and quick. Before Covid, bon chon was absolutely amazing. High quality, affordable Korean fried chicken in generous portions. That is no longer the case. Within the past six years, the wing sizes have shrunk significantly to the point of embarrassing (see photo), the prices for the chicken wings have drastically increased, and to top it off, is that no ranch is provided with each order of chicken anymore. I just got home after spending over $70 for my family of four and was tried to be "rang up," after for asking for three cups of ranch with my two orders of chicken and one order of pot stickers. After saying, "I'm spending $70 on dinner tonight for four people and you don't provide a single ranch with each meal item?" To which the cashier replied, "we don't do that anymore." Well now I don't order bon chon anymore. The amount of money you've lost from this repeat customer, feeding a family of four no less, is more money than you would have "lost" by providing ranch with the overpriced meal. Not to mention my reaction to the disgraceful "chick" wings (again, see photo) in my order upon getting home with my carry-out order. The food was okay, my bulgogi lacked flavor. My boyfriend got fried rice and a corndog which were pretty good. The restaurant looked clean. What was disappointing was that when we went to pick up our order, which we paid a significant amount of money for, we were told we could not have a glass of tap water and instead offered two bottles of Dasani that we had to purchase. I have never been to a restaurant that denied patrons free tap water upon request. I don't think we will be visiting again. read more

First time eating Korean chicken. Suggestion of one of the foodies on my team. Chicken didn't disappoint. I split my order of 4 drumsticks and got half with the signature sauce and the other half was Korean bbq with coleslaw. We ate in and were expecting to have a bear and we found out they don't sell liquor so that put a damper on the trip. The food was excellent and the service was top tier. The were younger than us by appearance and mannerism and they handled our group with all its question without any complications. I would rate Bonchon as "Okay, when drunk" for a wings place. It was my first time having anything from Bonchon, and I had it delivered. This is important because of the sides I got. Generally, when you're getting something for delivery, you don't want to order fries because anything thats supposed to be crispy just ends up a soggy mess... I found out later that their fries are amazing, and i might have to give them another shot. I ordered 10 pc Wings, Half & Half. Half (5) Soy Garlic and Half (5) Plain. For my side, because of the above-mentioned issue, I had to get coleslaw. As an additional item, I got some extra Ranch Dressing. I wasn't too impressed with their packaging. If anyone here has ever delivered food, or has a shred of sense, will know - CARDBOARD is the worst for heat retention and prevention of build of moisture... I have no idea why Bonchon chooses to use cardboard packaging for items they know will need to stay as dry and crispy as possible, but it was a horrible choice, and needs to be changed. Let's start with the smallest items.. The ranch dressing was bland and simply generic, and had a very very runny consistency to it, to the point that if you dipped your wing into the ranch, it was running off like a waterfall before you could get it to your mouth. Next the coleslaw - I'm not a huge fan of coleslaw, to be fair, but when I smelled this coleslaw and tried a bit of it, I could tell that it was amazing and anyone who likes coleslaw would love this stuff... It smelled and tasted fresh and vibrant. Finally - the main part of the whole meal - The chicken wings! Sadly, I didn't enjoy these wings as much as everyone had hyped them up to... The plain wings were just that - PLAIN. No salt. No pepper. No ANYTHING. Literally a wing, dipped in un-flavored batter, and dipped into oil. They were quite greasy on the inside, under all the batter shell. It was so bland that it was depressing! I had a hard time even finishing the ones I had because they were bland, and the runny-ranch didn't do much to help it! The soy garlic wings were what saved this place slightly... They were decently good, and had a great flavor to them... They were a bit heavy on the flavor to the point that the chicken didn't get a chance to live up to it's glory, and was fully masked by other flavors.. The exterior of the wings for both the soy garlic and the plain wings had an amazing crunch to them, and was what I always imagine fried wings will come out as... It's just sad that this place's food couldn't live up to the hype-level it was boosted to... It's not as bad as some of the local wing places I've been to and I might try it again for another opinion, but for now I'll leave it near the bottom of the list. I ate here recently and while the food itself is still amazing, they really must not get any foot traffic anymore. We are in but ordered at the front (no table service, which is fine!) but our food was brought out in to-go boxes. And the plates we were given were paper with no serving utensils. They used to have a fairly decent bar but not only is that gone, their drinks are very limited to some bottled options. Your team member server: L500 was extremely rude this afternoon when I picked up my order. Issue: I had a coupon on my phone that needed to be redeemed and showed to the cashier; I showed him the coupon and with a condescending and rude tone your cashier (L500) ( the boy with the light Green dyed hair and feminine voice) kept telling me with rude gestures and tone that I needed to input the coupon info on the tablet. Ps: the coupon had no number, it only needed to be showed which is what I explained to him but he kept being aggressive and some making rude gestures and attempted to argue. I asked him for an extra bbq sauce and even offered to pay and responded by saying with a condescending tone that "the store does not GiVE out sauce to customers". I left the store immediately to avoid any escalation. I am writing this formal complain for you to RE-TRAIN your employee to treat his customers with respect. A lot of us would not tolerate any disrespect especially when we spend our hard-earned money in the store. Bonchon is one of my favorite chicken spots. Went with a friend to NOVA and we made a pit stop to eat. The service was good we just ordered at the counter and seated ourselves. They brought the food out in a bag as if it were "to-go" and you got paper plates and plastic utensils. We shared a 16pc chicken strip and got sides of white rice and daikon radish. Ordered for my birthday, 16 piece strips, Korean corndog, and a couple of other things. Shorted me 4-5 strips even though I ordered and paid for the 16. Didn't give me the corn dog at all. I contacted them more than once, requested a refund for the amount they did not give me, never received a response. You'll see them leave feedback to reviews saying "please contact us", but they literally do absolutely nothing. I always enjoy "crack" chicken from this place. The soy garlic is, "Oh so good." I cannot eat the hotter flavors, but I know that they are popular. Another good dish is the fried rice which is made with the best ingredients including egg! Lots of flavor and plenty of rice. It's worth getting and you can get a great deal during lunch time. The chicken strips are delicious and the kimchi coleslaw is delicious. I like the radish too. The inside of the restaurant is always clean and plenty of seats. The bar is humongous and they have korean beers and bottled sodas. I grew up eating delicious Korean food and this maaay have been one of the reasons I was enticed to live in Korea for a year. Although my overseas adventure seems like a lifetime ago, I still love Korean cuisine and don't hesitate to check out these eateries when I get a chance. I visited this location with a few coworkers after they suggested it for a lunch outing. Right away, I was impressed with the friendly service and extensive menu. I love bibimbap, especially when you get to pick from a wide array of proteins. I opted to get the fried tofu on mine and I was not disappointed. When the hot stone bowl arrived, it was overflowing with veggies, rice, quinoa, and the tofu. The egg on top was cooked perfectly. The gochujang on the side provided a great kick to the ingredients as I stirred everything together. It was so much food that I had more than enough for a full meal the next day, too. The service is fantastic. All the servers are incredibly polite and professional. Although I do think it's somewhat humorous that I have to ask for chopsticks, I realize many diners in the area are probably more comfortable using forks. I've been to this location a few times since my initial visit and the food has always been spot on. Just be prepared for leftovers if you order the bibimbap, which makes it even more worthwhile in my book. Yum! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by after work the other day to redeem our bogo coupon that we got off FB and we learned about bonchon's happy hour menu! We love their new hh menu- cheap beers, cheap apps, and they even have wings on there. We usually go to this bonchon or the centreville one, but we prefer this location better. Centreville recently raised their prices and does not have happy hour specials. Plus the service at this manassas location has ALWAYS been great for us whereas the service in Centreville is lacking. I came here since a friend forwarded me a "buy 10, get 10" coupon. For some reason, this location wasn't as good as some of the other ones I've been to. The promotion was honored and the food was delicious (as usual!). Our server was very quick-moving but didn't do a great job explaining the promotion. She also dropped off our food and ran away quickly after. We didn't get the chance to ask for any dipping sauce or more napkins. Another employee had to come by and step in. I just completed another curbside order. This time for bulgogi and to try their chicken strips. I typically always order their soy garlic chicken wings and legs but this time I got strips and ordered half soy garlic half spicy. The chicken was amazing as usual. I love that they double crisp them but their still juicy even though they are crispy. The spicy chicken was definitely spicy, my tongue burned and I ended up having to drink something and mix it with the soy garlic to offset the heat but I loved every bit of it! Texture is just as important as taste! These things are soo addictive. Like other say, it is "chicken crack". Just mention the name Bonchon and my mouth waters (to an almost annoying degree) and I start jonesing for a chicken-fix. The texture has this crisp light crunch that makes the fresh hot ones so much more tasty. There is some kind of sugar component that crystallizes maybe. That thin crackle-crunch in your mouth really completes the experience. Both the hot ones and the garlic, I always get 50/50 mix. And when you have leftovers, slice the boneless up and make stir-fry with a wok full of your favorite veggies and you have a new meal! The place should be named "Pavlov's" This is ridiculous! The chicken was great and juicy, more fat than I remember but still good. The previous location was dry and tasted like it was cooked in an air fryer.
