This was our final visit to The Omelette Cafe. The food itself was fine, but unfortunately everything else about the experience was bad enough that I will never return. I also do not want a response from the owner or management. I genuinely wish this small local business well, but I can no longer justify giving it another chance. During our previous visits, we already felt the value compared to the pricing was becoming questionable, but we wanted the restaurant to succeed. Today sealed the deal. When we arrived, only about 4 or 5 of the roughly 12 tables were occupied, with two waiters working the dining room. Most of the empty tables were dirty, many still covered with dishes from previous customers. The floor throughout the dining room was dirty and covered with debris. One waiter asked how many were in our party and directed us to a table. He sprayed and wiped only half the table with Windex. The other half, where the condiments were sitting, remained dirty. A few minutes after sitting down, I unfortunately put my finger directly into old sticky syrup that had clearly not been cleaned. The waiter took our order fairly quickly, but then poured cream directly into our coffees instead of letting us add it ourselves. Mine ended up with far too much cream. While waiting to use the restroom, I had a clear view into the kitchen area and noticed the kitchen floor appeared just as dirty as the dining room floor. What stood out most was that neither waiter seemed aware of or concerned about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. There was no sense of urgency or attention to the condition of the dining room. After waiting several minutes for the men's restroom, one waiter told me to go ahead and use the women's restroom instead. The restroom itself seemed reasonably clean, but the paper towel dispenser was broken, and a loose roll of paper towels was sitting on top of the toilet, damp from previous use. When we were ready to leave, one waiter asked how the service was. At that point, I simply wanted to leave as quickly as possible, so I said it was fine. He then left the payment machine at the table for me to run my own card, and even the machine itself was damp and unclean. Overall, the entire restaurant felt sticky, dirty, and poorly maintained. The tables were not being properly cleaned, the floors were sticky throughout the restaurant, and the overall lack of cleanliness completely overshadowed the meal itself. I truly wish this business success, but after three visits, I will not be returning. read more

The absolute worst customer service; the food isn't bad, but it is also the worst option out there for food delivery.

According to other comments, it gets busy here but we went during a week day so did not have to wait (although one customer complained that their food took a while to get there and they were just right behind us getting into the restaurant so I don't blame them) As from me. I do love that they had a variety of omelettes (I went with the Greek). My cousin ordered a platter of some sort. He asked for 2 eggs but it sure did look like a 1 egg serving. I also got the waffle + caramel banana. We thought the food was okay. Not bad, not special. I appreciate the home comfy essence that the small restaurant gives off. read more

This place was so good! I love sausage gravy and when I saw they had an omelette that came with sausage gravy I had to get it. But I was surprised, usually when you think of sausage gravy you think of a huge heaping over the eggs but this was even better. The gravy seems folded in with the cheese and the whole thing was such a savory delight. Potatoes cooked perfectly and they didn't skimp on the butter on my bread. This is a small space so you may have to wait. They take your phone number and call you when your table is ready. There isn't a hostess stand so I had to go towards the back to ask a waiter how to get on the list. Very close to old town so stay afterwards and take a stroll to the farmers market or perhaps the train station. read more

Cute location in non-descript strip mall in downtown Manassas. Visited on a Friday before lunch rush. Made it just in time to be seated right away. Watched 3 other parties come and go because indoor seating was full. Seems like a family owned business. The two servers had great attitudes and were very attentive. Omelette Cafe has always been great in our book but this place completely leveled up and I'm here for it! During our last visit, we had Country Fried Chicken, freshly-squeezed orange juice, and crepe. I really found everything excellent! The crepe (new on their menu) was fantastic as well as the Country Fried Chicken. The service was amazing and the prices are reasonable as always. I am only giving this business one star because the review system requires at least one star in order to post a review. If I had the option, I would not give any stars at all. The female owner is extremely rude and has a very nasty attitude toward customers. She rarely wants to answer the phone, and on more than one occasion has hung up on customers instead of helping them. Customer service seems to be the last thing she cares about. In my experience, she treats certain people with much more respect than others. I have noticed that white customers and police officers receive a level of courtesy that Hispanic and Black customers often do not. The way she speaks to and looks at some people can make them feel like they are beneath her. Since opening another location in Warrenton, her attitude seems to have gotten even worse. It appears that success has gone to her head. The overall cleanliness of the business has also gone downhill. The place does not seem to be maintained the way it once was, and it no longer feels as clean or well-kept as customers would expect. One experience that particularly concerned me involved a glass of orange juice that cost nearly $7. At first, I thought I was seeing orange seeds in the drink. However, after taking a closer look, they were fruit flies. As a result, I felt disgusted consuming the drink and the food that I had to throw it away. Whether there was another explanation or not, the incident raised serious concerns for me about cleanliness and quality control. I was also disappointed with the omelet I ordered. It had an unpleasant odor that immediately made me question its freshness and quality. Combined with my other experiences, it only added to my concerns about the food being served. Ironically, the young men who work there when she is absent are far more polite, respectful, and professional than she is. They actually know how to treat customers with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, the owner's rude behavior and the decline in cleanliness overshadow the business, and because of that I cannot recommend this place. read more

Another spot to add on the list .Easy check in to get a table at this brunch spot wait time was like 5 minutes even when it was crowded and the service was overall good and the food was tasty I tired the new Orleans omelette with there house fries and fresh squeezed orange mimosa. Super simple brunch stop, this place is straight forward and super casual. The staff was sweet, patient, and helpful while dealing with my high maintenance food allergies. They realized we were there to catch up with one another and gave us time and space for our socializing and didn't rush us off, super sweet. I could tell most others were there for a quick bite and the staff were appropriately attentive with them as well. The food was straight forward, simple, and delicious. First time visiting The Omelette Cafe earlier this morning. It was rather late for breakfast - about 11:30 am or so - but they serve breakfast all day (I should say - as long as they are open). I ordered the sausage gravy over biscuits, which comes with crispy potatoes, plus two eggs over easy - and a water. Food came up quickly. Sausage gravy was tasty. As always - I add black pepper and hot sauce to the sausage gravy - and eggs. The potatoes were hot and crispy - they needed just a tad of salt - which I added. The Men's restroom is need of a renovation and cleaning. The exhaust fan grill was clogged with dust and needs to be cleaned. There was an open hole in the wall near the floor - which is probably part of the HVAC system - but the hole was uncovered and missing its vent cover. This is my second time trying out The Omelette Café, and all their breakfast choices are really delicious. Their pancakes are so good!! We sat outside and enjoyed our breakfast in the lovely weather. Service is good, they check up on you multiple times. The only downside is it's very small inside so if you plan on going with a big group of people, you may have to wait. You may have to wait to be seated in general, if you sit inside. We chose to sit outside so we didn't have to wait until someone left. Sour cream and salsa were inside the omelet and took a while to discover. The veggies were small. The home fries were actually pretty good but could use a little more salt. I ordered blueberry flavored waffles. The word "flavored" should have been a clue. The waffle itself looked good, crispy and fluffy. No butter, was not given syrup, large dollop of whipped cream ream instead. The "blueberry flavor" was the smallest amount of a blueberry jelly that was just dragged across the top of the corners. It would be easy enough to add fresh blueberries to a base batter when ordered. This was ridiculous The website listed several coffee and espresso items, apparently it's only the new Warrenton location. Their coffee was watered down, they pour the cream for you if you ask for it instead of letting you do your own. My husband asked for sweet tea, they didn't say they didn't have sweet tea, they just made it for him, would have preferred to be told they had tea and brought him sugar. The kitchen needs to keep the wait staff informed... I ordered the Nova lox bagel and an iced tea when the waiter brought our food out mine was missing one of the main ingredients I asked where the capers were and was then informed they were out Would have ordered somethung different had I known. Just moved to the area and was looking for a dog friendly place to eat outside. We were able to easily get outdoor seating but then the restaurant filled up fast. Servers were very nice and good, but kitchen seemed behind. That was ok with us since we were not in a hurry. It's bearable if it isn't packed but this place is pretty popular so even on a weekday for breakfast/brunch, it can have a decent crowd in there. If you can help it; don't sit near their register. The last time we went there; there were quite a few gig workers and people congregating right next to our table waiting for their take out orders. It was alittle off putting trying to eat while having someone standing behind you. Service is OK. The food comes out within 10-15 minutes; I consider that to be the best part of the service. However, the serving staff are primarily high school/college aged and they could use more training. Refills tend to be hard to come by and they can be rather heavy handed on the cream in your coffee so be sure to tell them to go easy on the cream. Love a cute local spot. Myself and 4 of my friends ended up here for brunch because we wanted something quick but delicious. When we pulled up there were people standing outside waiting so we were already stressing the wait was going to be long. Always go and check the wait time because we were anticipating 45 minute wait when in reality it was only 5 minutes. I will say, this is not a place for large parties. The five of us crammed at a 4 person table. It was tight but cozy I guess lol The service was super friendly and the waitstaff are all teens. Keep that in mind before you think about snapping at them that your order is wrong. They didn't get everything 100% correct for us but were trying their best. This isn't an easy industry to work in so we have to give our service workers some grace. Ok now let's get into this food honey. I got the Traditinal Eggs Benedict with "home fries" I put that in quote because they're just slightly fried potatoes, not the fried cubes that are actually homefries. They should have just been called potatoes and could have used a little onion for flavor. But all in all the food was delicious. All of my friends enjoyed their meals and we all LOVED the prices. I had come to the omelette cafe like almost 8 years ago when they were first new. I felt their food was super greasy and unappetizing, so I didn't go back for a long time. Well, this year I went back. they have improved so much! They are attentive and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious. Their home fries/potatoes are the best I have had. They are PERFECT, mushy in the inside crunchy on the outside, not burnt, not salty, not soggy. I can't get over their home fries/potatoes--they make my mouth water just thinking of them. Really disappointed in my last visit. I ordered the steak and eggs - one of their more expensive breakfasts. 8:30 on a weekday. They were not very busy. Ordered eggs over medium and steak medium rare. Steak was well done, eggs WAY overcooked and potatoes half cooked. I politely answered the waiter (never really checked on me) when he asked about my breakfast and told him about the food quality. He replied that the main cook was not in yet... NEVER offered to correct the meal, offer a discount or comp anything! So I payed, tipped, got a carry out box and fed it to my animals... Not sure I will visit again. Place has potential and I tried to find an email to reach out to the owner, but nothing on their website offers a place to comment, so YELP is unfortunately my only venue. Checked this place out for busy Sunday brunch. Even though we got our seats right away, with only one waitress working, it took a while for her to take our order. Warrenton location just opened. Took 50 minutes to get order and not right. Bagels were Walmart quality. Omelette itself was okay. Way under staffed I have not tried the Manassas location. If it was well rated then the Warrenton crew needs to substantially up their game. read more

I've been here about 3x. The first two times were good and the food is usually delicious. Today I decided to come grab some French toast, eggs and bacon. My French toast was burnt and cold. I came all the way back just for one of the workers to tell me because I "touched it" that I needed to re pay for new food. I said no this is burnt first and foremost. He proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do and laughed in my face when I asked for a manger/ to call him since he wasn't in. The customer service is terrible. I woke up and decided to support a local business who laughed in my face because they messed up. Just be warned before going that the customer service is trash. We went here for Mother's Day brunch. Service was great and food was good, but it was very expensive. My husband had the steak and eggs which was thirty dollars. I had the avocado omelet with a side of turkey sausage patties. Mine came with fresh fruit which was not ripe & inedible. It is also came with choice of bread. I got the everything bagel they sliced & toasted. It tasted stale. I ate only 1 slice of the 4 slices. Our daughter had french toast and eggs. It is not a fancy place at all but their prices are like fine dining prices. $6 for a 8oz cup of oj that was very orange like Tang orange. It was $73 & we left $14.60 tip & they charged 10% tax, why?
