I read great reviews about the chain so decided to drive out of my way to try them. I used the app to speed up the process so I could make it to my next appointment on time. I arrived 11 minutes after the pickup time but could not find my order. I asked and found out the reason my order wasn't ready was because the cookie I ordered was not available. I had to settle for a cookie I didn't even want. The macaroni was completely overcooked and mushy. I threw most of this away. Oddly enough, Potbelly sent me a review request which I was happy to provide feedback with all of the above. That was 6 days ago. Part of the review process, they asked if they would be able to contact me to follow up regarding my feedback. I provided my contact info, but have never heard back. I guess they really don't care about customers either new or repeat. Their lack of feedback has solidified my view on my experience and I will not be back. For the 2nd year in a row, I have made a huge catering order with the Towson location specifically for a Memorial Service for the Knights of Columbus Council of which I am a member. Each year has been phenomenal service from beginning to end. From the placing of the order to me calling to verify, and then my picking it up, it's always been smooth, friendly, and professional. They helped me bring the food to my van. In addition to the great customer service, naturally the food was fantastic!!! I love me a good sandwich and the options are plenty at Potbelly's. I went with my tried and true order of turkey, Swiss, lettuce, tomato and extra mayo. You get your choice of bread and they toast the bread, meat and cheese before adding the toppings. I didn't realize my sandwich was going to be toasted. Wow this place didn't disappoint on my Turkey club!! This club has tender Turkey, apple wood bacon and cheese! As soon as I opened my sandwich my mouth began to water. I took a bite & it was delicious. This was my first time at this restaurant so I didn't know what to expect. The place was clean, not overly crowded and the staff was very friendly. This was my second time visiting Potbelly's and I honestly wasn't a fan my first visit. Can't even remember which sandwich I tried. However, I wanted to give this place another try and I'm so happy I did. I tried the skinny sized chicken club on white bread. Grilled chicken, smoked bacon and cheddar cheese. Added lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. The sandwich was well toasted which I loved and the flavor was pretty good. Very satisfying for a quick dinner. I paired the sandwich with the NOLA mesquite bbq chips which were pretty good. I like kettle cooked chips. I also decided to try their chocolate chip brownie cookie. The cookie was pretty good. Not overly sweet and I loved the brownie texture! Very well made. So happy I gave this place a second chance. I'll be back for another sandwich! read more

I tried out my local Potbelly recently--at least the one closest to me. Located out in Towson on LaSalle Rd. I placed my order in person and used the app, both of which were quick and easy. For my sandwich, I got the Mediterranean on a whole grain bun. The sandwich featured chicken, feta cheese, hummus, artichoke hearts, red peppers, and cucumber. Overall, nice healthy foods. I was glad the it was wrapped so even dining in, I had a neat start. As stated the hummus did have a zesty hit to it, which I enjoyed. The ingredients fell out a bit once I took my first bite but I enjoyed the food. I didn't get a meal; just the sandwich. Solid experience here at Potbelly. The bread was fresh as well and you do get it heated up which was a plus. I'd come back in the future and try some other sandwiches. I can safely say that the chocolate chip cookie I got was huge. I can't deal with this place anymore and I'm not ordering from here anymore. First, let's start with how they can't even MAKE a sandwich correctly. I have given this place many shots. Great location with great food and great service! I stopped in for lunch with my wife since she had never been to a Pot Belly. The store was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful especially for newcomers. The sandwich's are fresh and made to order. I had the Grilled chicken with cheddar. The chicken was a little dry but overall very good. My wife had the Turkey club and if was fantastic! The bacon had a Smokey, pepper flavor that was unique. A great Potbelly location and I really love that all soups are now available all days. Previously their online menu and store would not match up sometimes. Okay, full disclosure, I am totally kicking myself in the butt tonight for taking so long to check Potbelly Sandwich Shop out sooner but trust and believe I have seen the error of my ways. Hubby had to have a tooth pulled this evening and his dentist's office is right across the street from Potbelly so I figured it would be a good idea to pick up some dinner afterwards before heading home. Being that this was my first time here I had to take a few minutes to read the menu board(s) to see exactly what I wanted but the young lady behind the counter was super friendly and explained to me the ordering process and how things worked at Potbelly. I ended up ordering the "pick a pair" for myself and got a cup of their Chicken Enchilada soup paired with 1/2 "A Wreck" signature sandwich and got a bowl of their Broccoli Cheddar Soup for hubby. First off, I am super picky about my soups and super particular when it comes to soups similar to Chicken Tortilla but their Chicken Enchilada soup immediately made me regret not ordering at least a bowl to go. The broth was perfectly seasoned - sweet, savory and spicy in each and every spoonful, with hearty chunks of chicken breast, sweet corn and peppers - trust and believe that I savored that final spoonful. The sandwich was also quite delicious, I substituted ranch for mayo and added onions on a toasted multi-grain roll. Hubby equally enjoyed his Broccoli Cheddar but after sneaking a bite of my Chicken Enchilada Soup when I turned my back he immediately made it clear that we would be returning this weekend so he could get his own bowl. Potbelly Sandwich Co. is, hands down, 100 times better than Panera Bread for so many reasons, below I have listed just a few 1. Staff is friendly and welcoming and actually have personalities 2. Food is so much better - fresher, tastier and more bang for your buck 3. Costs far less 4. I gave this place some time, in hopes the ISSUES they continually have may have been resolved. The only thing that is consistent is they are perfect when it comes to missing requests AND serving soup that has been sitting so long, it's become sludge. The broccoli soup was so disgusting and thick, I threw it out. It must be insanity that keeps me going back, hoping for at least edible food. It just doesn't happen.... EVER! From management who clearly can't fix ongoing issues, to employees who obviously don't care what or how they prepare and package food. NEVER AGAIN will I spend one single cent at Potbelly. This is our first visit to any Potbelly and we were very impressed! We originally went over to Applebee's in the same parking lot for dinner but it had a 30-minute wait so we decided to try something new and we're very glad we did! We were the only people in the restaurant which was even better. We were able to take our time figuring out what we wanted instead of feeling rushed to make a decision. very upset about my order that was just delivered tonight! Usually what. I order from Potbelly Deli, my orders are flawless. I ordered balsamic vinaigrette to be added to my sandwich. and when I opened, there was no balsamic vinaigrette on it, so I called and told the employee who answered the phone, and her snarky reply was..."So what do you want me to do about it?!" That not how you talk to a customer who is displeased with the their order. The. she goes on to tell me she did not make the sandwich and when the sticker prints out for the orders that the print is small so the employee making the sandwich probably didn't see it. That is their job to get the orders they are making correct. So displeased with my dinner and the customer service I received tonight. I work in customer service and that is not how I would treat my custoners at all! May not be going back there or ever ordering delivery again from them after this experience. This is a brand new location of Potbelly. Having never been to a Potbelly Store before I was curious to see what it was all about. I'm not a fan of Subway, and the only Quiznos in town had just shut down. My friends and I discovered it while driving by and decided one week to try it. Ambiance: At first glance you'd think this was the Starbucks of Sandwiches. Very hipster atomsphere surrounded by hard wood and shelves of books and music with chalkboards. It was very interesting looking at eye catching. However it would lead one to believe this was a very high end place like Starbucks is. Price: Contrary to its appearance, this is the cheapest, but highest in quality sub shops I've ever been to. over 5 bucks for a regular sub and over 6 bucks for the "Biggie" which is actually a large and has a good serving size. You get a lot of bang for your back here. Food: the sub was delicious, was prepared quickly. My friends who got Pizza Subs, when I saw them they were billowing with steam. A good hot sub is hard to find at a chain. Usually they are just warmed. The ingredients tasted great, my friends raved about how thin and crispy the Pepperoni was. I got a Roast Beef. Things like Extra Meat, Cheese, and Bacon cost extra, anywhere from .50 to 1.50 but worth it. They also have more satisfying alternatives to Chips. But they do offer a great premium array of Chips as well. They carry Potato Salad and Macaroni Salad, I got the Potato, my friend the Mac Salad. We both flipped on how great they both were. It was one of the best potato salads I had. the portion was very small, but worth the 2 buck price tag with how great it tasted. For desert they have very large cookies and some tasty bars as well. I had the mysterious "Dream Bar" Oats, Maple, Brown Sugar, Chocolate, it was fantastic. I could buy a dozen of those. They do sell there cookies and bars by the package as well, I've yet to find a sandwich shop to do that. So although the bar was small and was about 2 bucks, the taste was once again worth it! Customer Service: For this location at least, probably the most helpful, most paitent, and friendliest staff I've ever met. They looked so thrilled to be working there, smiles all around. I asked for a different kind of cheese, no problem, no extra cost. My friend asked for ingredients off his sandwich, again no problem. Sandwhich was put together nicely, toasted and wrapped quickly. And the staff chatted and made jokes. Were all very knowledgeable too. I got lost and they directed me as it was my first time. I asked questions, they answered in a heartbeat. These people amazed me on all levels A+++. Overall I can say Great Price, Nice location, Awesome Value, Amazing Staff, Rockin Sandwiches and Accompaniments and Yes FREE Wi-Fi!! I like that they have different portion sizes (like $4 for a "lite" sandwich with less bread) and that they toast the sandwiches. But the guy behind the counter actually cuts out the middle of a sandwich roll for the lite version, so you gotta wonder what they do with the extra bread, throw it away? Seems wasteful. Maybe they should get thinner rolls for the lite sandwiches. Also, we had 3 different counter workers help us - one to make the sandwiches, one to put on condiments, and a third to ring us up. But we had to repeat our order three times, as each person asked, "What did you order?." Seems like more work for the customer. I didn't think the workers seemed happy to be there either. The cashier was actually sitting at a table outside, just hanging out, when we first arrived. I thought he was just a customer and was surprised when he appeared behind the counter. Yum. Potbelly's are the best sandwich chain going. This new location is going like gangbusters. The staff are eager and so enthusiastic to spread the Potbelly word in Towson! The system is flawless here, but somewhat challenging for first-timers. They are capable of keeping the line moving briskly by doing assembly line work. You need to be ready to order and ready to tell the sandwich maker what toppings you want. Meatball, the Wreck, and the standard deli meat type sandwiches are all good. The Mediterranean is new this summer, hummus and roasted peppers and even better with chicken. Lovely outdoor area. After your sandwich, they have delicious cookies.
