Nalley Fresh is my absolute favorite and I've been enjoying it for years! However, I was disappointed with my recent visit as it seems prices have increased and quantities have decreased. I feel like my recent bowl was all rice and no protein and I was the only person ordering, so it wasn't due to hurrying or anything. Needed a quick healthy meal and this place always hits the spot. No was here when I arrived. The interior was clean and the people working the counter were nice. The brown rice bowl tasted fresh and the spicy dressing really added a nice touch. I will say the meal and a drink was close to $19 which seems rather excessive. Freshest of all the Nalley Fresh's that I've ever visited! Good staff for the most part and quite efficient service! The greens are always crispy and fresh! The salmon is thickly cut so you get your money's worth. The veggie add-ons are also fresh and tasty, never wilted or stale! I'm so disappointed! I've been going to Nalley Fresh for years. It's my go-to for amazing salads. Today, I noticed that $1 was added to get any chicken as a protein. I think the only free ones were tuna and tofu! Prices for egg and avocado increased too. The homemade bread that was so fresh and warm was replaced with half a piece of store bought wheat bread. Get a free salad after 10 visits was replaced with $10 off, so I paid $4. So sad that my favorite place is no longer a great spot, but watered down attempt to stay open. read more

I'm actually not normally a fan of salads, but I really like this place! I heard many great things about this place, but never wanted to go because of how much I don't like salads. I'm glad I finally gave it a try because it's now one of my favorite lunch spots close to work. The menu can be a little confusing and I thought I could only eat the salads and wraps because all the bowls say "chicken broth," but I figured out that you can get any of the bowls with veggie broth because they don't add that until the end. I've tried the Asian salad with curry tofu, the fiesta salad with falafel, and the Cajun bowl with falafel. All 3 were amazing! The bread they give you with the salad is also pretty good and a great addition since you're not getting much carbs in the salad to fill you up. The servings are pretty large and I definitely leave full, but never stuffed as I normally do at places and that's a good thing! I don't leave here feeling overly stuffed and bloated from carbs. read more

Even though the food is good, recently the staff has been unnecessarily rude and ungenerous with portions at Nalley Fresh in Timonium, MD. The meals themselves are going downhill because of this. There is a large variety of items to include in the salad. The prices are good for the amount of salad purchased. However, recently, the staff is really irritated when you ask to include more toppings / salad dressing in the dish. I politely mentioned to the staff that the large number of toppings in the salad is the primary reason I come to Nalley for lunch. There are many lunch places / choices around, and it should be in their interest to attract customers to Nalley. She pointed to the door and told me to go somewhere else for lunch. That was so rude! That is NOT the way to treat customers. I am very disappointed with Nalley Fresh in Timonium, MD! There are, indeed, many other places where one can get lunch and not be offended. I think this is my first time coming to a Nalley Fresh (Thursday, 06/28/18). For a newbie the options can be overwhelming they have a ton of choices and combinations for freshness served in a bowl lol. Since I didn't feel like reading through all of the descriptions of the already made up combinations I just made my own salad. I got lettuce, corn, chicken, beans, onions, carrots, and some other stuff lol. I got bleu cheese dressing and I think they put too much on it for my liking so I'll know that for next time to ask for light dressing and to ask for some extra on the side if need be. I got my salad to eat in and it was served with a nice piece of earthy multigrain type bread. Nice touch. I would come back but I would try something else next time. read more

We come here every time we're in town. The ONLY reason it loses 1 star is that it's fairly spendy; we average around $16 per person, and I really don't think it should be quite that much. This local brand is really starting to flourish as the premier healthy fast-ish food option in Baltimore County. Offering a variety of creative options, any menu item can be completely customized or you can create one from scratch. Every location celebrates the freshest of locally sourced ingredients. The taste of each dish is obvious validation of that effort. The Timonium location features a good-sized outdoor seating option, with roughly 10 tables. The plaza they're in always offers good people watching, and the outdoor patio is under an overhang so most evenings you're in the shade. The service at this place is always solid, but at times feels a bit rushed. If you're going here for the first time, you'll find yourself ordering something, and then being caught off guard as each station in the ordering process barks out options for your immediate choosing. After this first baptism, it starts to feel normal. This place is a vegan's dream come true, but there are plenty of meat options as well. My favorite item is the sweet potato bowl ($8). It's a wild combination of elements that I'd never independently mix (sweet potato, chicken bacon, white vinaigrette dressing, etc.). Very enjoyable! Anyways, this is by far the healthiest place to eat in Baltimore County. If you're trying to change your body and want to really adjust your diet, this place will prove as a meaningful piece of the puzzle if you tend to eat out more often than not. 4-stars is the rating! I love Nalley Fresh, but this location does not impress me. I have been here more times than my check ins say I have and there are a few poor things I have noticed each time I visit. There is always someone in the assembly line who is rude and tries to rush you. I brought my friend here for her first time and she said she felt rushed and that people helping her were so rude and made her uncomfortable. In the end, she was unhappy with her purchase and felt like she could have been treated with better customer service. Another thing I do not like about this location is the amount of meat you get. They are very stingy. At the Towson location, they really pile it on, but at Timonium if you ask for more, they will not even give you one more measly piece of chicken without charging extra. The only redeeming factors of Timonium are the longer hours and the kale (Towson does not have kale as a green option). read more

I was introduced to the brand via the Baltimore Street location downtown, and it's just as good here as it is there. They seem to have more options here, or it could be my imagination, but it's always plentiful and served up with a smile. It's pretty easy to go hog-wild here with the ingredients and make a REALLY bad bowl - but that's the customer's fault and doesn't bear on the employees here, who are always very nice and willing to help you out with suggestions. There are a couple of things that aren't my cup of tea at this location, though - - The floors are made of this irritating "pebble/rock" style laminate, which wouldn't be a huge deal if I didn't have to roll a big stroller over it. My poor daughter was wobbled around so much that if she'd been holding a glass of milk, she'd have had a shake by the time we got to the table. - I don't know if it's the volume of people at this location or what, but more than once I've visited here and it hasn't been the cleanest of atmospheres. Tables are sometimes dirty and unwashed, with bits of Nalley ingredients laying everywhere. This is NOT the case in any other Nalley I've been to. - For the size of this place, it feels kind of claustrophobic inside. Again, it could be because I'm lugging around a stroller that's the size of a Smart Car, but still.... As I've only had a Cesar wrap (twice) and a custom made bow. Wonderful selections of proteins, vegetables, and sides. Mac and cheese was pretty good, I've had better and yet I've had worse. There was fountain soda selections, bottle selections, and even pouch drinks for kids. More so on the healthy side of fast food. When we got there, one of my coworker's orders had never been made. The manager claimed this was a computer error. When they pulled the order up, they made it and bagged it for us. We then left. When we got to the office her order was wrong. I'm not sure which customer's food we got, but it definitely was not what she ordered. Other orders came incomplete-- missing sauces or other items. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap. When I ordered it online, it said that romaine, pumpkin seeds, Parmesan cheese, croutons, egg, and Caesar dressing were included with my protein. I opened my wrap when I got back to my office & the egg and dressing were missing!!! My food was dry and inedible. In the past, I have loved my experience here. We love Nalley Fresh for what it is- a fast, healthy(ier) choice that can satisfy everyone in your group. My teenager and I usually hit up Nalley Fresh when I can't eat another bowl, burrito, etc from the other place that lets you pick what toppings you want. We love this location, though on weekends, it's pretty busy. They move fast, and are friendly, so service is great. Plenty of seating, and people don't tend to hang out too long. read more

The selection and display of the food was very confusing and there was no help from the ignorant staff, who made comments to each other about me in a different language followed by giggling. Aside from the awful service and below average food, I got salmonella from this place. I tried it yesterday for the first time, excited because I had heard great things about this eatery, but as I was eating my salad, I could only eat about half of it because of the overwhelming taste of vinegar and peppers. I felt fine after leaving and for the rest of the night, but this morning at about 11 am (I ate my food at around 6 or 7 pm), my stomach began to be in immense pain. My first visit and it won't be my last. Jason was helpful as I selected my base, protein and toppings. I chose brown rice, Old Bay chicken, a combo of spinach and spring mix, roasted beets, edamame, quinoa, chicken bacon (who knew), corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, craisins, and a little bit of broth.
