This potbelly is just not it. If you're expecting to get in and out fast, this isn't the store for you. I ordered online and expected to pick up my food from the mobile order shelf, but was surprised the shelf was empty. Instead, it seemed like people who mad mobile orders were waiting around in front of the door. The store wasn't very busy but the man who seemed to be the manager was running around the store flustered. When people went up to ask about their mobile order he told them they needed to wait. Once the line was gone, I told him I was picking up my order. I had seen my order behind the counter, but he turned me away and said I needed to wait my turn. Why do you have a shelf for mobile and online orders if you're not going to use it? I ordered ahead so I could be in and out, but instead I had to wait 20 minutes for my food that was already packed and paid for. Otherwise the food is decent, but not worth the experience. read more

This was my first time ever eating at any Potbelly's location. In fact, I had never heard of Potbelly's until one day I was driving out of Chicago on I-55, looking for a spot to eat lunch. Yelp led me to Potbelly's. I like the concept. It's like Subway or Quizno's but... better! Service was good, and the food was tasty and a nice change from the usual sub shops. I got a tuna melt, which might just have been one of the best tuna melts I've ever eaten. Not sure why Potbelly's hasn't found its way to California yet. I noticed that there are some in Phoenix, AZ. I'll need to keep that in mind for the future. If I had a Potbelly's close to home, I think I would eat there often. read more

The girl putting toppings on my sandwhich asked me 3 separate times what I wanted and repeated it back to me wrong each time. When she finally got it, or so I thought, I opened up my sandwhich and I was missing 2 of the 5 toppings I asked for. I love Potbelly, but not a great experience at this one. read more

Potbelly Sandwiches are good so I really need not review that section. The ambience at this place is really calming. People in here are very friendly and neat. But as prev yelp reviews, in the afternoons they get really busy and parking becomes a problem but it does not effect the waiting inside. They are quick !!! I removed a star as alternatively they good up the order. Inspite of telling them no mushroom on both, they end up putting them! It pisses me off so many times! But rest all is happy :-) read more

So went to get family food... Manager middle aged man ; super unfriendly. Only time he spoke to you is when he could not hear you are wanted to tell you what you are doing wrong . My family is large i bought over fifty dollars worth of food. not one sandwich was labeled. most sandwiches were skimpy on the items mostly bread... NOT to say was there people waiting in line, he did nothing but stand there and look, We go here often. Have to say not worth spending a dime.. Great to have Potbelly in the neighborhood. Service was excellent for it being the first day, food was as good as usual. Their sandwich "A Wreck", rocks...love that they toast the whole thing, but it doesn't get all stale and hard. Hope the service stays as good. read more

This is a really cool place. I see them going up all over but never had the chance to stop by. I had the Italian. It was actually very good. The service was right on and the prices weren't that bad either. Very inviting atmosphere. There is a guy playing the guitar and it not that bad. But sometimes he can get a little load. My family likes Pot Belly more than other sandwich places and I like their salads. This particular Pot Belly is a smaller store so when it gets crowded not much room to move and if there is a singer at lunch, that poor person is nearly shoved outside. Great Staff, great owners and GREAT FOOD. One thing I love about going into a business is an active manager and with this place it appears to have one. The food is great because it's Potbelly. But the service in this store is the worse even when the store manager is there "Misael" I came in nobody's welcome you, and finally after I got my sandwich it took them 6 min to charge me because nobody know what's going on there. And for than they even charged me for wrong items. They ruined my dinner I was so upset I canceled the order and left. I won't step into this store anymore!!! And because this is the only store close enough to my home/work so probably I won't eat Potbelly anymore. read more

We flew into Midway from LAX and stayed in a nearby hotel to check out some Chicago area colleges. We like to try local shops and restaurants and stopped in Potbelly. The sandwiches were delicious (two of us had the original roast beef, one had turkey), the service was so friendly, and there was live music at lunchtime on. Thursday! What a treat! My husband says go for the biggie sandwich because you'll want more. read more

On Friday 2/21/14, I went in for lunch after a very rough morning that consisted of a car accident that totaled my car. Tom, who was working behind the register during my visit, was extremely polite and accommodating. He truly helped my day turn around for the better and I want to acknowledge him for that. On one hand it is kind of incredible how many times a week/month I eat here and how my coworkers are usually there just as frequently. On the other, the sandwiches are really good, if a bit bread heavy. The value is high. The cookies are amazing. And with online ordering it's super easy to just skip the line and go to the front. read more

Garbage staff. Garbage service. HIRE NEW PEOPLE. They didn't know what kind of soup they were even serving and then made me pay extra for their mistake! OUTRAGEOUS. They completely disrespected me, and told me that they only had one type of cheese and I couldn't choose any other. On top of that the tables were disgusting and so were the bathrooms. Inexperienced emlpoyees with attitude and a complete pigsty. WORST POTBELLY I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Either hire pleasant employees or close the place down. After a family dentist visit & on the way to drop my wife at work we stopped to pick her up something for lunch. I hadn't planed on ordering anything until I spotted pastrami on the menu. I ordered one with regular bread, yellow mustard, Swiss cheese, and pickle, I couldn't wait to try it. I'm sorry to say besides the missing cheese and the wrong style mustard it was the worst pastrami I have ever tasted. It kind of reminds me of the Carl Buddig lunch meat I was forced to eat as a child. Uneatable is the best way I can think of to describe it. Pot Belly missed the boat on this one. read more
