Love this little food truck. Always delicious, my favorite are the won ton tacos. The service is really good and they are accommodating with switching things up a bit to make it exactly how I like it. They now offer a healthy salad option that is very good. The atmosphere is outside, so of course it is great.

I ate at their food truck for Dancing In The Streets event and tried their veggie wonton taco. It was very flavorful and yummy! I wish they added whole beans to it so there was a little protein to it... please please add some beans! (Or as an option?!)

Pork Potstickers, Plain Fries, and Esquite Fries. YUM!

Amazing. I cannot say hoe incredible the food was after working up an appetite. It was so delicious. I love thier pot stickers and loaded fries. The chef was super nice.

I sure do feel LUCKY that the potluck is in Reno! Love this food truck. Gave them a go for the first time at food truck Fridays and was very impressed! I'm a sucker for elote so when I saw crispy wonton elote tacos - I knew I had to try them. They were so delicious. Crisped to perfection but not overly oily. We also tried the bulgogi potstickers and I am still dreaming of those potstickers. I wish I could buy them in bulk and have them at home - so delicious! This truck is totally unique to any other food truck I've eaten at, staff was great despite being busy, food came out hot and fresh. What more can you ask for.

Food trucks usually aren't as creative as I would like them to be. But Potluck is definitely one of my favorite trucks in Reno. I LOOOOOOOVE Elote and they do it so well that I ordered up myself an order of Elote Tots. No need for chicken, these tots were top 10!! We also ordered up the tacos which were a great fusion take and priced as expected. Food trucks don't really have ambience or discernible service differences because you order at a window and they give you the food and you go away. So really it's just about speed and food quality and Potluck get's great scores on both of those for me. I don't know how often they are at the location that I caught them, but it is a great spot. A big deck off Virginia Street and Martin with a number of establishments nearby to get a refreshing drink.

Good if you're craving some comfort food! Huge portion of the fries I got at Feed the Camel. Chicken and elote combo was a winner, but the entire portion was way too heavily salted, especially for such a hot summer day. Remove some salt and it would've been perfect!

Pork Potstickers w/ Sweet Chili Sauce

Even though we have heard great things about this food truck, we did not have the best of LUCK with them (see what I did there?) We visited the Potluck Truck during Feed The Camel (arguably Reno's best Food Truck event but that's for another review.) The line was decent so the guys were a bit behind, which is totally forgivable during their main rush. Since a few items were out of stock, we went for the traditional pork potstickers and an order of churros for good measure. I know that the draw is that their potstickers are hand-made from real ingredients, but they definitely tasted like the frozen grocery store variety. Filling was not bad, just not special. The wrapper wasn't particularly crisp or flavorful and they were relatively small. I think my favorite part was the sweet chili sauce that was drizzled on top... because really, who doesn't love sweet chili sauce? The churros were definitely out of a bag with regular old Hersheys syrup. I can't ding them for that though because they were still tasty enough! Overall, I think I was disappointed that we didn't get an outstanding potsticker from a food truck with that namesake. We've had amazing dumplings from a food truck before so our expectations were set very high!

Potluck Truck at the Emerson on Sunday Funday Valentines evening ~ woohoo!! andd serving up a Special Valentines Get Lucky Box this was a PERFECT meal for my hubby and I!! Get Lucky Box cam with Four (4) Potstickers, Four (4) Wonton Tacos, Side of Plain Fries and Two (2) Dessert Wonton Tacos for $25 per Box ~ count us IN!! We opted for 2 pork with peppers, onion & thai chili sauce and 2 buffalo chicken with chicken, carrot, celery, cream cheese & buffalo sauce potstickers, 2 cheeseburger with ground beef cheese, lettuce, tomato & cheeseburger aioli and 2 chicken elote with shredded chicken, corn, cojita & sour cream wonton tacos and the dessert wontons had chocolate, cream cheese with fresh strawberries ~ yummilicious goodness! (apologies for the pictures having an odd color to them, we were inside with a movie playing (insert oopsy face emoji) These were flavorful, fresh and tasty!! Potluck Truck is a yummyyy addition to the food truck scene!! Enjoyed having the pop-up option for food while we enjoyed our Sunday Funday Valentine evening out at the Emerson. Definitely unique take on wontons and potstickers with flavorful combinations to included fresh ingredients. Potluck has put passion into their small bites for tasting experience.

    Hot Cheeto Fries
    Christiane W.

I've had their food a few times at The Eddy. Everything I've tried has been pretty amazing. So let's talk about their food: Hot Cheeto Fries: If you love hot Cheetos, you'll love these fries. It has a perfect blend of spicy, crunchy, and cheesy flavors. The fries, ground beef, velveeta cheese, lettuce, tomato, and hot Cheetos work so well together. This is a great dish to eat while drinking at the bar. Elote Chicken Fries: I'm such a big fan of these fries. I crave them often! The simplicity of this dish, the flavors, and the overall taste....makes these fries pretty magical. Fries, Chicken, Elote, and cotija cheese....bam, you got this tasty dish. After eating this, I've always wanted more. Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos: These wonton tacos are loaded with all of the flavors of a cheeseburger. So crunchy, flavorful, and delicious. Topped with a cheeseburger aioli which is fire. Chicken Elote Wonton Tacos: These are tasty. All of the flavors of this taco work so well together. Add the crunch of the wonton taco, they become slightly addicting. Squeeze some lime on top and it really elevates this taco. Buffalo Chicken Potstickers: This is a good little snack, especially when you're having a couple drinks. They're not your typical potstickers. These are crispy filled with delicious flavors. I really liked the combination of the Buffalo sauce and the cream cheese in these tasty treats. Every dish comes with a fortune cookie, which is a fun addition. Now let's talk service! The guys on the truck are always friendly and great. I experienced an interesting situation with a gal that was the cashier. I ordered a bunch of food: 12 wonton tacos and 2 Elote Chicken Fries. She even read back my order to me. When we got our food, we only received half of our order. The cook looked so confused because he made what was on the ticket. It appeared that she failed to write everything I ordered, down on the ticket. This was their last order of the night, so they had stopped making food after us. He apologized and gave us some of our money back. It was disappointing because that was our dinner and now we had to figure out what else to eat since we didn't have enough food to fill us up. Despite this situation, I will still order food from this food truck because it's that good. Hopefully next time, I'll be able to enjoy all of my food that I order.

Wow! What an awesome food truck this is! My company used them for our version of "Food Truck Friday" and we will definitely be using them again! Not only is it quick and friendly service but the food is oh so tasty! We bought one of each thing and I gotta say; there wasn't a single item on the menu I didn't like! The toffee was made by a family member and was a perfect ending to a great meal. If anyone is looking for a vegetarian friendly, exceptionally hospitable and super delicious vendor for your next gathering then look no further! Potluck is where it is at! Thank you guys for everything, can't wait to have you back! Our customers LOVED you!

    Shane C.

Late night cravings! Every time I see this food truck, I have to order the chicken elote tacos. I love that they use fried wonton wrappers for the shells and the crisp on the potstickers are perfection! $8.99 for 3 tacos and $7 for 3 potstickers. You can usually find them at the Stick where they also serve brunch and bar foods like wings, burgers, jalapeño poppers, etc. The service is always great and fast. I can't wait to go back and try the ahi nachos and bulgogi potstickers!

This is one of the best sandwiches I've had. I also got clam chowder as my side which was also really good, not too salty. The service was really great! Any of the servers who saw we had empty glasses refilled them or cleared plates. There is a beautiful outdoor patio area, it was about a 30 minute wait. Airy and bright atmosphere, lots of windows and outdoor patio seating on those nice days. I tried the grilled cheese with short rib and homemade chips. The ribs were tender and the sauce savory. It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.

It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great, food was yummy and we definitely look forward to going back again soon!

I enjoyed the bee sting pizza, hot and sweet, and I love the combination. When I go back it will definitely be pizza, salad and cauliflower. The sever was a sweet young man. He was attentive to our needs and patient with all our questions. The restaurant is a good size, the bar area was busy and filled with conversation and laughter, the booths looked cozy, we chose a table near windows for outside lighting. It was such a beautiful day.... where can we eat outside?…read more I found "The Spot", its in the old Smee's location on the river. When we showed up, we asked if we could sit at a table outside, the guy was a little overwhelmed, he said "I can sit you in 10 mins". I said "can we have this table". OK, but....just know I'll be with you as soon as I get caught up, I'm totally fine with that I said. . He bought us a couple menus to look over. Then a table on the railing with shade opened up, I didn't care about the table was dirty with dishes, so we decided to move. I love to look at the river and watch the people go by. The server said, I'll be over soon! He was never so happy when Sierra showed up to help him out. He came over to our table I said "I hope you don't mind, I moved to be in the shade, I know I'm one of those pain in the ass customers". Then he started joking with me and it was the perfect ice breaker. My server and part owner's name is Casey! He is an awesome guy and such a hard worker to ensure his customers are taken care of. I love that. We had a couple beers, he has quite the selection of beers on tap, he supports the community breweries such as Lead Dog and Revisions. My husband had the breakfast burrito $13, it was huge with homemade tortilla chips with salad and guacamole. I had the fish and chips. You get three large pieces of fish, fries and yummy coleslaw. I love how they put the tater sauce and ketchups in personal cups for you that shows class. My fish was absolutely delicious better than the old Smees and especially the new location. You get a nice meal for $20. They have indoor, outdoor, bar seating. They have a little merch area and a gaming bar if you feel lucky. This was not a cake at all. It was a hot skillet of creamy and chunky lump crab with perfectly toasted and oiled sourdough bread. Absolutely delish! Our next trial was the Foie Gras two ways. I'm not a huge Foie gras guy but the person who I was dining with is, and she said it was very good. I thought it was tasty but its, just not my favorite dish. We also ordered the deep fried goats cheese. This dish comes with a spring mix salad and roasted beets along with toasted sourdough. Very large portion and very tasty. For the entree I had the pan seared tilefish. I've had tilefish in the past and I am a big fan. This dish did not disappoint. Laid upon fresh peas and a sauce that was similar to a green mole but without any spice or heat, the different flavors danced together like a party in your mouth. my host ordered the spicy duck soup and was pleasantly surprised. Quality/Quantity - It was great that we all chose different dishes!! Better for my Yelp pictures, lol. A simple menu done well. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Today we got the following: Complimentary Bread - Cheddar jalapeno bread, ONE per person. We almost had to fight each other for this, lol. Pork Bun Appetizer - Wow, these were HUGE! For us light eaters, this could have been a meal?!?! Octopus - 4 couples shared two orders. Actually, we all shared our appetizers. The octopus was so tender. I would have preferred more of an outer layer crisp...? Lightly higher fire to char the outer skin...? Short Ribs - What?!?! My wife craved this...? Normally she would get the fish. The flavors were good, but there were a few pieces that she could not eat... Ribeye, Shoestring Fries & my Pinot and Cabernet - My usual order. Cooked well, except in my opinion, it had excess butter. Most people would probably enjoy that, lol. The shoestring fries were PERFECT, I shared with the table. Salmon - Normally my wife's dish. This was also cooked perfectly and plated perfectly. See pictures. Halibut - Good. My buddy usually gets a steak, this was our second dinner that he ordered more healthy?!?! What is happening? He is actually the biggest eater in the group, I hope he did not leave hungry. He did not even order dessert and he used to always have room for dessert?!?! Duck - Wow, I was jealous when I saw this come out! I actually thought my friend ordered a pork loin as this duck breast was so huge! If you are following, I have been having some amazing ducks on my last SF, CA trips!! I will/may get this next time. Scallop - This looked good. Even the orange exterior paint job holds up! Open kitchen. Our favorite concepts! Nice bar area, small dining area, semi private dining for a few tables in the rear of the building, and lastly outdoor dining. See pictures. Small parking lot in the rear (as per my wife), but plenty of free 2 hour street parking. Only open 3 days a week for dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Call to confirm days and hours, good luck. Interesting enough for a Saturday evening, the restaurant was only half full?!?! Service - Not sure when the last time we have been here, we have been working on the last year trying to get reservations. No website, not on Open Table, Tock, Yelp reservations, etc... My wife finally left a message and 4 days later you called her back to confirm, thank you. The front of the house was welcoming. Got here a few minutes early and she and he sat us down immediately. The "bus boy" was good, got us water, ice, etc. The waiter was okay, not good or bad. Good to see that the restaurant was fully staffed, I was worried about the major reduction in days and hours. We stayed 3 hours, and never felt rushed to leave. As the last guests were leaving, we got our que, lol. So good to enjoy a great meal with good friends. Price - $530 + tip. Expensive, but worth it. Nice treat, especially for our friends. Wow, it's been a long time since I have seen a hand written check. And for a party of 6, no automatic tip?!?! Thank you.
