The tortilla chips were house-made, the brisket was quite flavorful and tender - it all came together perfectly with the sauce, crema, egg, avocado and cilantro. We both ordered the spicy margarita, which was excellent. Not too strong and with a nice kick. We arrived around 1pm and sat next to a wood burning fireplace. Talk about feeling spoiled with the whole place to ourselves! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We knew they had just hired a new chef and he has been working hard on a new menu that will rollout very soon. Apparently, he has offered several specials over the past few weeks as an "introduction" to his culinary talents and all have been well-received. We look forward to returning when the new menu is fully integrated. The whole restaurant/bar/club is beautifully decorated and feels very upscale, but not pretentious. Quite an enjoyable way to spend the day with friends and family.

Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.

I tend to crave beet salads (I know-a bit weird) and those are surprisingly hard to find. This place has them and when paired with blackened chicken, nothing is better! I realized I don't come here often enough but I plan to change that. The bar area is huge so there has always been an open table when I've gone. I know there is daily happy hour too. My only complaint, thy are closed on Sunday-the day I usually am out and in the mood for a drink and food.

Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. I enjoyed the bee sting pizza, hot and sweet, and I love the combination. When I go back it will definitely be pizza, salad and cauliflower. The sever was a sweet young man. Colby who we later learned was the owner greeted us with great enthusiasm and was extremely personable and had great suggestions. He placed our mind at ease. We talked a bit about cocktails as I am a Mezcal drinker, but he didn't quite have the ingredients to craft a drink to my liking. I ordered an old-fashioned, which is my go to standby. While I was enjoying the old-fashioned with the appetizers that we ordered, Colby came up to the table and said he had made a Mezcal drink for me. It was amazing. He listened to my likes and dislikes and crafted a unique blend of Mezcal and secret ingredients that I will not reveal. The drink was amazing. He shared his creation with me so I could recreate at home. Appetizers were good so we stayed for dinner. There was a little bit of confusion about the dinner order and two dishes came out too salty for our liking. Mishaps happen all the time but it's how an establishment deals with it that matters. Colby made sure we were happy with our meals and all was good. Colby is quite the wine connoisseur and we had excellent conversation about old word and new world wines.
