So THAT needed to go, as well as the remaining 2 ailanthus trees. Then as we looked at the tree with the large limbs, of course then we see it was rotten at the top. So that huge tree also needed to go. Bottom line was we spent way more that we had initially hoped, but once the crew was working it was easy to see why it cost what it did. They had an amazing piece of equipment that fit into the backyard and was able to reach way up to the tree top. The crew did a fantastic job of removing the trees without hitting our roof, the fence, the neighbors house and fence, etc. They also did a wonderful job of cleaning up after the removal, and it at our request left us some oak firewood, nicely stacked. I would not hesitate to hire them again. I had gotten several other quotes before going with Mills. It was hard to compare quotes because we ended up doing more work that initially planned, but we are glad we did the additional work.

She said that the owner was an "arborist" and would do a good job. I remembered the word "arbol" from high school Spanish...so I gave them a call. The owner, Dan, came out and explained what all of the trees in my backyard are; why some blossom and others do not; which should bear fruits or nuts; and which could use attention. The total cost of RTS cutting down two smaller trees that were dying, all of the branches that were hanging over the roof of our house, removing some poison ivy and other, miscellaneous trimming was less (I can't remember if it was a full 2/3 less, but it was definitely 50% less) than any of the other "tree cutting" companies that I had called. Almost anyone can cut your trees, however...Ross Tree Service can help maintain your property. That being said, the receptionist may be overwhelmed...so call back if necessary and don't take off of work until they are confirmed to be on the way to perform services for you. The owner saw the dead branches and recommended them get pruned so branches stop falling on the driveway where our children frequently walk and play under. Sold. I watched the tree climber guy climb up into cloud level heights that made me question if I put him in danger. Nope. He navigated the whole tree and shimmied more dead branches off than I was aware were up there. Money well spent and a recommendation we'll made! Will only suggest this friendly crew to anyone needing tree services... incredible.
