This place is filled with most self-centered and arrogant people I have ever witness at a workplace. Not only they do not greet you, they act like you do not exist unless you buy something. I can tell the staff are treated poorly because the lack of the leadership from their general managers and their assistant managers. If you are in a role of leadership, treat others the way you want to be treated. Doing things without kindness makes the workplace toxic and miserable. If you are not ready for a role of leadership, do not do it. read more

I have similar untoward experiences with some of the reviewers here. Although, their furniture are sturdy and designed well, I think they are overpriced taking into account the poor service they offer. Not at the storefront but at the warehouse. With a brand that is marketed as high end, the quality of customer service is not up to par. I ordered a hallway bench with a shelf. I only received the hutch and not the cabinet. I called customer service and I was informed that I did not order the cabinet which was weird because it was a set. I almost bought another cabinet, but the price I paid for seemed too much for the furniture I have. With persistent prodding, they found out that they did forget to deliver the cabinet. Apart from that, there were also missing hardware that was delivered 7 months after the product was purchased after I called customer service several times. As compensation for the hassle and misinformation, they offered us a $200.00 gift card which never arrived. Three strikes all in all from a supposedly established brand that was performing like a rookie in the furniture business. The hardware item was out of stock but if it will take them 7 months to replenish, I don't think they should be doing any business at all. That was the only furniture we purchased from PB. We tried to give them multiple chances but they failed. Now we purchase our furniture at Wayfair and Living Spaces where we have better experience. Still furnishing our house though since we just moved in here two years ago but I decided to take my business elsewhere with more trustworthy and well-performing vendors. read more

THEY DON'T DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS! First, this was my first experience with pottery barn and after realizing where there values are I will not be returning. I got a gift card for Christmas, from a friend who chooses not to flaunt his money. As you can guess, he got shady treatment when he went in wearing a hoodie, the stuck up employees (not so discretely) labeled him as a potential shop lifter which he by the way loves because you know what they say about people who assume. Later, I decided on a new duvet cover and called the store before hand, the employee rudely said "I'm gonna have to put you on hold." as if it was an issue. Fine. Put the item on hold and went in. Walked up to the register where 2 employees were standing, no one acknowledged me, I seriously don't know whats wrong with these people, YOU ARE NOT HOT S*** BECAUSE YOU WORK AT POTTERY BARN PEOPLE! You are in customer service, your job depends on it so act like it! Anyway, after about 20 seconds I finally said "I put something on hold I don't know who to speak to." It was only when they knew that I was a paying customer that I got their attention. I KID YOU NOT, this guy looked up and put on the show of a lifetime. A very insincere, forced "HI!! Yes let me get that." This was by far the most annoying part of it. That's not all!...I called customer service to cancel the order that I had placed before deciding I get it in store. Honestly, you would think she didn't even work there because all she could say was "I can't" When I asked to speak to a supervisor she HUNG UP ON ME! Customer service is amazing! This pottery barn boast to entrances (from different streets of the mall) and also is clean and well designed. When i say customer service is amazing, it's because there is plenty of staff all of which greet you and are eager to assist you. I also learned that the victoria garden parking meters are not enforced, so never put money inside of them! My review is for the pottery barn in Rancho Cucamonga just went in to try and see if they could help me with returning an item I had purchased a few months ago or get credit . The manager didn't even look or try to help me just said no , so I asked to see if they had the item larger size so she called another another employee to help me . I told him what has going on he was very nice and offered to help he was checking to see if he could atleast give me credit and she just told him no credit . Went to buy furniture at this location on 05/07/16. I called a day or two ahead find out if the furniture (Manhattan Collection) I was interested in was on the showroom floor and to get a feel for customer service. I decided to give them my patronage despite living closer to the Brea location. When my Wife and I initially arrived, the location was busy. A sales associate in furniture was on the telephone with a customer as I was waiting. I can't help but feel as though she got irritated because I was standing there,and quipped do you need help and stated;"let me get someone for you."She summoned what appeared to be an employee from the warehouse in t shirt,khaki shorts and tennis shoes to assist us. Let me state that Greg was wonderful, unsurpassed professionalism and courteous. But I can't help but think that she assumed we weren't going to purchase as much Manhattan furniture as we did, recliner,grand sofa, and love seat. I'm going to go out on a limb a say that was the biggest sale of the day. So once again to all sales associates don't judge people because of the way they look or who they are (White,Black or Asian) because you may lose a legitimate customer or yocompetitors may get the business. read more

After purchasing my entire living room set from Pottery Barn, I decided that the coffee table wouldn't work well with my home interior. So I contacted customer service and was told that the item would be picked up promptly in the next week. However once the pick up date arrived, my table was never picked up. I then called customer service again and was told that I should bring the table back to my local store. So I decided to come into this location and was approached by Patricia. Who at first asked me to take the coffee table that I just carried into their store back outside and carry it to their back door entrance. Now I'd like to add that this table was originally ordered on July 7, delivered on August 24 and today is September 30. I've basically spent the end of my summer dealing with this issue. Once I explained the details to Patricia and kindly told her that I would prefer if a representative from her store actually move the table, she seemed to become more empathetic towards my situation. This process was quite disappointing however the kindness that Patricia displayed towards the end of my return transaction was a good closing process. The only critique is I'd suggest that it would be best that in the future to never tell guests, clients or customers to EVER to do the job of an associate. read more

I love this store and being going here since Bombay close. Never once have I ever had a bad experience until Tuesday evening. Boy did I feel so humiliated. The look on both sale people faces were ugly friendly. First thing out of her mouth is oh well it's over 30 days and we can't do a refund and you have no receipt. I went in with a return, no receipt. Okay I thought they could look up my purchase with my credit card. Well they got a new system and they were not able to look me up by my email. I'm not in the system at all. We have never used a designer before and we were fortunate to work with Naomi for our first time. She was wonderful. Having Naomi to guide us through the changes we wanted to make allowed us to think outside of our normal box. She was so very patient with with our indecision and changes. We are awaiting the final items which we just ordered but already the room has been completely transformed into something we are very proud of. This is specifically in regards to the Rancho location at Victoria Gardens. The store itself is nice and clean, but I've been in several locations and never experienced the customer service I had here. I'm usually greeted by friendly staff immediately and later checked on. I went in specifically to look at curtain colors and search, before an online purchase of several curtains. There was a lady and a man working and only one other person in the store, beside myself. Neither one of them greeted me, or ever gave me eye contact. They were both doing busy work that they should have dropped immediately to check on a customer and ask them if they need help. I worked in retail for a long time and this was pretty bad. Management needs to have a customer service class with the staff at this location. To be specific it was the evening of November 30th. Yes, around the holidays, but no, their store was not busy with people at this time. I purchased curtains elsewhere so I just wanted to let them know they could be losing many sales. I hesitated to even ask for help because it seemed they avoided me on purpose. It was obvious I had questions, it was obvious I was in there for a while browsing curtains, and it was obvious they didn't want to lift their head up to make eye contact and stop doing whatever it was they were doing. Though not a really steady shopper at Pottery Barn, lately as we begin to purchase more things for our home, the quality of everything here truly is great, but you do of course pay for that. I think this particular store, situated in the cute Victoria Gargens area, is a little smaller than others but the selection is adequate, people polite, and easily accessible. We probably will be returning in the future in the area but would not particularly make a special trip just to come to this location. read more

While strolling through Victoria gardens on Thursday 7/5 I decided to take a glance inside Pottery Barn. FYI the and cd yet was a coffee table I'd been looking at online on sale for only $167 (floor model). I bought the item and told the young lady I would return today to pickup the item since the store was busy and only two people were working. This morning I called and spoke to Linda to verify that I was picking up my item around 12:30 pm and to find out where I should park. When I arrived at the pickup door I was greeted with a sign instructing me to only ring the bell one time. After 5 minutes in the 110+ heat I called the store to let them know I was waiting at the delivery door. A few minutes later a gentleman appeared and instead of hello he proceeded to let me know how busy there were. Really??? Not my problem. I then learned that my item was still out in the sales floor because the stockroom is overflowing with product. In fact, if the fire department saw the area they would deem it unsafe. I then had to wait even longer for the clerk to make his way back into the store and threw the maze that is the stockroom with my item to place it in the car. I find your inability to properly staff your store during a sale unacceptable and I will think twice before shopping here again. read more

Never, ever buy Pottery Barn furniture. I spent $4,500 on a sofa and chair. Within a couple of weeks I saw the fabric was fraying away from the piping on one of my cushions. I've contacted their customer service 4 times and sent the pictures and information they needed. It's been 6 months and they have never responded and I'm still here with a $4,500 sofa that looks like junk. Terrible furniture customer service. And don't buy any furniture on line because they claim it is all custom furniture and so you can't return it. Waste of money. Very disappointed because I do love Pottery Barn. read more

Excellent customer service! We were holding rather heavy items and a specialist asked if we wanted to have them held at the register. When We were checking out, he had put our items in boxes and knew they were gifts (mindreader lol). He also had gift receipts already printed. We were asked what exit we wanted to go out of after we finished the transaction ..we failed to realize that they close at 9 and not 10 like other stores..oops. I order a print online on Sep 12 and the estimated delivery was Sep 19 and I was ok, then on the 19th, I checked and it changed to Sep 26 which was my husband's birthday, ok not happy but still acceptable but of course nothing came on Sep 26 and I went to check..... Oct 24th!!!!! I called Pottery barn to cancel the order and they say it cannot be cancelled because it is a direct shipment from the seller..... WHAT??? Am I buying from Pottery barn or a private seller? And even Ebay, they are after their seller if item is not shipped on time so Pottery Barn just crossed their arm and sorry nothing can do???? Not impressed by customer service. Salesman said hello and greeted two older ladies that walked in after we did and never greeted my husband and I. I had to walk around the store and find someone to help me. Finally, after waiting a while we walked out since no one was willing to help (This is on a Saturday night). In fact, there were lots of people walking around no one to help. I overheard a gentleman tell his spouse to just order what they wanted online since no one was helping them either. Really bad service. This is suppose to be an upscale store with great products. Too bad because we are shopping for a couch. I would really like to buy a couch from Pottery Barn because I know their products are great quality. However, really offended that we were never greeted nor asked if we needed help. This is my favorite Pottery Barn. It is absolutely beautiful, and has a peaceful, relaxing feel. The seasonal layouts are always inviting and displays are creative and colorful. This location is extremely clean and organized. I've always had a positive shopping experience. The sales associates I've had have been extremely knowledgeable, cheerful and efficient. This location is awesome!!!! It's at Victoria gardens so you can just walk into their store without having to walk thru an entire mall, which with kids is amazing! Their selection is great & their store is always nicely decorated and well organized. I went in for a new duvet cover and didn't see a cal king of the one I wanted on the shelves so a lady helped me find one in he back & I was in & out in less than 10 mins. I cannot tell you how great the customer service and dedication to their customers Pottery Barn Victoria Gardens is. My husband and I recently bought a new home and decided to furnish the majority of it through Pottery Barn. We have always loved Pottery Barn. I shopped online for many hours to try and decide which furniture to buy, but became overwhelmed. We decided to go to the store to see if we could see the furniture in person. We walked into the store without an appointment and immediately were accompanied by Betty from their design studio. Betty spent 4 hours with us that day and was able to furnish our house for us. We decided to change some of the items and Betty came in on her day off to add them to our order. The furniture was delivered within 1 month, even the special order couches and headboard. Greg, the operations manager, also was above and beyond helpful in facilitating the deliveries and in-store pick ups. We ended up having some issues with one of the delivery staff and we called Greg and he immediately called the delivery warehouse manager, Ken. Ken called us back within an hour. Right off the bat, Ken was very apologetic and saddened for our experience with their staff. He personally arranged the new delivery for the next week and showed how dedicated Pottery Barn is with their customer satisfaction. Through this whole process, Pottery Barn and the William Sonoma company has reflected their exceptional quality of merchandise and customer care. I am placing another order from Pottery Barn tonight and we will continue to be dedicated customers. read more

Ridiculous back order for delivery!! I am waiting on 4 dining chairs that were promised by both the sales person and the furniture customer service department. I received my table only 3 weeks late... now I am without chairs, which are currently more than 6 weeks late!! Each time I call the customer service number, they give me the run around. I have also already been charged for this product. They constantly tell me to check online... and when I do, the date just gets pushed back week after week. If I had known they would have be delayed this long, I would have NEVER purchased these items from Pottery Barn at Victoria Gardens. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

After spending enough on furniture to earn $1250 in rewards, I have had nothing but trouble trying to redeem the rewards. word to the wise... do NOT place an order online and expect to have your rewards points applied in a timely manner, especially if any of your order is back ordered which is common. you'll have to fight over interest and fees when it's not your fault the entire order wasn't shipped because rewards are not applied until the order is complete or at least what is shipped meets or exceeds the reward credit. read more

Very nice location. The store is a little small but was absolutely gorgeous. It is pricey but the items are great quality. I loved that I was able to look at some of the items that I had seen online. They have dining tables set up and showcase their items beautifully. My one star I must say comes from their non existing customer service. There were a total of 5 associate and not one acknowledged me nor offered to help or even ask if I was doing ok. I loved the the items I was there to look at and purchase but due to the fact that everyone ignored me I decided to place my order online. My sister and I wondered in here while my son rode the train with my mom. We walked around for awhile and passed by a few associates, none of which acknowledged us and one walked right in front of us as if we weren't even there. I chalked it up to that must be the way they treat all their customers until we were walking out the door and a lady walking in was greeted right away by the same associate who ignored us like the plague. Someone fraudulently used my debit card on 12/1/20 attempting to purchase items from Pottery Barns. I called my bank & they were unable to do anything because the charge states PENDING from Pottery Barns. I googled their customer service dept. Which is HORRIBLE SERVICE, I was transferred & referred to a different phone numbers sadly getting the run around. And no one seem to know how to get started w/ having the hold released on my money/ debit card. I explained over/ over again that I depend on that money in my account to care for my babies which is already hard to do because of COVID-19. Theses people are heartless!! They told me that the order was cancelled because of all the information provided for the order doesn't match the card & the pending charge will be released. I was told that on 12/1/20 it is now 12/5/20 & there is STILL A PENDING FRAUDULENT charge on my card. This company SHOULD NOT be trusted w/any of your personal financial information. I came after work looking for few specific things and associate comes and greets and offers any assistance to the woman next to me and overlooks that I'm right beside her. Then I'm hoping that I can find another person to help me as one associate walks towards me I thought she would be able to help but instead tries to help the same lady while she was distracted on her phone and has not even started to browse the store. I could have went out of my way to ask at the counter for help but I'm big on customer service and was tired from work so I walked out of there. The store is conveniently located in Victoria Gardens. It is clean and staffed well. Several nice furniture pieces have been purchased from this location over the past two years with good guest services. Today was quite different, an older lady who assisted with a purchase started with screaming across the store "HEY do you need help ?" with annoyed tone. Further she does not introduce herself, extremely poor eye contact, loud and borderline rude during the checkout. The quality of guest service was unexpectedly below average. We drove 25 miles to purchase a dining set and chairs. They did not have the table and the chairs we wanted were boxed and they refuse to open one so we could see what we were purchasing. Excellent selection and excellent help. Came here to get my sisters wedding shower gift and was approached by the nicest sales lady who helped me select a few gifts in my price range. All in all an excellent experience and she even wrapped and boxed up my items and provided me with a gift receipt. They even take your information so that should the gift receipt get lost the Bride/Groom know who purchased their gift. I am sure they also do it for marketing but whatever I thought it was a good idea. read more
