I live in Bend and have been to the pourhouse many times. I will go in and drop $75 easy. have had many meals there. Most of them good to decent. Today I went there and I have to say it was shocking on how bad it was. The new prices shocked me a burger could cost $ 16 to $ 20. The sever was not quick by any means. When I asked about the new menu and what happen to the prices she totally blew me off. She got my order wrong. the chicken brest was maybe 5 oz tiny the fries were different not real potatos and very under cooked. My wifes meal was worse if the can be. In short I think the owners should relook at what they are doing if they still intend on moving into a much larger space. I would like to see them make it. read more

We waited 40 minutes (they were not busy) for mediocre cold food. The waitress never came back after we ordered. Finally asked the hostess to check on our order. She said they were waiting for the chicken. When it arrived it was barely warm and the tots tasted like stale oil. We had heard this was a good place to eat. We will not be back! read more

Very disappointed with the food at the new location. W"e really liked the old "Pour House". The barbecued chicken was black on the outside. You sure didn't want to eat the skin. Being served black chicken is not very appetizing. The okra was OK, but not the best in town. We probably won't go back. Service was good. read more

The Pour House is by far my favorite restaurant/bar in Bend,Or. The staff makes you feel like "Family!" And the food is excellent and great quality! Went only because we had a gift card. Any place that's dead on a Saturday night at 7:30 be wary of. I knew pretty instantly it would suck. The food was pretty awful for the price. $12 for the kids chicken basket? I guess the only reason to come here is to get drunk and watch a game. I received coupons in the mail through money mailer. the coupon stated buy one entrée and get one half off for lunch or dinner. My son and I ordered and I looked closely at the coupon to see if there were any exclusions and there were not. I sent my son to pick up the order to go, and when he presented the coupon he was told it was only for dine in. Once again there is nothing on the coupon that states this. I called the number on the receipt to ask why they did not honor the deal and a guy answered and said I had not reach the Pour House, but that he gets calls all the time for them. the number on the receipt is wrong. I called the number on the coupon and Diane answered, when I asked why they did not honor the offer she said it was only for dine in and when I said it didn't say that anywhere on the coupon, she hung up on me. I called back and Chip said he would talk to her, and that he was sorry but it was really busy.. I have never been hung up on like that. I have never posted on yelp, and I have eaten here a few times and enjoyed the food. Went to The Pour House with a group of 8. Drink order was taken quickly and returned promptly. Food was ordered and we waited. As the food started coming out, the waiter apologized as there had been a mistake on two of our meals. We were having some beer so did not mind much. A while later, our two meals came out and were delicious. The waiter brought me a beer on the house for the mix up which surprised me as not a word of complaint was never uttered. It was appreciated and I don't turn down free beer. When we received our bill, the waiter advised the two late meals were also in the house due to the long wait. The waiter was incredible at making us feel like we mattered. He was very apologetic for the delay despite no complaints from any of us. The food was amazing and well worth the wait. The waiters kindness and quick fix of the problems exemplified customer service. He earned his tip and some return customers. read more

Food is amazing! Try any of their meats, tri tip , chicken any of it. Would come back more if they had better service. They are always under staffed and I have literally sat for 45 minutes before my drink was brought out and they came to take my order. I walked in earlier today hearing how wonderful the food is. We were greeted by our server Diane, who seemed not pleased to see us walk in, and didn't seem to be happy at all. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, the drinks were good but, it was so cold in the bar that everyone had their coats and hats on. We had to put on our gloves in order to drink our cocktails. The Pour House Grill used to be one of our favorite places to eat. Once they moved into their new location, the portions are much smaller and quality is pour. We wanted to give them one last chance so my husband ordered our favorite sandwich, the fried chicken, and it was so small and thin it didn't even cover the bun. We gave the server the benefit of the doubt and explained our disappointment and he offered half off the sandwich, which my husband did not eat. Unfortunately we will not be going back. We've been going to the poorhouse grill for sometime now. It has usually been very good but recently things have changed. They have previously had a very popular happy hour menu. Abruptly they have stop that. I know that I and one other in my group asked for the happy hour menu and so did two other diners that I overheard. Additionally our food was overcooked/burned and lacked taste. We left most on the plates. I don't know what went wrong and whether that was a fluke or a bad trend. To cap it off, the waiter had an arrogant attitude. We won't be returning again for happy hour at the poorhouse. read more

Came here for dinner while staying a weekend in bend. The Pulled Pork Jalapeño Poppers were amazing! However everything else we ordered was just ok. The service was awful! Our waitress was rude and only took our food order. Someone else brought us our food, nobody asked to refill my husbands Soda or if I wanted another cocktail. We waited for about 10 min before my husband went up to ask someone for to go boxes, they acted like we were rude and pushy! Finally one of the bussers brought us boxes, and the server brought our check yet another 10-15 min later! If you want poor service and ok food go here. read more

My husband and I tried the new location for lunch this week. We shared a Rueben Sandwich, worst we have ever had, soggy, thin bread, over kill on thousand island dressing to where you could hardly taste meat. Menu stated it came with option of sweet potatoe fries, they came with waffle fries, not a fan and would have preferred they put that on menu. Service was very lackadaisical and didn't make us feel very welcome. With so many outstanding establishments in Bend offering amazing sandwiches and service we would not return here again. read more

Well I wish i was writing a more positive SECOND review. We went back because we LOVED the great happy hour from when this place had first opened. Unfortunately, they narrowed the menu to 6 items only and prices seem to have jumped a bit since then. The pulled pork quesadilla which is now your average quesadilla ( That you could get up the road at Del Taco) and beer is no longer at happy hour pricing. For the past couple of years this has been the go-to place for me and my family and every friend who wanted a recommendation. So it breaks my heart to write a bad review. The recent menu change resulted in a substantial increase in pricing. Everything went up by two or three dollars. Pour house is no longer an affordable option. Although the bacon cheeseburger is awesome it is not worth $14. It comes with fries that are no longer hand sliced but seem to be from a freezer bag. The fish and chips no longer seem to be fresh fish but rather Frozen Van de Kamp's fillets with the same frozen french fries. They eliminated a couple of our favorite items, the fish tacos and grilled chicken sandwich. We were there on a Monday evening during Monday Night Football and the restaurant was half empty period six months ago we would have been waiting for a table. I hope they get the message and reverse a couple of huge mistakes. Next time I want a $14 Burger I will go to Greg's Grill or zydeco read more

My family and I found the Pour House after getting into town and needing a convenient place to eat with the kids before heading to our destination. The Pour House got good reviews and was right off a main street so we went for it. We really loved our dinner. I got the buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese. Delicious! My husband got the BBQ combination platter and they had the best ribs we've had in a really long time! Super tender and falling off the bone. The chicken was overdone and when my husband mentioned it they discounted his entrée. We weren't expecting that at all. Great customer service. The staff was really friendly and very interested in how we enjoyed our meal. The kids loved it too. Cheese burgers and chicken tenders there. They were both happy. The artichoke dip was terrific too. We decided that this will be our new restaurant we go to after getting into town. read more
