I want to say that this place looked like just another business on the outside but what we found on the inside has now made this place our go to place to go to when we are passing through town. We passed this place and realized our hotel is basically in the same parking lot. We decided we would walk there and give it a try. The place has a bar, tables, 2 pool tables and a gaming area. It was a Monday night and their wings are on special. Yeah! We were greeted by the server and we ordered some IPA beers. They only have 3 IPAs on draft but the one we got was amazing. We ordered a burger, appetizer of chicken nuggets and 2 orders of wings. We got them pretty quick. The nuggets doesn't look like regular nuggets but rather a chicken breast cut up in pieces and deep fried. I ordered these for my mother who doesn't eat a lot at night but holy cow, she ate it all! My daughter and I got the wings with their Monday night special of 6 wings for only $7. These wings are very meaty. One of the best we have tried! It filled each of us up. I can't remember which burger my husband ordered but it was a spicy one. He loved it! The service was being amazing. We had our server checking on us but then the bartender came around. These 2 woman rocked the whole place! Best service ever. You can see the chef and he did an amazing job! Now, fast forward exactly a week later, we were on our way back from our trip to visit the grandkids in Spokane and we were excited to come back here. So one week later we were back for the wings, chicken nuggets but this time the fish & chips. The bartender was our server. Looks like the other server just got off since we arrived at around 8p. Well once again the service was amazing. The chef fixed our food and was helping out by bringing it to our table! I will say that my husband prefers his fish and chips made with cod. He did say the rockfish was amazing but he still prefers cod so maybe a 4.5 stars, lol. Can I say that if I lived in Bend I would be coming here all the time! We are excited to try this place again when we go through town again. BTW, my mom once again ate her chicken nuggets but we added a side of fries for only $2. read more

Our third trip to Southside pub, recently, ended badly. A scantily clad inexperienced young gal dressed in skin tight yoga ware was more interested in flirting with the men than giving the customers equal attention. Sadly she threw the menus on the table, asked what we wanted to drink, instead of standing at the end of the table (face to face) she hid directly behind me, which was odd, rude & a bit creepy. The gentlemen behind us who had a straight shot of her backside were completely enjoying. We asked her to please come to the end of the table so we could ask some questions about the food/menu. She copped an attitude and immediately turned into a snot nose. At that moment, we should have got up and moved to another food servers area, or left because it went from bad to worse. Enjoyed the delicious burgers but my guest ran out of water, mine glass was still full. I looked around for our server for several minutes and finally saw her heading our way with a water pitcher with very little water & oddly, no ice. She passed up the booth in front of us and came directly over to my glass, which was totally full to the brim, and sloppily poured water in causing it to overflow. Oddly she never filled my guest's "empty" glass. Perplexing to say the least. I turned to get her attention as she made a B line back to the kitchen, ignoring mine & the request of folks in the booth behind me. I glanced at my glass, and it was milky/cloudy looking with food particles swirling around in it. She apparently scooped up dirty dish water from the kitchen and brought it out to serve to me. Wow! Appalling behavior & extremely disturbing service. It takes a pretty heinous individual to do something so disturbing / horrific. Drove from Winnemucca, NV to Bend, OR today and looked to Yelp for a quick bite. The menu for Southside Pub listed a roast beef French dip, but I've been fooled before. Checked with server Jenn and she said it was the real deal. Ordered a Pilsner and both were good. I ordered a side of fries and they were done just right with a mild seasoning. Awesome place with the best glamp bar food. They let us have our dogs in their outside eating area because it was too hot to leave them in the car. I had the Squatch burrito bowl which was outstanding. My husband had the mango habrenaro wings and he was equally impressed. I think my wife and I found our new "go-to" spot in Bend. After searching for the past couple months for a place where locals tend to hang out with a more laid back vibe, we finally found it in Southside Pub (we found many that gave off this ambiance from the outside.. but were just spendy bars pretending to be simple). Not only is the service at Southside Pub exactly what we want in a regular bar, but their drinks are reasonably priced, pours are solid, and food is above average. This isn't a place that you're going to see receiving any Michelin stars any time soon, but thats not the lane it's in. If I could give this place a zero star review. My husband and I would definitely give this place no stars . The food was served as if it was from Madonald's. The service was terrible and the waitress's dressed as if they were in a hooker bar. We were very unpleased with the service. The menu sounded great, but when the food came out the food was astonishing too salty and the drinks were watered down. When asking for a new order, the restaurant still charged us full price of something that was cooked to not our request. I would recommend that the staff should have a dress code and the cook should take another lesson in cooking. We've been in the past to this establishment and the food was fine. Went in this week, and it was not. Partner order a type of burger and because the patty was probably a 1/8 lbs. it was torched. I ordered a Rueben, the bread was soggy, and it tasted not right. We stated with our initial order we wanted fry sauce. Didn't come with meal, had to ask another waiter to bring it, they didn't, had to flag down our original waiter who did, more than half way through our meal. We were too hungry to send back. It's getting more and more disappointing to go out these days. Paying $18 for each entree, with sub par quality and cooking just drives the point home to stay home and cook. read more

Stopped by on our road trip from crater lake to mt hood....saw rave reviews & wanted better than fast food so we stopped. On the door was a sign saying no minors allowed, but we figured we'd just order the food to go and left our teens in the car. Unfortunately they were slow and got our order wrong anyway (we wondered why the bartender didn't use a pad to write down our order, but figured he knew what he was doing. By the time the food finally arrived, we needed to get on the road so we said to just forget it since our order never even made it onto the receipt). And patrons entering didn't have them on when entering either. While I waited for food to go, I saw one older man wearing one upon entering. I've ordered take out from here numerous times, initially considering it 4* American greasy goodness but after the last time, a 3*. I've had the burgers, wings, fish and chips, chicken tenders and Reuben. -Burgers are solid. Not the best I've had but tasty to fill the craving. 3* -what to order are the fries and onion rings. They're like battered fries in a tasty coating. The onion rings have this special crisp that holds on better than others I've tried. Except the last time I had onion rings, the were on the darker side. 4.5* -the Reuben was wonderful the first time so I ordered it again. The second time, the meat was dry and less buttered bread.. 2* -chicken tenders seem to be battered/prepared on site which is a nice touch. I thought they could use little more flavor besides dipping it in sauce. 3* -fish and chips: battered nicely. My son loved it. 3.5-4* -wings: lightly coated. Not the best but not bad 3.5* The employees are def nice. Food though, got more expensive since the first time I ordered from here last year. Staying at the La Quinta next door and happy to find this pub walking distance rom our hotel. Walked in right at kickoff at 7pm and unfortunately game wasn't on any of the 3 TV's. Asked the server to please put game on the one big screen TV that was viewable from a table and not the 2 viewable from the bar. At first they put it on the wrong channel and we watched & waited for a few minutes before we broke out our cell phones to look up the correct channel. The food menu truly has something for everyone. Hubby chose the buffalo chicken sandwich with onion rings as his side. It was ok but his chicken had kind of a funky taste. I had the delicious chicken club sandwich with a side salad.
