DO NOT BUY HERE! SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. Poway Honda is supposed to be a reputable business. I purchased a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Premier Duramax with 83,927 miles on Tuesday 5/19/26, with $20,000 down cash. Seven days later shortly after driving a little over 100 miles the check engine light populated at 94,142 miles. I have contacted Tyree Jones the Finance Manager who finalized the sale, with zero responses. I reached out to Elizabeth Rodriguez, who sold me the vehicle, and she's just pushing it off on her managers. The following morning I took the vehicle down to my local Chevrolet Service Center to be diagnosed. Per GM the Suburban purchased a week ago needs the following replaced: Second Catalytic converter without filter, gasket, clamp, nuts, seal. Greg a manager I got on the phone on Thursday 5/28/26 was extremely rude didn't offer an apology on the current issue with the vehicle. He stated " You're a consumer in California, you are a liable as soon as you drive off the lot". I asked for the diagnostics report he stated they ran when Poway Honda purchased the vehicle and he said," We'll try and get that over to you, you should have received it at the time of purchase" which I did not and I am still waiting for them to send me that report. Reputable auto dealers do right by their consumers, Poway Honda does not.

This hipster bearded guy at the parts sales desk would treat you like if you were stupid if you don't agree with anything he says. "Coolant has never been under 30 since years" Go to Chula Vista, better prices and customer service.

I know dealerships often overcharge, but I never imagined that fixing an exhaust system issue could endanger my family. My ordeal began in May when I took our Odyssey to Poway Honda for a P0430 error code. At the time, the catalytic converter was still under Honda's 8-year warranty. The dealership only told me the fuel injectors were fine and performed a software update, without addressing the real cause of the issue. They also claimed the coolant level was low and quoted me several hundred dollars for a refill. Skeptical, I checked the coolant myself at home--it was perfectly fine. Given my past experiences, I wasn't surprised by their actions. Fast forward to November, I returned to Poway Honda for the same error code. This time, they identified a catalytic converter issue, but by then, my vehicle was no longer under warranty. They replaced the converter on December 6, 2025, and I picked up the car on December 8. Four days later, during a family camping trip, we heard a loud noise from underneath the car, just 100 miles after picking it up. The metal protector had come loose! (See attached picture.) The mechanic either used the wrong parts for the three front holes or he didn't fasten them tightly enough. A kind stranger helped us remove the protector completely. This wasn't just unprofessional; it was downright unsafe. We were in a desert area with miles of roads lacking adequate shoulders--mostly narrow, unpaved, and uneven. In such conditions, pulling over upon hearing a loud noise could lead to further damage. The detached protector could act like a shovel, displacing dust and rocks, and potentially damaging the vehicle's undercarriage, leaving us stranded with the vehicle partly on the road due to narrow shoulders. We would have faced a wait of hours, if not overnight, for a tow truck--with no cell reception in the area. We were incredibly lucky. The incident occurred near a small community where we found a safe spot and received help from a local with tools. Had this happened 10 seconds earlier or later, the outcome could have been drastically different. With two kids in the car, I can't imagine what we would have done if we were stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting for help. When I confronted Poway Honda about this, they claimed that plastic clips are Honda standard--something I found hard to believe given the original washer marks and online videos I've seen. They also denied removing the protector, despite the service video clearly showing it was removed. With all this misinformation and shoddy work, my trust in their service is shattered. I'm genuinely worried about letting them service my car again. If you're considering getting service here, do yourself a favor and think twice. Your vehicle's safety--and your peace of mind--are worth it.

Arlene was my sales person. She did a nice job. She's still fairly new to the car business about a year into it. I had 20 years in the car business, so I'm not a normal buyer. Ryan the finance manager took care of that part, did a good job, I had my own financing so it wasn't really an issue for me. The whole experience wasn't that bad, but they could've done a lot more to make the Ford F150. I bought more presentable. There was even dirt on the floor of the cab, and dirt and debris in the bed of the pick up. The whole experience wasn't terrible and Arlene was a good sales person, I wasn't buying a new car, but I don't expect a used vehicle to look as dirty and is unkempt as it looked when I got mine delivered at the dealership. Overall, just an average experience. If you wanna buy a car here, ask for Arlene, she'll take good care of you.

Mickey was our sales guy and he was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Him and the GM gave us an incredible deal on our brand new 2026 Honda Oddyssy. We had two little ones running around the whole time and they were happy to have us and were very kind. Can't express enough how incredible Mickey was, highly recommend him, and the dealership.

Unfortunately, my prior Ram 1500 has had multiple issues and I've had to go in many, many times for warranty work. Point being, I've seen many service advisors and managers come and go. I recently had to take my new truck in, and I was extremely impressed and treated completely different from past experiences. A huge shout out to the newest Manager (I don't know his name) and Kathleen!!! Kathleen was the most helpful and caring service advisor you could ask for. She genuinely is just a nice person! I cannot thank her enough. It just seems like there's a different vibe and different crew over there doing good things.

I live close to this dealership and while I have been aware of their low reviews and opinions from neighbors, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. On 04/20/26, I was searching online to purchase a new Jeep wrangler sport S. I checked the official webb page for this dealership and noticed they listed a vehicle for the net cost of $40,921. I contacted them through their webb page to schedule a test drive. A new salesman, Isaiah Gonzalez, contacted me and we agreed on a test drive for 4/21/2026 at 1200 hrs. I arrived at the dealership at the agreed time and met Mr. Gonzales, who had the vehicle ready for a test drive. We conducted the test drive and upon returning to the dealership, I decided to make a purchase offer of $39,000 to Mr Gonzales, which he promptly took to his sales manager Mr. Jackey Moore. Mr. Gonzalez returned a short time later and advised me that they had accepted my offer and ask me to come over to his desk to start the paperwork. Mr. Gonzales then produced a sheet of paper with the agreed price, but also a number of costly dealership added items, including the standard security systems and other unwanted add-ons. I immediately declined the added items. Mr. Gonzales then asked me to agree on something "because they needed to make some money on the vehicle". I remain firm on not purchasing the additional items, but advised him, I would consider financing with them. Mr. Gonzales preceded to speak with his sales manager, Mr. Moore, who promptly asked me to come into his office. Mr. Moore Then advised me that they could not sell me the vehicle because they had made an error in their official dealership Webb page and that they would loose too much money if the sold me the vehicle at the agreed price. Mr. Moore would not give any further logical explanation for the alleged error. I had several photos of the listing which I agreed to show him but he had no interest. He further did not show much interest in a reasonable resolution after I had spent over two hours at the dealership, and only encouraged me to purchase a vehicle somewhere else. A second rather rude , individual, in the sales office, who refused to identify himself, but I later determined to be sales manager Johnny Luttrell , jumped into the conversation and attempted to excused the errors on their part, but at no time suggested a reasonable resolution. A request to speak to the General Manager was denied. These individuals did not conduct themselves as professionals in the least. I intend to take further action in this matter to include reports to the appropriate state consumer protection agencies, as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles which oversees licensing for vehicle dealerships. In summary, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

What stood out the most was how they handled a pretty expensive repair on my car. They didn't give me the runaround or make it a hassle--they stepped up and took care of it, which I really appreciated. On top of that, I had a cosmetic issue with the vehicle, and they took care of that too without any problems. That kind of service is hard to come by. They kept me updated, answered my questions, and made sure everything was good before I got the car back. You can tell they actually care about their customers and not just making a sale. Big thank you to Ryan, the General Manager, and the entire service team for going above and beyond--I really appreciate it. Overall, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. I'd definitely go back and would recommend them if you're looking for a place that treats you right.

I received a mailer from Aaron Ford of Poway offering $200 off a service, along with the line, "Your last visit may have fallen short, your next one won't!" Ironically... not quite. When I made the appointment, I was told they would need to diagnose the issue and, if a part had to be ordered, it could take a few days. I let them know that was fine, I'd just take my car back and return once the part arrived since I don't live nearby. I dropped my car off Wednesday at 8am and received a text with a link to check the status, which seemed like a great feature. Unfortunately, the link didn't update at all until the very end of the process. By 2pm, I hadn't heard anything, so I called. I was told the camera needed to be replaced, the part was already in stock, and the car would be ready by 11am the next day. Not ideal, but also not surprising since dealership service centers are notorious for overbooking and underestimating turnaround times. It still worked for me, so I stayed overnight at my mom's house expecting to head home before traffic. The next day, I still hadn't heard anything by 11:40am, so I called again and was told the technician was finishing another car and mine should be ready around 1:30pm. Not great, but manageable. At 2:10pm, having not heard anything, I called again and was told my service advisor had stepped out and would call me back. That never happened. I called again at 2:45pm and was told they were still working on it and would call when it was ready. By 4:10pm, after still hearing nothing, I called yet again and was finally told my car was ready. The way it was phrased made it sound like I had just happened to call at the perfect moment, as if it had just been finished. However, the status link showed the inspection was completed at 3:10pm, so it's unclear whether the car had already been sitting there for an hour or if the updates just weren't accurate. Either way, I ended up leaving right in the middle of traffic, which I had specifically tried to avoid. They did take an additional $50 off on top of the $200 coupon and washed my car, which I appreciated. But overall, the lack of communication and constant need to follow up made for a frustrating experience. While this repair would be out of my abilities, I would imagine that for a certified Ford technician it's a fairly basic job, which made the nearly two full workdays and minimal communication even more frustrating.
