I recently lost the outer shells/chassis to my Apex boots and was stuck with no way to ski.

When we came to return our rentals, The very nice lady with blue hair explained to us that the fitting was the reason for her pain. I asked her why my gf wasn't fitted properly and as she said " I'm not sure, i wasn't there that day" ( very appropriate response), the manager ( in earshot) who was present the day we picked our rentals did a u turn and disappeared avoiding all accountability. Would've loved to be able to ski without wasting $200 in one day!

I tried just getting through til the end but even when getting to the poles and asking her about a previous experience she again knocked it down, and I finally stopped her. Instead of apologizing she went on to say she was in the right and had done nothing wrong before walking off. If it wasn't for Derrick that changed the mood of it at the end I would have just asked for my money back. People come in spending $200+. Train your staff to be better. Elycia was the worst!

I have purchased skis from Icelantic three times now and each time their customer service has been…read moreimpeccable. The first time the skis I ordered did not arrive at the shop and therefore I wasn't able to pick them up. Instead of saying oh well they sought out another similar pair of skis (the year prior's) and gave them to me at a discounted price without even guilt tripping me or making it feel like I should bow down to them. And the skis are still staying strong 8 years later. On another occasion I went to their shop to pick up a new pair of skis that I ordered online. They also had a special edition pair that I didn't order but when I arrived at the shop I figured I'd at least inquire about them. I did and the guy working behind the desk just said hang on a second, brought out the limited edition ski and said they were all mine at no additional cost. I didn't even ask for the same price, I simply asked if they had any in stock still. Again, they didn't have to but they chose to because they rock! And this season I ordered a pair of special edition skis for ski patrollers and due to delays on the factory's end, not theirs, my skis are still in process of being finished, almost a month delayed. I originally was going to pick them up at their shop but due to time constraints (I live in Breckenridge) I am no longer able to pick them up in a way that makes sense. So I just asked if they could ship them and of course they said yes and they said the shipping will be on them. Again, they didn't have to do that but they chose to. And this is why I will forever buy Icelantic skis. Not only are their skis bombproof (literally...), their customer service is the standard to what all ski manufacturers should adhere to. They care about their product and will go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy too. Now one quick note about their skis, they are beyond bombproof. They make them so well built that they might put themselves out of business because customers won't need to buy new skis after 2-3 years of using them. Unlike other skis that fall apart or easily break down after lots of use, Icelantic skis hold up. I have a pair that is almost 9 years old now and I still ride on them. They have been over so many rocks and stumps over the years and yet you could tell if you were to look at the bases. I probably have had 3 major core shots in 9 years. By my calculations it should be more like 100, yet the bases hold up super well in terrible skiing conditions. I only "upgraded" because they added early rise tip and tails to the nomads. And I have since purchased their pioneers to expand my skiing quiver. It may be a loooooong time until I will "need" to buy my next pair of replacement skis. If you want to buy a ski that will last a long time and make your purchase feel more like an investment, go with Icelantic. You won't need to purchase a new pair of skis every 3 or so years because of wear and tear!

Cassidy-who runs the shop-knows his stuff--he's also really nice and easy to talk to as I admitted I'm not a cool, powder skiing, challenge-seeking type(anymore) and that I've never skied on wide skis. He helped me choose the Maiden 91s. I skied on them for the first time the other day and OMG--best skiing day maybe ever--everything just seemed easier. I might even revisit powder this season. I love this shop too--cool gear, gifts etc. I bought the rack to display my skis on my wall since they are also a rad work of art. AND these guys are local--grew up skiing in CO and designing and manufacturing here. Thank you Cassidy & Icelantic!!
