No no no! To this business. Nice young guy walked up and told me I need to fix my house siding. Repeatedly asking me when my spouse will be home and if we have a plan tonight, he said he will be give us estimate that's good for forever.... He wanted to make sure we both be home at the time for appointment otherwise he will be in trouble. About a year ago we did 11 windows on the front of the house and followed up with 7 more just this week.. cannot say enough good things about the salesperson, pre inspection and quality assurance people! Cameron McGuire Jr-the Best at being comfortable explaining their products and sharing how heat affects windows at varying levels! He was so nice and walked us thru their products even using a heat lamp to show us how heat affects each window. We were hooked early but he wanted to make sure we had the information to make an informed decision! My husband even fed him while he was here they connected so much! Jeff Cox- did our second install quote! Great guy and did not redo the prior presentation. He knew we were happy with the prior install and made the process easy for us! This week Marcus and Lee came out to install the remaining windows. These guys are professional and personable. Very nice, thorough and engaging as humans. Can't say enough good things! Today, Mike McLeroy Quality Assurance came out and inspected all windows installed. Very friendly and detailed in his QA work. He saw one small thing and said I'm going to get that from my truck. In the end, I did realize they did more than windows...so before he left we had a review of our attic and side room space off the bonus room. Every team member we met with was helpful in finding the best solution for our concerns and budget. Lucky for him, I was still a little irate about the EXTREME ($350+) energy bill I'd just paid. I knew it was due to the windows on my lower levels being one-paned and over 50 years old. I scheduled a consultation in that moment on my porch and I was truly sold when I was informed that people in my neighborhood had used this company's services multiple times. Watch out for these guys! Had an estimate for window replacement prepared about a month ago. At first I was really impressed with the thorough inspection and education. However, at the end of the THREE HOUR visit, I realized they were out to pressure a quick decision, complete with "buy now" discounts only available if you sign agreement on the spot. When I asked if I could get a copy of the terms/agreement first (to review terms of the warranty, for example), I could immediately see the panic in the salesman's face. He refused to share anything in writing, only after signing an agreement. Sorry, but huge red flag and a no go for me. Also, they give discounts for positive reviews. Keep that in mind as you read other reviews. They also tried to scare me with estimated quotes for other companies, which I have found through other independent estimates are way off base. We signed up for Power to do all of our windows (27), new gutters, new soffit, new facia, and new front door in October 2021. The gutter crew they sent out did not speak any English. They proceeded to place new soffit over the old without removing any of the existing soffit. They had to come back and remove all the soffit that they installed, remove the old soffit then replace the new. Down spout straps not tied down, both days the crew was here they were here past dark (7pm using blowers and such cleaning up their mess). The sales team promised that the gutters would be fastened to the home every few feet and that was not the case barely had enough to keep them attached to the house. They left trash and pieces of the old gutters around the home. The facia that was placed was pieced together and looked like garbage the team had to come replace it. There was damage to my roofing shingles. The door we ordered wasn't what was delivered and installed. We ordered a solid door and they brought in a door that was 1/2 glass. But the team had already removed the existing door before they opened the new so we had no choice but to have them install it. The brick mold was pieced together and had to be replaced. Then less than 1 year after new brick mold was installed it has now started to pull away from the house completely. They came and added about 20 nails to the front of the brick mold and a tube of caulking and have new brick mold on order once again. Jan 2023 new brick mold has been ordered, Today April 2023 still no idea when the brick mold will arrive. Their window crew is the only crew that did a good job. I have no complaint regarding the window install. I would NEVER recommend this company. I literally have a 10 page document of all the issues, phone calls and photos documenting the disaster that this company is. If they come knocking on your door, please do yourself a favor and don't answer. read more

We were looking to replace our windows and all of a sudden one of their guys came to our door like a knight in shining armor! When they did their sales pitch, we were sold by the amount of money we could save in energy costs. But it was the windows that really did it. Once they came to replace our windows, I couldn't believe how quickly they finished the project. I think it took them less than 5 hours to complete the entire thing. Not only do those windows look amazing, but I can already feel the difference in the temperature of the room. They were very polite and professional. The whole experience was great. I bought a 1970's home (my second "old" home purchase) that had not had a window or door replacement since it was built. There was a bit of mold and wood rot. Power happened to be going door to door in my neighborhood so I decided to listen to their offer. The initial consultation, inspection, and quote was VERY thorough, and the rapport was comfortable. They were determined to make sure I had every question answered. They brought samples to demonstrate the quality of the product (excellent) and explained all the options. What really sold me was (1) their map of all the homes in my area that had Power windows/doors (I looked to see and the work was great) and (2) their responsiveness and quick estimated work time (just one day to finish 15 windows of various sizes!). I absolutely love my new windows and doors. The finished installation was *clean* ... no gaps, perfect seams and beautiful new trim. The post-work inspector Mike was amazing. I spent 50k with this company for windows and doors. The 6 hour high pressure sales was brutal. DO NOT INVITE THEM IN. The windows are great. but my front door is already rotting, the back door is no longer square and not closing properly. The transom windows and others above your door does not have the same protection that they sell you with the heat lamp extravaganza. look elsewhere and save some money. A very bad start to our very expensive window installation. Power is more expensive than other quotes we had but we liked our initial sale team and felt it would be done well with quality products. When they came to do the final inspection, the quote went up $1000. I was not happy with this but ok, nothing was said that the quote we signed was open to change. Now we are on our second last minute notification that our project has been delayed. This is after we rearranged for the second time our entire schedule, greatly inconveniencing our work and losing income because of it. The take no ownership in the fact that they can't manage the Manufactuing process and that they do not know what day the windows will be done? If you can afford to guess when your house will be torn apart for 48 hours any week last minute then maybe they are not a bad company. For us this is unacceptable. read more

From the initial assessment to the QA check afterwards it was a positive experience. The installation crew was very meticulous and left zero trace that any major work had been performed. Honestly, I gave these scam artists more chances than they deserved, especially after reading the reviews here. First phone call to try and schedule a visit for an estimate, they didn't want to come out at a time that was convenient for me (late afternoon) because they wanted to "have enough time to thoroughly go over everything." *ding* Red Flag number one. This is vinyl siding, it ain't rocket surgery. Take some measurements, snap some pics, ask about any special requirements, plug it all into your estimating software and boom - out comes a number. Second phone call. They finally agreed that they could meet me around 5pm, so I wouldn't have to leave work early for their sales pitch. As we're just about to finalize the appointment they ask, "Does anyone else own the home with you?" I responded yes, my wife and they started asking about her schedule. *ding* Red Flag number two! Now don't get me wrong, women are certainly capable of making prudent decisions about things like this, but I'm sure they are trying to manipulate and take advantage based on old stereotypes. You see, when I was young and stupid, I went through the training program for a door to door vacuum cleaner company. They hammered home the idea that we had to sell to the wives, not the husbands, because they were easier to pressure and could be more easily led into writing a check (that was the company's philosophy, not mine!) If I had any doubts about whether Power Home Remodeling held the same philosophy, they were put to rest when not one, but two separate telephone agents on two separate calls repeatedly referred to her as "the missus." How condescending. "And will 'the missus' be home at that time?" etc. Then they started asking for her work schedule, and her phone number. Hell no. Little did they know, my wife has even less patience than I do for their kind of high pressure sales BS. Against my better judgment, I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. I told my wife beforehand what to expect: "They're probably not just coming out to take measurements. They want to come in the house, spread out all their sales materials, and give a long-winded, high pressure sales pitch and at some point I will have to make them leave." Keep in mind, I made that prediction BEFORE reading the negative reviews here! Ultimately, their rep was a no-call, no-show which I am very grateful for. Someone phoned us from their call center an hour after the scheduled appointment time to try and reschedule and I told them absolutely not. Save yourself some time and aggravation and stay far away from Power Home Remodeling. There are plenty of honest, reputable, non-misogynistic contractors out there who won't make you feel like your trapped in a sales pitch for a weekend timeshare. read more

If you are ever approached by this company, just walk away, and don't waste your time. I typically don't sucked into things like this but I was just curious what it would cost to replace my windows.   I met them at an event in Atlanta and they offered me a free estimate on new windows. I thought, "Hey, why not just find out. If it's a good price, maybe we do it." The quick experience kept dragging so he followed me around with my kids at the event while we set up the appointment for a "free quote". At this point, I should have followed my instincts and told him to go away but I set up the appointment.   The next day, a man showed up to my door and I sat down at the dining room table while he did long presentation about how great they are on an iPad while I sat there going "come on, let's look at the windows and get the quote." Overall, we had some good conversations, so I just kept rolling with it. Finally, he measured the windows and went outside to look at them.   From there, he came back inside, and his tone had gone from friendly and conversational to, wow, your home has problems, you have to get your wife home quick with some of the most typical sales tactics ever. I'm in the sales and marketing world buddy, I know what you're trying to do. He followed this up with, you better get your wife over here so we can pick these out quickly and get this urgent project done.   I said no, just give me the promised "free quote" and he wouldn't, citing that my wife has to be there. I asked why and he said that that's how we end up with bad reviews. We'll, you found another way. At that point, we agreed to end the appointment and he left. There's nothing free about over an hour of wasted time + wasted time at an event. Other window companies just give you a quote and they get in and out quickly.   If you run into these guys, just say no. read more
