If you are ever approached by this company, just walk away, and don't waste your time. I typically don't sucked into things like this but I was just curious what it would cost to replace my windows.   I met them at an event in Atlanta and they offered me a free estimate on new windows. I thought, "Hey, why not just find out. If it's a good price, maybe we do it." The quick experience kept dragging so he followed me around with my kids at the event while we set up the appointment for a "free quote". At this point, I should have followed my instincts and told him to go away but I set up the appointment.   The next day, a man showed up to my door and I sat down at the dining room table while he did long presentation about how great they are on an iPad while I sat there going "come on, let's look at the windows and get the quote." Overall, we had some good conversations, so I just kept rolling with it. Finally, he measured the windows and went outside to look at them.   From there, he came back inside, and his tone had gone from friendly and conversational to, wow, your home has problems, you have to get your wife home quick with some of the most typical sales tactics ever. I'm in the sales and marketing world buddy, I know what you're trying to do. He followed this up with, you better get your wife over here so we can pick these out quickly and get this urgent project done.   I said no, just give me the promised "free quote" and he wouldn't, citing that my wife has to be there. I asked why and he said that that's how we end up with bad reviews. We'll, you found another way. At that point, we agreed to end the appointment and he left. There's nothing free about over an hour of wasted time + wasted time at an event. Other window companies just give you a quote and they get in and out quickly.   If you run into these guys, just say no. read more

Two young men were doing a neighborhood canvas so I arranged to see their salesman for information about their product and the salesman made a very informative presentation which convinced me to invest. The windows are lovely, installation has been done very well. I am very happy with the product and would highly recommend its purchase. read more

We are beyond happy with our new door and gutters installed by Power. We had wood rot on our front door and it was on our to do list for so long. A Power representative came by to introduce himself because they were doing work in the neighborhood. The signup was beyond easy and we were scheduled to be installed quickly. We were able to select every detail of the door down to type of metal for the door knob. The installers were employees of Power and not another 3rd party vendor like other companies. I can only speak to initial contact, but Chase was extremely helpful in explaining their materials and engineering, and was up-front about every cost and possible overruns. He gave me as much time as he could to come to a decision. I ultimately decided not to go with them because the price was almost double another local roofer. Power's roofing was certainly higher quality, I just could not justify the cost. The -1* is because of the corporate-level pricing structure. Costs increasing 30-40% because you can't sign a contract the same day is completely unnecessary, and ultimately could have cost them this sale. I know this, because my company does it as well, and it costs us numerous sales. While I know this is marketing, it feels like a penalty for having the audacity to want multiple estimates before starting an incredibly expensive project. The representative himself didn't make me feel this way, to be clear. He was extremely understanding, and made every effort to indicate he wasn't pressuring me. But reps don't set prices. The quality of their products is outstanding but after installation customer satisfaction of the products can be confusing and overwhelming. So to sum it up their customer satisfaction is lacking. Omg what a long sales pitch and really crazy negotiation tactics that makes no sense to me. I was quoted astronomical numbers for relatively inexpensive stuff to fix. No follow up. The amount of hours spent trying to sell me would probably equal discount of the price I felt comfortable to pay. Really nice folks but honestly it didn't make sense to me the sales technique and all of their marketing materials need help to explain the why which I told to sales person. Sales person comes to house like 7:30pm does all the measurements and bangs nails on my granite counter into wood board with their glass late like 9pm when mother in law trying to sleep in adjacent room kinda tells you something why I asked for a discount up front for first project. 7:30pm sales person arrives to 1am have me ask for more reasonable offer w/o manager to contact me. Complete joke through and through. Everything in their presentation was contradictory. They highlight that the biggest frustration in the home remodeling industry is lack of communication-- how about he fact that PHR completely miscommunicated how much of my time they planned on wasting. 4 hours people... 4 HOURS. We genuinely needed some windows replaced, but now having sat through the tortuous session of their PowerPoint presentation along with them telling us our roof had no less than 6 leaks and needed to be replaced immediately and quoting us $34k no thanks, not interested. ESP given the fact that our independent inspector not 6 months ago told us our roof was in great shape. You guys, if I can offer any amount of advice just please don't event entertain these guys. They won't take no for an answer and will WELL out stay their welcome. We said no multiple times, said we had yet to eat dinner and I even started getting ready for bed and our rep still didn't leave until 10:30pm hit and i literally demanded it. I don't event blame the sales reps or the poor community manager that is going to respond to this post and make every excuse in the book- I used to work for a scammish company myself so I get it. When you all decide you can/want to do better call me. I place sales and marketing/social media specialists for a living and would love to help you work for a real reputable company that won't make you try to pressure people to buy until they kick you out of their home. read more

Very pricey, compared to the competition, but I was willing to pay to get better customer service maybe better quality. Can't speak to their work cause we never go there, but I can speak to their customer service. I had a leak on one of the windows which was one of my main concerns, so when they came to sign the contract I made sure to emphasize that this needs to be fixed and they promised me that they would, also said "you can give me a call any time we will take care of you." Pre-inspection day I am told they don't deal with leaks and that I would have to fix it myself and that they lied to me. So that's what I did, I found someone to come and fix the leak. Now I am trying to call them and I cannot get to my point of contact for a week. They can't even reach out to my HOA to ask a question. I finally reach out to someone ask to deduct the cost of fixing the leak that they promised they would fix and they are being very condescending back. Apparently I miss understood what they said. On one email they are telling me they would have fixed it and in the next they are telling me that's not what they do and that I misunderstood. Had to cancel the project. I would work with someone who lies to me or at the very least don't know what they are talking about. read more

It started off as many reviewers before me mention, a door to door salesman. The guy seemed nice and having 60+ year old windows on our recently purchased home, we were indeed in the market for some new windows. He started off with the basic name, phone number type questions. Then progressed to my spouse and how often we're home, what time do we come and go? Seemed to be a little more intrusive the further along we got in the conversation. I figured it was a sales thing and just have rather generic answers, still interested in the free quote though... He then calls his scheduler and confirms all of the same information again. The scheduler asked when a good time was for both my wife and I to be home to do the estimate. I explained my wife has 0% interest in this type of process and leaves these decisions fully in my hands. That apparently wasn't good enough for the scheduler. She continued asking me dates and times for the two of us to be together. I tried explaining to her that if my wife was forced to be present for this estimate, we probably won't ever be getting new windows. So instead of just having a basic understanding, she then tells me they will call me back later to gather the information for when the two of us will be together... I mean come on, I get that for your sales reasons you want the two of us together, but you're over selling this and seemingly speaking from a script. After reading the reviews on here it all came together. This is just a high pressured sales company that happens to install windows and other items on the home. I was genuinely interested in buying an entire home full of windows, but, you guys lost me just on basic principal. Also reading your responses to these complaints just shows your high level of incompetence. Instead of being understanding to people's complaints, you make excuses for every single one of them. Do NOT let these people into your home - they are predators and will NOT leave, even when requested. We agreed to an appointment to inspect/review our windows at a particular time. We were VERY clear that we were in not in a position to purchase, but being the stupidly nice person I am I agreed to the appointment to help the guy out. We live in a non-soliciting neighborhood, but again, being stupidly nice I let him in. The salesman showed up and essentially held us captive in our own home. He was literally there for almost FOUR hours from about 5p-9p. We repeatedly told him to wrap it up, we needed to get on with our evening, have dinner, etc. yet he continued to press on and would NOT back down or leave. We did not physically force him out of our home but in retrospect we should have. If I was home alone I would have called the authorities - yes, it was THAT bad. He pushed and pushed and pushed to the point where we all we wanted was him out of our home. We felt coerced and so under duress we signed an agreement for the next step in the process. A few days later a project manager came out to confirm measurements, the amount of work, etc. At that time I was told that the final installation would not look like what the salesman explained to us. He clearly misrepresented the outcome and I refused to initial the paperwork saying no changes after that point. Once it was clear the business was in jeopardy, the project manager left my home and came back saying he spoke with his manager and although they "never do this", they would have their installers do extra work to make sure the new window matched my existing ones. The issue was trim work involving cutting, building up molding, and painting. The promise was clearly made to appease me and additional $ was added to our final estimate. Once again, I was made to feel uncomfortable in my own home and continued to refuse to initial the "no changes" line. We ended up with a cross-county family emergency (87 year old mom) and lost track of the timing of the contract. I pushed out the original installation date (the one made after 4 hours of the salesman being in our home) due to our emergency. I then called to cancel the contract and was told that despite my not fully initializing the final document we were still under contract due to language in the original multi-page contract and that our only recourse was to move forward or pay a $1.5k restock fee for material that were supposedly ordered. There is NO way I will allow anyone from this company near , let along in, our home. We are now stuck with with $1.5k out of pocket and no window or getting legal representation as there is no way this company is putting me through continued duress, getting our business / $9k of our money. Even though it will likely cost more for representation than paying the $1.5k in materials we are going down that route. I should also point out that in addition to the unscrupulous sales tactics mentioned above, they utilize a variety of aggressive sales incentives through which they promise to lower pricing. One include a special discount for leaving a review of the company. If you look on line, the overall reviews are stellar but in all likely hood not credible. I can't warn you enough to STAY AWAY - and above all else, do NOT let anyone from this company in your home! read more

I'm surprised that anyone falls for the high pressure bait-and-switch sales tactics used by this company. On two separate occasions different sales people came to my house to give me a quote for siding and windows. They both gave an extremely high estimate that is good for a year, and a slightly more reasonable estimate "that is only good if you sign today". I explained to both sales people that I would not approve any work unless I talk to my bank first, but that didn't stop them from trying to kill me with a PowerPoint presentation and wasting my time. Everything about the sales process raised red flags for dealing with this company. I'm glad I didn't sign anything with them because it legitimately felt like I was being conned into purchasing something overpriced without being given the opportunity to do any research first. read more

The sales pitch was longer than buying all my vehicles combined. We were ready to buy, but 4 hours later I had lost any and all interest. Guys were exceptionally nice and professional, but did not seem to listen when we said we were on a time crunch. I told the sales rep I just wanted measurements and price quotes. I lead off with the fact that I only had about an hour to spare and that I did not need to see the demos and what not. Yet, it was one thing after another. I understand I am making a big purchase and I understand what is involved. I'm just not sure what the top executives are pushing down on these sales guys. It was a brutally long one sided discussion. Power Home and Remodeling was a great experience from the start. We had a wonderful "Human Being" London Tilghman who showed up for an evening appointment in the rain and gave 110%. We had an abundance of questions regarding gutters and windows which required her to go outside into rainy weather more than once. She was a total champ but also made it feel like she was enjoying the process and believed in the product whole heartedly. She truly laid out all of our options for quality and design choices and hung with us until 11pm going over the pricing and options between financing or paying in full which she also did with the best attitude and energy. The pre install representative the installers and customer service all along the way was amazing and above board. We had a quality control assessment after install and it was a great experience to have someone physically come and walk around outside and ask if we were truly happy and would we like any changes before closing out. Our experience debunked every myth about bad contractors and that is priceless. The Lifetime Warranty is the icing on the cake! Give them a try they have options for everyone. read more

At that point the rep gave us an option to have our house photographed with before and after photos by doing this it would bring the number down to $17 and change. We still declined. At this point the rep offered to take another $1,000 off. So if you are considering this company make sure you get the employee cost which is a bit lower then the original number. The rep makes you believe that their product is superior by indicating how their windows are superior to other windows out there. This is not the case. you can find a similar product for the same cost. As any company do your homework and get multiple quotes. read more
