I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Power Window Treatments. What should have been a straightforward installation turned into a frustrating, stressful, and time-consuming ordeal due to repeated errors by their management team. The company failed to measure the windows correctly on multiple occasions, which led to incorrect orders and missing windows. As a result, their team had to return to my home several times. With multiple small children in the house, coordinating these unscheduled visits was extremely difficult and created a huge burden for my family. These disruptions affected both my workday and our daily routine. These issues were not due to the installers themselves, who were professional and courteous despite being given incorrect information from the office. However, the complete lack of follow-through from managers Alex and Chris made everything worse. They never sent a quality assurance specialist to double-check the work, and I was never given advance notice of when the installers would be returning... they just showed up unannounced. Despite several attempts to contact both Alex and Chris directly to resolve these problems, I never received a single callback. Their poor communication and lack of accountability turned a bad experience into an unacceptable one. I would not recommend Power Window Treatments to anyone, especially families. Save yourself the headache and stress, it's better just to go with a company that actually follows through on their commitments and save your self all hemming and ha-ing and just go with a better company. read more

Lifetime Warranty Not Honored Power Home Remodeling Group approached me while canvassing my neighborhood and identified work that my home needed. I agreed to hear their proposal, which covered windows, doors, siding, and roofing. The presentation was polished but very long and quite pushy. While that gave me some pause, I ultimately moved forward because I needed new windows, a neighbor recommended them, and the lifetime warranty was strongly emphasized as a key benefit. In 2014, Power Home installed nine windows for approximately $9,000. The installation itself was professional and well executed, and at the time I was satisfied with the work. In 2025, I began noticing discoloration in several of the windows, which worsened over time and affected multiple units. When I contacted Power Home, I was told the window seals were failing. I was then informed that because the window manufacturer is now out of business, the windows could only be replaced if I paid for each replacement. This was not what was represented to me when I agreed to the contract. The lifetime warranty was presented as covering full replacement at no cost, and it is disappointing to learn years later that this coverage is effectively void due to their choice of manufacturer. I feel misled and believe the lifetime warranty was not honored as it was sold to me. I am sharing this experience so others are aware that the warranty may not offer the protection they expect. read more

Horrible warranty on windows that cost way too much. After having windows installed a few years back we had an issue with the seal on our bay window, it took the company over 10 months to get the window in and replace it. Now 2 years later every single double hung window we have has seal issues on both top and bottom and they are telling us that the manufacturer they dealt with discontinued the windows and they can no longer fix under warranty but they can order a replacement sash for top and for bottom both coating $180 each - $360 for each window!!!!! I do not recommend going with them for any type of new window installation because lifetime warranty is not what they are offering. Its all a scam and I will not pay them $2600 to replace a sash that this will most likely happen again in a few years , it's not a coincidence it's every single window at the same exact time.... read more

Power installed our windows in 2013 and we've been thrilled with the look, quality and durability. The lifetime warranty was a huge selling point for us. When we knew our aging roof wasn't going to last much longer, we knew who to call. They gave us fair, loyal customer pricing and excellent financing. The team was courteous, respectful and cleaned up when the job was done. They had the entire roof complete in less than 2 days and it looks fabulous. I'm so happy I trusted Power and we just signed to have them do our siding as well. I'm excited to experience our "new house" with all the improvements! We just got our siding finished in Regatta Blue. We had to have asbestos shingles removed from the back of our house and Power worked with us on pricing to hire a local contractor to get it done safely. Power had to postpone on us twice due to the weather, but it worked out okay. I was getting nervous because of all the bad reviews on here. They said it would take three days and finished in 2. They cleaned up after themselves and everything looks perfect. The team was nice and responsive. I wasn't thrilled that they disconnected my internet without warning me, but they hooked it up again before they left for the day. I would have liked a heads up since I work from home, but I understand why they had to disconnect while they worked on that area. All in all, it was finished quickly, with minimal disruption to our routine, pricing and financing seemed fair, and I'm happy with the end result. For all of those who say they "bribe" customers for good reviews, that was not the case here at all! We negotiated on price but that was separate from any reviews or coverage and price was already determined. We didn't get anything for free or, as a journalist for top ecommerce outlets and an elite yelp reviewer, I would have to disclose that. So if other people got discounts - I'd be mad! Lol Anyway - really happy and much better going with a prestigious, nationwide company than a fly by night contractor, although I do prefer to support local businesses when possible! read more

We have had ongoing issues with this company across multiple installations. The initial window installation had quality problems, including messy grout, paint damage from tape removal, and a defective window. After replacement, the new window still does not stay open. When concerns were raised, a supervisor visited the home but also discussed additional sales for siding and a front door, which we proceeded with. During the siding installation, multiple holes were left in interior walls, requiring documentation and third-party repair work. The front door installation was also incomplete, as a promised keypad was not installed and required a follow-up visit. Communication has been a persistent issue. Multiple requests for a manager callback have not been returned, and we were informed the earliest available service appointment to address the window issue is approximately five months out. At this time, we have an unresolved functional issue with the window and have not received timely support despite repeated attempts to resolve it. We would not recommend based on our experience with installation quality and service follow-through. read more

Had my window's done in 2017 everything seemed fine at first. Thay had screws in the exterior caulk joint, window's didn't align even though they were right next to each other, during high winds the windows would leak and their would be a draft even though they sold this whole spary foam stuff. After a few years their were numerous seal failures in the window's and anytime they ordered replacements they took almost a year to get. Now their saying that any future replacement i would have to cover a portion of it, not to mention everytime they replaced a window the physical seal didn't match what was existing on the rest of the window's or even the one right next to it. Power home remodeling is no longer honoring their "double lifetime warranty" on their windows. They have sold many people faulty windows that have seal failure within a few years. All of our windows have had to be replaced with in a few years of being replaced by Power. This was frustrating but for a while Power replaced at no charge. Now they have devised a plan to make customers responsible for paying $180 per window sash. I have four that need to be replaced currently. I wish companies would do the right thing. Don't they realize that by covering the $800 to do these replacements would end up giving them more business in the long run when customers applaud them for doing the right thing. I would like to discourage anyone from using Power Home Remodeling. 10 years ago, I had all my siding, windows, and patio door installed through them with lifetime warranty included. Over the years they had been good with their service. I even had warranty replacements on some of the windows due to sash failure. Forward to today, I called for more warranty replacements of additional windows and was told that I needed to pay for the windows. Apparently, they changed their warranty and will no longer honor previous warranties. Beware that this might happen to you as well. I am now looking for ways to take legal action. read more

Poor quality materials , poor customer service . I had siding replacement that started to melt and contacted the company for a resolution . A technician came out and stated it was covered under warranty. After waiting several months for an appointment date , I replaced my neighbors screens ( they claimed melting occurred based on neighbors windows creating a solar reflection. They scheduled to come out for the repair and then later decided not to come out and want me to pay for the repairs . I rarely leave negative reviews, but after months of frustration and multiple failed appointments, I feel obligated to warn other customers about my experience with Home Remodeling Group. We paid a significant amount of money for a bow window replacement advertised as high-quality and backed by a lifetime guarantee. Only six years later, the window began having serious issues. When I contacted the company, they assured me the problem would be resolved under the warranty. Unfortunately, the experience since then has been completely unacceptable. For the first repair appointment, my husband took a full day off from work to be home. The crew arrived with the WRONG glass and admitted they could not complete the repair. We were told another appointment would be necessary. For the second appointment, I personally took a day off from work. We were told the crew would arrive at 1 PM. After multiple unanswered calls and no communication, they finally arrived around 4:30 PM, only to tell us they were once again unprepared, did not bring the required materials, and could not complete the work. At this point, we have lost multiple workdays due to this company's incompetence, lack of preparation, poor communication, and complete disregard for customers' time. A lifetime guarantee means very little if a company cannot properly coordinate repairs, honor appointment times, or come prepared to do the work they scheduled. For a company charging premium prices, this level of service is extremely disappointing. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and accountability. Run don't walk away from this company. Installation teams were great. After things were installed the company goes downhill fast. I have had to call to get 3 windows replaced( 1 with 2 weeks, 1 a year later-each window took a min of 6 months to have replaced and 1 window I had to do myself because they mailed the sashes to me and it would have taken another 3 months to get a tech to my house., Siding that was falling off my house and hitting my wall for 6 months before someone could fix it-it was back to falling off within 2 weeks after it "was fixed" and another 4 months before it was fixed. The pricey equipment doesn't last and you will wait months to get it fixed - and now they are charging me $420 to replace a corner piece of siding because its not covered under the warranty. They lied about the warranties and we're waiting for a year for them to come and fix our screens and windows that we had to pay because they wouldn't honor their warranty. I purchased windows from Power shone in August of 2024. On 6 windows I spent a little over $7000. They were relentless in coming to my house and knocking on my door unannounced, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I purchased windows with them because I didn't need windows... the door knockers come to my house at least twice a month trying to get more work... I would like to be taken off this list. I do not want them here any longer. . They stated that Anderson windows uses the same manufacturer as Power Home but when I spoke with Customer Service just two days ago, they stated no they do not so I was lied to. In any event every time I try to open these windows to clean them, the left side drops and I cannot close them. Thank goodness for my husband being able to maneuver somehow without breaking it completely I'm able to close these windows and thank goodness because when you call for an appointment, you have to wait three months. I broke my first one in December and they didn't come till March. The same thing has happened again to a different window and now they're not coming till June.. I was told a supervisor call me and they never did. I believe her name was Rachel. She was supposed to call me yesterday. Never received a phone call.. I'd say the quality of these windows are very poor... The way they get dirty it's very hard to clean them. You cannot get a supervisor on the phone and you have to wait three months for someone to come and fix your window.. there's a malfunction with these windows and it's not being addressed. One other thing, the Installer just showed up at my house without calling me the day before or calling me to say that he was on his way. It literally took him 10 minutes to fix however I had to wait here for him to come and that is unacceptable that I even had to go through all of that with brand new windows that I spent $7000 on.. With that being said, I had more windows to do, but I will not be going through Power Home Remodeling. My windows should not be breaking when I open them to clean them.. the ones I had were better actually I should've just left it alone. I do not recommend this company! read more

This is update to roof installation made by Power in Oct of 2024. Recent blizzard snow and ice damaged an existing skylight. Now Power wanted to install skylights in initial contract - without telling me that theirs did not open, while existing ones did and provided great ventilation in Spring, Summer evenings and Fall. Room unuseable without it. So I managed to catch this error at last minute and altered contract to eliminate them. (an indication that Power rushed the sale without really inspecting the actual items nor fully describing the work). Now, needed immediate repairs to leaks, question came up of matching the shingles. Trying to obtain them, at my expense, from Power hit a brick wall. Power would not allow as shingles thru GAF were unique and proprietary to Power. Done with Power at this point. While job was and is first rate, I must point out to LI customers to avoid dealing with them due to their high pressure sales. I would suggest that the best way would be, if called upon by the Power salesman who happens to be around due to local work, would be to postpone until you assess your needs fully, and get other estimates before they come, and then stick to your best judgement based on a proper timeline for the work actually needed. In my case, although I truly needed the roofing done, I should have postponed any work and included an assessment of the skylights first, then accessed roofing quotes, and then contact Power. Power might represent the best work, but pricing may or may not be within your budget, and allows you to better control the outcome to your own benefit first. As for me, lesson learned. Power is, however removed from my contractor contacts. If they can't support their work, I need to source more cooperative alternatives. read more

Btw, why do door to door solicitors deem it necessary to tell you that they completed work at your neighbors' home? Rob shared that info-which wasn't true, so I asked him if my neighbor was paying for my roof? why do I care who else is getting work done. Anyway, Rob calls Brice on the phone to confirm the 6:30p appt for that evening. Brice asked me a few questions. Rob reconfirmed my 6:30p appt w/Brice who then said, 2 minutes later, my 6:30p is no longer available. Rob then asked if he could come 7p, or the following day. Doesn't take much for me, so I told him all bets are off. How could Brice make such an incompetent mistake? No answer required. And no service requested. This company is a scam, sold and installed defective windows and now they are not honoring the lifetime warranty. I called the manufacturer and they are still honoring the warrantee to Power Home Remodeling Group which is in turn not honoring it to buyers unless you pay a fee. Very expensive especially if you are replacing windows every year. They now installing Peller windows instead however everyone who got windows installed previously have no resolution. This is not just a random thing - everyone on facebook having same issues. I had them replace the window panes at least 4 times already, each time stating they manufacturer has fixed the issue but that's not true either. read more

We did 5 windows, planned on doing more in the house, but now definitely will not use them again. The workers are great, the installers and the guys working on commission, the estimate guys, etc- all above and beyond. Almost impossible to talk to anyone in the office- was told they have so much work! A month after my installation, my net was installed ripped and broken, and the lock part of the window "broke or fell off in the truck" still no replacement or fix to that. The seals of the window suck, and some of my windows don't even lock. Not to forget- i had 2 people come measure- one said the estimate guy was wrong so he changed the measurements- install day came, windows were too big, had to order the right ones and delay install, so far it has just been chaotic and unreliable. Complete scam. Spent more than 4 hours with a salesman who examined all our windows thoroughly, and we negotiated and agreed on a price. Had a quote locked in and signed tons of contracts. 3 days later, the "pre-inspection" guy came and spent another hour here, and raised the price by $1,500 because the first guy "missed some things". We insisted that the quote be honored, but it was not. We asked a supervisor to call us, but he would not. We now have worthless "contracts" that are not valid on their end but the fine print says might still be valid on ours, so we got as much in writing as possible that the project would not continue. 5 hours of my life was wasted.
