I won't go here anymore. They tried to rip me off! Came in for an alignment, it took an hour and half for them to get to me. Then they only adjusted my toe and left the camber as is. The lady who runs the place said it was done and asked for payment. But was hiding the alignment results. I asked to see them and questioned them because they were mostly in the red (out of spec) So glad I caught this. She then said to come back. Yeah never again!! I didn't pay and walked away. The lady that runs this place is a complete b**ch. I took my car for an alignment and an arm replacement and she said it needed this and the other charged me above $1,400 I cant remember the exact price but was expensive asf. I haven't even said "yes" to the price and they were about to work on my car. Then I said no and she was mad and told her people to get ready my car for me to take it. I felt bad for the men cuz the were working so hard so I try to leave them a $40 tip to the guys but I didn't see them again, so I went to the lady and told her "can you please give this to the guys that were putting my car together?" She took it and said "it's for me you wasted my time and this is the minimum you can do" and she walked away really fast and I saw it putting the money on her back pocket. If I could give this place 1 star I would. I took my sons car to get an alignment and change his bald tire out. The car was shaking the minute we drove off and the tire popped 2 weeks later. I went to this place on a referral from a tire place in escondido. So I take the drive because I USED to be soooo trusting. I take the 20 minute drive assuming ( ya know what they say about the word assume ) that these folks would be legit. Bad idea Tony. I get there in my pride and joy, a 95' Chevy Silverado that I'm trying to return to it's original condition. It pulled to the right so I figured this was the cure. The guy working there looks at my truck and says a truck the size of mine would be $100. Ok. Let's do it. I wandered around the complex while they put it on a rack and preformed the alignment. Now here's where they earned their one star. I'd give them less but I'm here to warn people before they let folks toss money at them. The ball joints on my truck are shot. Because of back issues I can't look under the chassis myself. Now..if you're under my truck making adjustments...how can you NOT notice a sagging ball joint on one side and a worn one on the other side. An alignment is going to last long enough to leave their property. I take it to another alignment shop THE NEXT DAY and it's all out of alignment again. I was allowed to walk into the bay and yuuuuuup sagging lower ball joints. So one of two things happened. A- they just put it on the rack and watched TV and did nothing or B- used zip ties to keep it adjusted til I left. B probably didn't happen so that leaves me with A. They did provide me with a very colorful print out though. And it only cost me $100. Don't go there. Unless you have money to toss away. I'm a disabled senior and people like this sicken me. I replaced the ball joints then had it realigned AGAIN. Sorry guys ..you failed and I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Office. Questions , comments. Super honest place! As a woman, I know that I am viewed by many auto repair businesses as "easy money". I took my vehicle in for two tires and noticed they do alignments as well, so I asked how much it would cost. He quoted me a good price (I think it was $60), but he actually asked WHY I wanted an alignment. I told him it's a 7 year old car and it has never been done. He said he'd check it out, and then took the time to show me why my car did NOT need an alignment. He could've easily taken advantage of me, but was very honest! These guys are pretty great. I have an old '91 Isuzu Trooper that was riding on Mexican May-Pop tires. My tread has been thin for far too long, and last week some of the tread began to show on one of them. It was way past time to replace them. I'm also not a member of the 1% by any stretch of the imagination. While my financial situation is slowly improving, getting four WONDERFUL "new" (used) tires on the Trooper, mounted, balanced and installed for only $180... simply ROCKS! Not even 2 weeks after getting alignment at this shop I noticed my car was drifting to the left and the steering wheel didn't appear to be straight while driving anymore. I took my vehicle back and even though they agreed it needed a only a 1 degree adjustment on the rear passenger wheel, they would only charge me to fix it for $40. I only drove out of my way back to these guys because when I called they said if it is a minor adjustment that they would fix it for free. Well I drove all the way back up to them and they insist that I drove off a curb or went through a nasty pothole which makes them not liable to their work done on the previous alignment. The mechanics were cool about everything so that's why I am not giving them a one star, but it was the bitchy female owner who only spoke in Spanish to them saying they can't charge me any less than $40 to fix it. I just don't get it since I paid $50 to align all 4 tires. How does only one tire cost $40???? The owner lady had such an ugly attitude I couldn't stand on my previous 4 star any longer. read more

This location and company is a complete joke. I was a return customer of their San Marcos location for many years. I'd purchased maybe 6-7 sets of $1000+ tires from them. Francisco was awesome... then they shut it down and kept only the Vista location. The little guy that works here is OK, defiantly no Francisco, but the woman that has been taking his place while he is out sick is a complete joke. Zero customer service skills and zero will to help a customer out there has returned with an issue. Spent a ton of money on new tires and alignment to only be questioned on if I really did purchase them there. Not willing to help, very unfriendly, and borderline rude. Will be complaining to the BBB. Save your money and go elsewhere, they make up for their low prices with shotty work and bad attitudes. Will absolutely not help you if you return with an issue. The service was excellent! My husband and I noticed our tire indicator was on. We aren't from the area having visits LegoLand the day before. We didn't want to take a chance and drive home on a low tire. So, we checked Yelp and found Power Tire. The technician found the problem, a nail, and patched it up for us. We didn't even need to get our 7-month-old and 4-year-old out of the truck which was a big help. They charged a pittance which was nice. We would have paid more for the peace of mind. read more

called the day before to see if they took appointments and the lady said yes so i scheduled one for 3 the next day. day of the appointment i show up 5 min early and a little kid comes into the office and says they will start once they are done with the truck. i said ok and proceeded to wait. someone guy comes up to me and asks if i had an appointment i say yes then ask him if he knows how long it will be till they can start on my car. he says he will go ask and come back. well i'm waiting another 30 minutes for an answer and can see everyone eating in the back. i understand we all get hungry and need a break but its already 4 and my "appointment" was supposed to be at 3. don't think it takes much energy to come tell me how long it will be then you can go back to eating. just left after an hour of no one talking to me. read more

In addition they prepped my old rim free of charge so that it could have the tire installed. These guys know what they are doing and the service was EXCELLENT. Call this store first! Oh if only Yelp would allow me to give 0 stars. So here's how my experience with Power Tires went. I called into the San Marcos branch to get the bolts on my tires removed and replaced with new ones that I had bought in advance. After telling me they were unable to break the bolts, I had to drive to their vista location to get the job finished. Being an English speaker but understanding a basic amount of Spanish, I was able to tell that the mechanics had found the key for my tire bolts, meaning I did not need to break the locks. However they thought I was unable to understand them, thus attempting to force me to allow them to break the locks; completely unnecessary!! After telling them I could understand everything they were saying, they clearly felt highly embarrassed before I told them I wanted nothing further to do with their business. Be very careful if you ever use this business. Take a Spanish speaker with you or prepare to pay above and beyond. read more

My mechanic at Kar Kare Clinic (Sam) told me it was time for some new tires and a front end alignment. I asked for a recommendation. He pointed right across the way to Power Tires. They offer new and used tires. I went right over and bought new tires and had my front end aligned. Now not to knock the big retailers but they will always recommend to replace all four tires and they do not do front end alignments. Hmmmmm bad front end alignments will lead you to a set of new tires pretty quick. So I opted to get new tires from Power Tires. While it is not a big fancy tire shop with lots of displays and fresh or not so fresh coffee from a Mr. Coffee, it is family owned. I got a great deal AND contributed to a local family owned business. And that beats a cold cup of coffee in my book. At the end of the day I got great tires at a great price and contributed to the local economy. Please check them out. My trustworthy mechanic trusts them and so do I. read more

Priced new ones elsewhere and for a good brand I was looking at over $100 each plus all the charges they ad on for installation, recycle fees, road hazard fees, all that stuff. Lowest price I could find was nearly $300! Instead I went to Power Tires and paid $120 for two like new Firestone tires. Excellent! I will never buy tires from anyone else. Period. read more

Came in because my tire kept leaking air. Manager had me pull in right away. Told me if there was a nail or something in the tread they would fix it. They were already working on another car when I got there but fit me in. Fixed the tire with a patch in about 20minutes. The price was very reasonable. The service was very good. I took my car here for a front break service/ and a right front steering knuckle replacement after I picked up my car the very same day I had to take it back to their shop, because my breaks screaked very loud & my car did not have a smooth stop & my break & abs light was on & would not go off. they co- owner of power tires told me this is normal & the lights would go off soon they did not. So I took my car to ford dealer & they inspected my car, they told me that the steering knuckle that power tires replaced is not abs compatible this is the reason for the break & abs light being on. I let power tires know what ford said & I ask for a full refund of my money but of coarse I did not get a response from power tires I contacted automotive bureau repair in Nov. 2014 and the ABR. has found several violations on this business They told ABR. they would agree to refund my money I still have not received a penny! I would not recommend a friend or anyone to this repair shop ever! read more
