We also had the fig appetizer. Definitely a 10/10. We had 8 people so share was the theme for the night. Someone had the Lasagna, another had the chicken pasta dish. We also had pizzas, The pesto pepperoni, the Farm, and the Butcher Block. All were fantastic! Our waitress was very attentive and very nice. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Even our teens enjoyed their experience. We would totally recommend Cesario's Pizza to all our friends!

Sitting just over the…read morestate line in Rossville, it was actually closer than some of there pizzerias I have frequented in Chattanooga. Cute place, with both inside and outside seating, and with the weather looking a bit foreboding, we selected inside. So, what did they get right......let's start within the crust, brick oven, thin crust, always the best pizza base. I would offer none of their regular pizza offerings are what one typically finds at a local pizzeria, love it, and there are plenty of offerings whether you seek a traditional red or white base, with pesto options as well. It's an incredible range of pizzas that they offer, along with a few other Italian offerings. We ordered the Dolce Vita off the regular menu and that evening's special, The Creep, along with the Fig Amafi starter. The starter was nice. The pizzas were great, and whoever came up with the recipe for the Creep, you're a mad scientist, that stone ground mustard aioli, what a beautifully subtle touch. So what went wrong, our server was perfect, but she was undone by the kitchen as it took three tries to finally get the pizza order right. That put one person completely off eating cycle with the rest of the table, as you might imagine. While I can appreciate it might take some time for the pizza prep, the wait time for the drinks was horrific. The overall meal experience was too slow, some of that was the pizza error but everything was slow to arrive. One other comment about food safety, not sure why a guest was allowed in the food prep area, that's a real no-no. Plus one of the orders for the outside eating area was delivered via the street as opposed to the doorway in the rear of the restaurant. Another food safety issue, it's a minor thing, but why make such a basic mistake. This pizzeria has the potential to be a five-star. Pay attention to the little things, and maybe broaden your beer selection. The potential here is clear, and I will try one more visit to see if Cesario's can become part of my regular pizzeria rotation, or if it becomes relegated to a pizza shop I visit on occasion for a carry-out.

It's one of those places that's consistently good and easy to keep coming back to. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. They have a patio area that's not fully outside, but the windows open completely when the weather is nice which makes it feel really open and airy. I actually had my rehearsal dinner here, and the staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating throughout the whole process. Food-wise, I love, love, love their Italian chopped salad. The dressing is so good and it's something I end up ordering every time. They also offer pizza by the slice, which I like because they always have specific slices available plus a rotating "home slice" each day, they're also pretty generous size wise. The slices are good, but ordering a full pizza is definitely better because it comes out fresh. Another thing I really like is the adult fried cheese appetizer, which is basically like a spicy pepperoni and cheese egg roll and it's really good. Parking is typical for downtown. There's street parking or a lot across the street. Most of it is paid parking except for nights and Sundays. Overall this is one of my go-to spots in Chattanooga and somewhere I always recommend when people ask where to eat downtown.

Apparently, we had come during Chattanooga Pizza week. We had to wait a hot minute to order, and after that it was about a 1hr wait for our food. (I want to be clear that I think this wait time was because of the special pizza week that was going on and is not a regular occurrence.) That being said, we had our sodas, and they were able to get our side salads and garlic knots out to use pretty quickly. It was just the pizzas themselves that took a little bit. The staff were working so hard, and I want to give a shout out to the woman running the register who always knew what was going on whenever anyone came to check on their order. The side salad was delicious - I got mine with homemade ranch. And the garlic knots were perfection. I also really enjoyed our pizza when it came out. It was also great when we had leftovers later in the weekend. I would definitely come back and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is visiting Chattanooga.

We entered the door furthest from the chapel, which turned out to be a side entrance. We were kindly redirected to the hostess. We were promptly seated and then greeted by Nikki. Sunday's breakfast is a buffet style of a very high quality and diverse, including European style items. The muffins and mini quiches were made with quality ingredients and had to be locally made from scratch. While I did not partake, my fav feature was the donut wall - a large wooden board w donuts on pegs. What a fun way to display a variety of donuts and be engaging for kids and kids at heart. And the Jittery Joe coffee just hit - right temp and flavor. What we didn't expect is the restaurant being open to the chapel's large foyer. We were seated so we could see the foyer and parishioners greeting each other before service. People also came into the restaurant to quickly say hi to servers and staff. At first it was a bit strange (I'm agnostic) but found it added to the warm and welcoming feel of the restaurant. I'm interested to eat lunch here next time we visit. Seems they have a diverse menu.

It was a little more busy when we came in but it definitely got awkwardly quiet closer to 1pm. They didn't have any music playing and the place is kinda big, plus noise tends to echo, so that made our conversation a bit more public than I would like. The church chairs also were kind of messing with the vibe. Looking back, I'm not surprised at all to find out the restaurant is affiliated with a church. But the food was great! My friend enjoyed her pizza and I liked my burger and fries. I think the burger could have had some more flavor to it and more cheese, but the bun was awesome and the fries were amazing. I'd definitely order the fries again. If you're looking for a vibey restaurant to have a private conversation, this is not the place for you lol. But if you're meeting up with a group or idk... are cool with eating in a quiet churchy atmosphere then this is a good place to go. The food is solid and our server was great. They also have their own parking lot, which makes things easy.

Industrial floor cleaner aroma while you eat? A given. Parking is pretty decent for the area, with at least one handicapped space right in front of the entrance door. Walking in was surprisingly cozy, with wood on the walls and muted colors for the seating. We were greeted on entry and seated quickly. Seating is a mix of tables and booths. Our waitress left menus and took our drink order as we sat down. The menu is rather extensive. The primary cuisine is Mexican, but they also offer traditional recipe pizzas as well as chicken wings. Many dishes are cooked in a wood fired oven. Our drinks came quickly, and we still needed time to make our selections. After a few more minutes, our waitress returned and we placed our orders. We did not receive any salsa and chips for the table, which was a bit surprising for a Mexican restaurant. We decided to order their homemade guacamole to start. The appetizer came out in maybe five minutes. The portion was much smaller than expected, and the guacamole was bland. It needed a good addition of both salt and garlic to improve the flavor. In addition, the chips were straight from the bag, without even being warmed. The food took about ten minutes or so to be brought to the table. The Pollo a la lena is two wood fired pieces of chicken, along with salad, refried beans, and rice. It also comes with your choice of wheat or corn tortillas. The chicken was tender and juicy, very well spiced with additional flavor from the wood oven. The refried beans are not the typical gray mush but actually have noticeable black beans. The rice was typical, but included corn, peas, and carrot pieces for additional flavor. The salad included crisp lettuce and diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos. The corn tortillas are made in house and compared well to the other components of the dish. I would absolutely order this outstanding dish again. The pollo loco was another good dish. The ratio of chicken to rice was good, and the amount of cheese was less than typical, which allowed more of the other flavors to come through. The asada torta was also good. The ingredients were plentiful compared to the bread, and everything seemed fresh and very flavorful. Even the french fries were well made. The chimichanga was the least liked dish, but still tasted good. It was prepared well and had a nice cheese topping. On it's own it would be a good choice, only suffering in comparison to the other outstanding dishes. One word of caution: the salsa accompanying the pollo a la lena and the torta is surprisingly spicy. The heat is deceptive, coming on slowly and lingering awhile. Although I was surprised at first taste, I included it in every bite of chicken, so it is addictive. Based on this visit, I definitely want to try more options from the menu, especially the pizzas.
