I love the scheduling and flexibility of getting on the reformer for a duo lesson. The studio is clean and equipment is top notch. I regret saying I took my first ever reformer Pilates class here and had the worst experience. I took Andi's class. I read her bio on the website and was excited seeing she was also a yoga instructor (yoga is a big part of my life) and very experienced. I arrived to the studio a little nervous as I'm brand new to reformer Pilates and did the class by myself. (I booked a class described as beginner friendly) I entered the building and she looked me up and down and turned away from me to go back to talking to the other 4 girls who were there for the class. They clearly all knew each other and were regulars to this class. She didn't say a single word to me. I had never been to this studio and had no idea what to do. I spotted a wall of cubbies that I walked over to, and put my stuff down. She stopped her conversation (gossiping about another Pilates instructor) to say "is this your first class" in a very annoyed, condescending tone. I said yes and she told me I needed grip socks, if I didn't have any to go bare foot. And returned back to the gossip with the other girls. This attitude / tone of voice continued as she briefly explained the reformer and walked away. I wasn't welcomed, asked for my name, asked if I needed any help, shown around the studio, nothing. I felt like a nuisance for being there. I felt like I was back in high school and this was the click of mean girls. Mid class she called me out to fix my form "Allie, is it?" Again very condescending. Yes, considering you know every other girl here, that's my name. You would know if you had welcomed me and introduced yourself. At the end of class there wasn't a single word as I quickly grabbed my things and left. Spent $40 to be treated like dog shit. Really sad that this place lives up to the "stuck up mean girl" stereotype around Pilates. Do better. It's a shame because the studio is beautiful and I would have loved to be a regular here. But this place will never get my money again. I follow their instagram and this instructor is always looking for clients to fill up her classes. You can't run a female dominated business and be a mean girl.

The instructors are great here and that's including the sweet dog name Luna! She greets ever client with a sweet kiss and says hello to welcome us at the door! She definitely sets my mood to a zen state of mind! I recommend taking Val's class for Buti Yoga and Katie's class for Pilate! You literally get a great workout with these instructors!

It's perfect for people who are shy or feel a little bit awkward around many others when first started. You will get VIP experience for private class. She also offers duet class or group class so you will have many options. If you are not sure about anything, she also offers free trail class so you can experience it first. The location is also good for UConn students or anyone near the area. It's much easier to keep practicing when you don't have to drive 20 or 30+ min. I highly recommend Deb and her studio.

I found the studio on ClassPass, so I felt a little out of place when I first went (and still do somewhat) because everyone is always talking and seems to know everyone else, and there isn't always someone at the front desk so not sure exactly what to do. But I just stand around awkwardly until I find someone and figure it out. Class wise, they are great and also challenging, and can range from low key to sweating your face off. I enjoy lifting heavy weights and HIIT training mostly, so it's nice to come here and focus on core, smaller muscles, and stretching/rolling out. All the instructors I've worked with are really great. There's no water fountain here tho-- you can buy a bottle or fill up your own bottle from the bathroom sink. I've quit gyms before for that haha, but I think I'll keep taking my occasional classes since I enjoy the workouts so much.

First glance, I did not like that people could see right into the class, I wish the bottom half of the glass was at least frosted. You MUST have socks with grips, but if you forget, they sell some there. Cubbies for your stuff and a small "waiting room" where you can also see all the people in the class. Andy was great, I love that she subtly assisted me while instructing. Very knowledgeable of positions and subtle changes to get the most out of it. THIS IS A SIZE FRIENDLY piece of equipment, not once did I feel like I'd fall or break it. However, although the class is beginner, and it's supposed to be easier than floor Pilates, you will feel it, but it is doable. You can take a break of course if needed. They have a membership, which is a little pricey, given I believe you also need to pay a one time fee as well. They do have drop in classes for $35 though, which is nice. I will probably be back for a drop in soon.
