Excellent service - and very reasonably priced. My Honda Civic's starter finally stopped working and unfortunately this happened in a low clearance parking garage. I coordinated with Serkan at PQ to bring it in and he offered good advice to try to start it and diagnosing the problem. In the end, it still would not start and I used Lift Towing and Recovery to extract it and bring it in, a very complicated job. Serkan was transparent about pricing, we selected the part together from three different offers from various suppliers and he then gave me a ride to Panera. The car was fixed the same day and the total cost was $440, which is very reasonable for this kind of job. Plus he saved me $30-40 in Uber costs by dropping me off to (and picking me up from) Rockville town center. Serkan is not only a great mechanic, but he is also a great person. He treated me like an old friend even though it was my first time there!. When I went in for a spark plug change, we had a bit of a miscommunication (my fault) on whether I was going to bring spark plugs myself or not. I was ready to come back another day, but Serkan said not to worry, and went to the parts store himself that day to get the plugs. He even got me much better plugs than I had anticipated, without charging me extra! They also cleaned my air filters without me asking since they saw it was a bit dirty. Talk about great service! I also had some road noise I asked him to check out, and he assured me it was just mild wear on the tires making a noise and didn't need to be fixed. Amazing communication! This was my first time requesting a quote/messaging multiple businesses through yelp. I contacted 5 places, one estimated almost triple the price, dealership still hasn't called after 4 days.... PQ not only gave me the best (by far) estimates for my inquiries, once I arrived they were honest and let me know what I didn't actually need to have done. This was, without a doubt, the best experience that I have ever had with an auto repair shop. As others have said, they truly live up to their name. PQ = Price and Quality. My brakes had been screeching so I assumed it was time for new pads and possibly rotors. I called three shops for an estimates and PQ was the best of the three. Given the price factor and the glowing reviews on Yelp, I figured I would give them a shot Well, as for "quality" I can't speak in regards to the quality of parts that are used (although I have no doubt that they are top notch), because it turns out that it wasn't a brake pad or rotor issue after all. There were actually two metal parts rubbing up against another. So, I had no need for new parts. They could have easily told me "Oh, yes. You need this, this, and this" as I and probably many of you have experienced with other garages. But no. They were honest, took the time to explain everything to me and what their solution was. They also expressed that this was not a perfect solution and that it might not fix it indefinitely, but it could do the trick and allow me to continue with my current pads and rotors as there was still plenty of life left in them. Full transparency and honesty. As I waited, Serkan and I had great conversation. He is an extremely genuine and sincere person, who makes you feel right at home. I cannot recommend Serkan and his team enough. As I told him yesterday, he has gained a customer for life after this experience. Incredible customer service, expertise, and prices! I had called around to a few shops in the area about a check engine code I received from Advance Auto Parts. Other shops were insisting on charging around $150 for their own diagnostic tests plus however much it would be to actually fix whatever was wrong with the car. I normally prefer to do my own repairs. I have a E46 BMW and when stationed in Germany in the '80s I was taught my German Mechanics on how to fix these complex cars.
