Brought my bike to Don after being referred to him by a good friend. Don had offered to do the whole service via mobile, and apparently it's the same price for this convenience (wow) but I wanted to stop by his shop the first time. Once there I was completely reassured that he knows what he's doing, and his goal is to take as much time as is needed on your ride in order to be very thorough. Had the BB bearings or wheels bearings needed replacing (they didn't), he had them on hand, which surprised me. I've been conditioned to wait for parts typically when having service done. After a 10-15 minute consult, left my bike with him, and he delivered it late that afternoon to my home and went over in detail things he found and fixed, and things that are needing attention soon, all with no "sales" pressure. Found things that I think other shops might have missed. Also made some fit modifications at my request to the stem, all for the level 4 tune up pricing. Rode it the next day on an endurance ride and it was fantastic. Very reasonable pricing for all of this as well... I am an avid ultra distance cyclist and marthoner. I have worked with bike shops and mechanics for over 20 years in Southern California. I only let the best mechanics touch my equipment. I cannot afford to have a mechanical during a 24 hour event. I tried Velo Mobile and was pleasantly impressed with their professional service. I just completed an event after their first service in 6th place w/o incident. They will be prepping my bike for my next challenge in April. There is no doubt that Don is a pro mechanic. Velo Mobile is convenient and not as expensive as a shop. Unlike a shop you are there while they work on your bike and they work with you to get your equipment tweaked out to your specifications. Great to deal with. Was going to have them rebuild my 2012 Specialized with new shocks front & rear and update it a bit. After talking with Don he suggested I not put my money into a 5 year old bike because the technology has changed drastically over the years. He offered use of two different demo bikes he had in. One was the 2017 Trance, the other the 2017 Anthem. I had the opportunity to ride each bike on the trail for a couple days. The Anthem seemed to fit my riding style better and it handled 10x better than my 5 year old bike. I'm glad he suggested riding the demo's and not just taking my money and reworking my 5 year old bike. I now have a bike I am much happier with, and everything is NEW, not just the shocks! Stopped by the Velozoom shop with my finicky CX bike that had been to multiple shops without ever meeting my hopes for fixes. Velozoom got it right. Spent a few minutes describing what my issues and concerns were, and given some options and recommendations by Don. No pressure at all. I decided to go with all the recommendations, had the bike back in a week (parts had to be ordered). Delivered to my house as promised on a Friday night. Did the first test ride, and everything is working flawlessly. These guys are super professional, reasonably priced, competent - what more could you ask for?!?! Let me say that as a Triathlete that I am in need of some serious care constantly on my tri bike as it requires it. Some bike shops do not like working with athletes and I have to say that I absolutely love the entire staff at VeloZoom. Don and Amber are awesome. The know more about cycling stuff than NASA knows about outer space. They have moved their place up to NE Mesa, and are right next to all the Usery Park and Forest trails. They have a great support center that is open 24/7 where you can get parts, water, air, and supplements/food in a vending machine. Just got a new E Bike for the ball and chain and she just loves it. Velozoom ordered it, assembled and delivered, no muss, no fuss. Any cycling needs that I have, I go to Velozoom and I would highly recommend the same to anyone out there. read more

He was very patient, let me demo two different style MTBs and based on my feedback and my longer term goals recommended the Instinct. Used this service to have my TT bike repaired. They showed up on time...picked up my bike and when I got home from work it was in my garage fixed and ready to ride! Great service at a fair price. They fit me in at the last minute during a very busy week (Ironman in town plus an event in Tucson) and had great communication. This was a much more convenient option as opposed to bringing the bike to a shop, waiting several days, and then making another trip back and forth. I often travel with my bike and while I was in AZ, I had a few issues I needed fixed in addition to a tuneup. Someone recommended Velozoom with their pickup/drop off or mobile service. I found that this small local business provided excellent service at a great price.
