Sure, if you can't survive a couple hours without alcohol, you can splurge and sink some earnings in to a beverage and even scarf down some food for a premium. Passed on all that this time. This felt permanently temporary and with good reason- it is. It was exciting to stomp on the metal bleachers when that happened. It also felt like a high school rally where the kiddos would stomp and pout and make as much noise as they could. Found myself applauding because that seemed appropriate at the time but could not understand what seemed like trying to play an instrument with your feet on the metal bleacher. Parking seemed convenient enough. $15 for the evening with a back exit to split when the time came. It will cost more at the new place because this is left over space from a pretty much fallen California Exposition Center. They'll have to pave new lots. Yay. Bathrooms were porta-potties. Most of them were anyways. Yet another permanently temporary band-aid. Let's hope they don't take them out to the new stadium. Food venues looked like leftovers from the fair. Not about that. The "premium" spots gated and guarded by folks who want more money to sit down will hopefully get some real upgrades as opposed to the fancy net protecting them at this place. It seemed warm and the stadium was half in the sun upon arrival so shorts and a t-shirt were too much. Sun went down and it got a little chilly so the scarf-ish thing was welcome. Surrounding stadium area: Located at Heart Health Park in Cal Expo, the Sac Republic facility is a really nice spot. Outside of the field was almost a dozen food (pizza, Greek, Tacos, German, frozen treats, etc.) & drink trucks (beers, Margaritas, Agua Frescas, etc.) options. Stadium area: VIP seating to the South, Home field side to the West, Away side to the East, and the tall bleachers to the North. SRFC also has a really nice field. Overall: Good area, good assorted food & drinks options, good stadium.

It is located on the northern part of the campus closer to J Street. Parking is pretty easy with a very large parking garage near the facility which includes abundant EV charging. The Nest is actually on the smaller side. They recently repainted the interior which makes it a little darker and feeling a little smaller than before. Seating is basic with bleachers and retractable chairs along the side court section. The nice part of this is that all seats are really close to the action. As you enter the Nest, there is a small concession stand selling nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. Tickets are sold online, but they also sell tickets at the game. Restrooms are small and old, but the crowds are usually small so it's not an issue on the mens side. Staff are great and helpful, even for the opposing team's fans. If you are like me and root for the other team, sit behind the visitors bench for the "Away" section. Come here for a great basketball game. The games are less than two hours and action packed. Sure, you could pay more and see professionals downtown. However, the Hornets Nest is a great way to see the action up close and is cheap enough for the whole family to enjoy.

Even when I lived on campus, I would make my way down here because this place was never empty. And I never failed having someone ask me for a friendly game of pool while I was practicing by myself over here. They have plenty of pool tables in great condition and I would spend a lot of time here because the rates are ridiculously cheap since I was a student. I could practice for hours and my wallet wouldn't hurt afterwards. I miss this place.

They allowed 2-3 guest per member and had to call ahead of time to put the guest names. They had lots of parking in the front and the front desk area was nice. They had staff working to check us in. They had 4th of July theme decorations with TV screen of the newest events going around the neighborhood. We walked around the club house and it had nice decor and cozy feeling. They had many amenities like a gym, private event room, study rooms, recreation room with billiards and fuse ball, breakfast/dining area, lounge, steam and dry sauna, pool, fitness room with mirrors work out screens, showers/bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and soap and three pools. We walked around and saw the pool area was huge with the main pool behind the gate, kids pool, track pool, and jacuzzi with many lounge chairs. We brought our own towels and stuff to hang around the pool. We mostly swam in the track pool because it was less crowded. The people we were very nice about sharing the space because some people were practicing their strokes. You have to be mindful if you wanted to play music or bring extra pool accessories because there are some rules. Downside is that if you wanted to BBQ it has to be reserved ahead of times for parties. The steam and dry sauna were so nice to dry off but so hot. I definitely think it's worth being a member for this community and at reasonable monthly price too.

Only come if you're in the area as we felt it was a small exhibit compared to some others we have seen before in other museums like in San Francisco. This particular Righting a Wrong exhibit educates us that is not taught in schools unfortunately. We pray this doesn't happen to people ever again. We are Good Day Sacramento watchers so it was nice to see them advertise it to locals. This temporary exhibit ends 3.25.23. See it only if you're interested. It's good education. We happen to be there when a couple was taking picture of an artifact that was part of their Japanese family. That's cool & profound. I purposely did not take pics of inside of the museum so it forces one to get out & see the exhibit. We don't like to spoil it for others! Right? By the way they do have a washroom. Strange when we got there first the lights weren't on in much of the museum & bathroom.

We were lucky to catch this Smithsonian traveling exhibit before it left this small museum. It is a…read moresmall but impactful collection, I was reading everything and it took me 50 minutes. It was wonderful to see an elderly Japanese man walking through and discussing his family's story. Such oral history can not be underestimated. I also did not want to share pictures of the exhibit as I hope others will come here to support this little local event. It was a great thing to do on a rainy day. I loved hearing about how proud the staff are of the upcoming events. I have posted the 2023 events in one of the pictures.
